Good to see ya up and about. Great video and perfect timing as I've been thinking about a setup like this but didn't want to jump in the deep end w/ Morning Star and Widi. This setup is perfect for desktop mucking about and will look great placed in front of the keyboard/ pedalboard.. I ordered both units immediately, should be here later this week. Many thanks for your hard work and dedication, I've learned so much from your vids and look forward to more content 😀
Thanks Jimi! It was a couple of tough weeks, but much better feeling now. Yeah, this little guy is really cool to experiment with. Thanks for the kind words and always being here, bro 🤘🏻
TY for this, would you happen to know that if I bought the BT MIDI adapter for my GX10 - if the M-Vave Chocolate would be compatible? Trying to search but not having any solid luck. I would think so but.. thank you for your time..
Great video, very useful, thank you very much 👍👍👍 I managed to set a switch to enable/disable the tuner (via "Assign Settings") but: Question 1: How to do it for all memories? via "Control Function" which allows me a "Prefence" = "System"? Question 2: How to set other switches for Bank Up / Bank Down? Thank you very much in advance for your valuable feedback. PS: I went to the Facebook forum, but I didn't find anything
@@ingenierojavy someone else had asked about that, I would say to check the Boss manual and you will see cc# codes for up and down bank. Thanks about the video, wish I could help quicker. But their site should have the codes for that. 🤘🏻
Hey DD. I am still trying to figure out how to enable carryover of delay or reverb when switching memories. The manual method does not make it happen. Tried to change in effect and master and nope. Delay cut off when switching memory. Any tips? Thanks in advance.
Thx again man, super fun stuff! Only hooked up Akai keyboard w/ wireless midi dongle to windoz laptop and iPad so far, killer!! Stripped down rig, Akai w/ wireless midi > ipad bt > DCLX or Air EX. Simple and elegant ( battery powered and wireless) solution 😊 Just the beginning, so many ways to muck around and clobber together gear to experiment with " well, will THIS idea work" kind of stuff. Wireless midi dongle + M-VAVE with GX100, with RC500, with audio interface, with Air Fryer? Unlimited possibilities 😂
Hahah if you get the air fryer worked out, lmk cuz I effin love mine hahah. I am stoked you got this all rolling along so quickly and just saw your pic on the fb group. In case you see this first, which Akai is that?? Looks bigger than mine…thus better.
Hmm, I don’t think so. I tried to get the Chocolate to pair to the Boss BT unit, and they wouldn’t talk. The only way I could get it to see the GX was to use that dongle.
@DoubleDguitar thanks for the reply! I only received the M-VAVE footswitch today in the mail and had hopes of getting to work somehow with my Boss Pocket GT because it is capable of being used with the Boss wireless footswitch, FS-1-WL.......and in the app which controls the Pocket GT there's a menu where you can change the functionality of each switch individually to turn effects on or off.
can you please check if the boss bluetooth dongle will connect the mvave chocolate bluetooth mode. I just want to make sure before I buy the bluetooth dongle. Thank you in advance.
@ I am sorry I didn’t get a chance to over the weekend. I tried before to do it, it def didn’t work before. I have it on an amp, I can try again to confirm, but I am 99% sure it won’t work. But I will set myself a reminder to do it tonight when I get home from work.
This video should help you, it’s in the assignments section of the GX. It’s tough to troubleshoot in yt comments, I also recommend joking the GX users group on fb. Take your time, it’s not hard once you grasp the concept of how to set up the assignment.
It appears all I'm looking to do is instead of the M Vave A, Ba, C and D changing effects on and off, I need A to pull up 01-01, B to pull up 01-02, etc!!!
You’re welcome, glad you liked it! If you look through a couple more of my videos, you should see one about assignments and how to use them. You can do both of these a couple of ways, under your patch assignments, there are a large number of choices and you want to make the “target” category match up with the switch you want to use as the “source”. I also recommend getting on the Facebook gx100 users group, almost every question you could have would be already answered there. And good folks, easier to troubleshoot. Hope this answer gets you going in the right direction, you can absolutely do that.

Boss Ev-1-wl lost connection alot with Boss PGT too?
Would like to use the Boss Ev-1-wl with the Boss Katana Air EX.
It seemed to be more solid with the PGT, for me it’s their BT adapter add on for the GX100 that just seems super un-solid.
Haven't really had any issues w/ the EV, although haven't had much plug in time with it. Paired w/ PGT, WAZA headphones and Air EX.
@@JiMiBluEyeZ oh man, I bet it would rule with the Waza headphones.
Where did you buy those clear knobs caps for the GX-100?
They are Mooer Crystal Clear toppers. I just grabbed them from Amazon.
I want to use a midi foot controller to change presets but still use the buttons on the GX 100 to control effects on amd off. Can you olease help??
