Great video Mark, I love this idea, I just need to get a family member to volunteer to be a mode so I can give this a try. i am finding your channel & videos, very, very helpful with my photography.
As I have a new cell/smart phone that allows me to use manual settings on the camera ( with a smartphone clamp for my tripod ), I think I'll give this a go !!
I've tired this technique but unfortunately the subject always appears blurry even though i tried to make the subject as still as possible but no use. Any suggestion ?

It would have been more convenient for the girl to push trigger and you hold the lights or get a wireless trigger. IMHO.
