This feels like the true end to the 4 main classic Sonic games, 1, 2, 3, and CD. Too bad I can’t find a longplay of the remastered Sonic CD with the US ost.
Favorite part the animation of the race vs Metal Sonic. Nostalgia! So many hours and effort to see this ending, in the days devs cared to give to the player something cool at the end.
God the energy that comes from that guitar at the end is so amazing! This ending theme has such dark sounds, gives a sort of a sad vibe almost, tho not quite.
Oh man, that music, that game... it's all so perfect, they dedicated themselves so much, they used so much determination to make this game! And the game ending is just so beatiful... the final cutscene rewinds everything you've made in the game... every suffering, every anger you passed to beat this game that is so cool. Every single moment just passes in a flashback in your head, while a beatiful almost angelical song plays in the background. The felling of happiness is so big, and so big that i almost have a heart attack. And the feeling of satisfaction for beating the game and save the world doing a good future is so great. While doing the bad ending destroy this happiness sensation, and you fell you've did a wrong thing, this game is not only a normal Sonic game, this gives a lesson that fits to the entire life: do the thing the right way. What a beautiful ending, because of this, this is my favorite Sonic game.
I LOVE the Guitar close out!! Just perfect!! I forgot how many hours of life I wasted as a teenager finding all the emeralds and secrets to beat this game for the good ending. LOL

I used to own Sonic CD and played that game REPEATEDLY. I can't tell anyone how much I loved this game! When polygons were becoming all the craze, Sega unleashed this monster with Japanime level animation. I just KNEW Sega was going to head in a new direction using more animation......Sadly, I was wrong...This is still my favorite Sonic game of all time, one of my favorite games ever, and IMO the true sequel to the original Sonic.Please do not take this video down.

Gotta admit I like both endings of this, I just feel like the US Version better fits the bad ending and the JP fits the good ending. Am I the only one?

***** Nah, they were fun and back in the era the 3D thing was very cool and innovative for a game console (curiously I think Sonic franchise got ruined when it moved to 3D unlike Mario that aged well). The easy stages were fun but the harder were very hard. Now if we are talking about the good ending I never did it through the especial stages, that’s faster but much harder, you could also do it by having a “good future” in ALL the stages, that’s easier but takes you much more time and you need to know and explore each of them. Or you think the people that took all that work deserve at the end the same thing that the ones that finished the game easy cheap and dirty?
