Nice looking slab of beef you had to cook there. These Tera Tula's are giving a great alternate view of the States and the countryside much better than some channels with big rig tailers and Motorhomes. Just as in sailing the two of you give a more comfortable exploration and practical view of areas.
So happy you guys liked my home state, we have some beautiful places here. To answer your question about the red roads it's because of the aggregate used from that area. I think they look pretty cool. Safe travels!
I'm with you Sierra, I like my drinks as cold as possible. And beer with ice crystals in it is best.

Cool, I'm glad you made it to my home state. Most cheese in Wisconsin is good. Just depends what you like. It's a rare occasion that a moose wanders into Wisconsin.

The roads are red due to the iron deposits in the local rocks which are used as a base to make the roads and then have other stuff added to hold them together
We are called Wisconsinites. The roads are red up there due to the amount iron in the soils. Iron ore was mined in northern WI for a time.
I also love ice water. I have one of those yellow water coolers used on construction sites. I buy a bag of ice every 3-5 days and drink the ice melt. Generally commercial ice is made from filtered water. Always cold, tastes good and not very expensive.
A fellow count downer (lol). When cooking, i too se a count down system. Stay safe in unknown areas.
The yellow Squash are called Patty Pan squash. Excellent table fare.

Lived in WI for a while that the apartment had an Artesian well for the water in the house. It's much better quality than any other water I have ever lived with.

Wisconsin ROCKS. Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese (all over)... Danish (From Racine)... Sailing in Door County with all the Cherries... Your in the north so make sure you have a pastie.. (meats, veggies cooked in a pie crust).
'Cheeseheads' is another name for 'Wisconsonites, and Wiscononsites is the officialy recognised term.

I have a lot of extended family in the Milwaukee area. Beer, beer, beer and cheese and sometimes beer cheese. They are famous for their cheddar but dairy lands make many different cheeses. I got sick on two much mozzarella as a kid and refused to eat it for years lol. --Jessica from Florida 🌞
Sheboygan, WI is the surfing capital of the midwest! I'm surprised that wasn't a stop on your travels. Door County is another great destination if you're looking to stay close to the water. Lake Michigan has a lot to offer from the Wisconsin side!

I love Wisconsin! When I lived in Chicago I kept a permanent camping spot in Baraboo right next to Wisconsin Dells. (The water park capital of the world 😀.) Cheese curds are the famous thing you get in Wisconsin but I'm not particularly fond of them! All kinds of stuff to do where your at. I love it so much there that I've recently been looking into moving there and it looks pretty promising. Good wages, low crime and 15000 lakes. Works for me! Have fun!❤️🦈

We go by Cheese Heads. If you can find fresh Cheese Curds you can't go wrong. You will know if they are fresh if they squeak when you bite them.

Gaia GPS has layers that define camping spots and areas. It is in layers. Some areas don’t have signs but are not for camping.

There's not much better than good well water and nothing much worse that bad well water. Luckily you found the good water. Looks like you guys are having fun but at this point I think you're probably well south of Wisconsin. Keep the good stuff coming.

Go to a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol have a drink and stay the night. They can't make you leave or they would be promoting drinking and driving.

You can tell the doneness of a steak by pressing the back of it with your fork. The more spongy the steak, the more rare it is. Well done steaks don't have much sponginess. Your performance will improve over time.
