I really wish the attachment had been a usual n strike deal too, but I think what I'll do is just glue the end piece from it's barrel onto the end of the blaster and keep it tiny. These small hammer prime blasters are so much fun to fiddle with, target shoot, and have in a bucket for friends to play with.

@@maritimefoam Having multiples DEFINITELY makes it easier to dig in and mod, less fear of wrecking your only one. Sometimes stuff is so ridiculous though that I don't care - personally once I've made a video of something I don't expect to ever use and that my kids don't like, it goes in a bin as mod fodder!
I love this little gem of a blaster! Luckily I saw Dr. Flux's video before I bought this guy, NOT to put the barrel on or it's a bear to get off lol. Again I don't have a hammershot so I can't compare but it's so fun priming a blaster like a Cowboy lol
3:33 Good to know that for a cosmetically modified build I'm making with just cutting the barrel right at the start of the letters I can still access the internals for repairs without need to take off the whole barrel. It makes the cosmetic modifications all that easier...
I took it off without removing the front thing bit, unscrew the screws on the front of the gun and the barrel, break the barrel open, from there, the bit that is left has 2 little flappy bits, push them outwards and it will just slide off!
so I actually ran into this issue and went to take the barrel apart and can confirm: if you have the tools, you only need to take the barrel's screws apart. with the clips, you'll need something like a flathead screwdriver to get under the clips and lift up, but you don't need to take the whole gun apart and can be left with the original barrel.

I just took the barrel and shroud off until just the clip cover was stuck on. pried one clip up, and then used a pocket knife to separate the clip cover from the front face of the barrel where it sits flush. I tried pulling both clips up at the same time, but I think with the shell together it holds onto the muzzle face more than the clip lugs.

These 2 springs (one wide and short one and one narrow and tall one) fell out while disassembling the blaster and now the cylinder won’t rotate after being cocked and the trigger is all loose
This video made me kind of want a hammershot, it has more 3d printed options like a 7 dart cylinder and extended hammer and one of the colors is green/purple. I just wonder how small the handle is.
I think the hammershot has a better handle. I find the fortnite 6-sh awkward. Yes the stock performance is a little higher, but I think the hammershot is a better blaster. Unpopular opinion haha.
That splatter colour hammer shot is very nice looking for sure. There is also the rebelle sweet revenge, as well as a couple of others under a different name. Very similar mechanically, but different sleaker shells that resemble classic revolvers. I find that they are more comfortable to hold, as there is more room for your middle finger compare to the hammer shot where my knuckle always hits the trigger guard.

@@maritimefoam Amazon Canada had them for 18 bucks not too long ago as a sale, so it might happen again. Same with the special edition Disruptor repaints. My friend's kid has one.

I found an easier way! Take apart the front barrel and pull the uncolored Fortnite side off, then unscrew the front two screws on the actual blaster. Then pull the other side off, the two removed screws allow you to pull the sides off, then prop the clips open with a small flathead and toothpicks. Bring a few extra toothpicks, the tips will snap. Then slide the little clip panel off and rebuild the barrel if you want.

You can save a lot of time by just breaking the barrel open, (assuming you don’t want to mod the barrel).
For sure, I needed up dremelling mine out and making it N-Strike compatible :)

You just need to take your time, look as you’re doing it and try and figure out what is blocking it from clipping together :)

I did it the easy way by unscrewing the front piece and the rest was just brute force
I made the mistake of putting the barrel on and I don’t have the right tools to take it off
All you need is a number 1 Phillips screwdriver, available at any hardware store or even dollar store :)
