    Hey Daniel, I know this comment is coming quite late but I wanted to say thank you. I saw this around when it came out and it inspired me so deeply. It’s a tradition in my family for men to propose to their future wives with a handmade ring. My grandpa carved one out of wood, my father made one out of tinfoil at a restaurant. I used your video as a guide, quartz dust and clay from the park my partner and I met at, to make them an engagement ring that turned out absolutely gorgeous. I’m proposing on our anniversary, the day of the eclipse (in the states! we are right in the middle of the totality path). I love my partner with all my heart, and it makes me so happy that I, with no previous workshop experience, could set this up in my office and make something beautiful for them. Thank you so much for this video, and wish me luck!!!

I use UV resin, any epoxy resin spare I make buttons with, for the rings though, I apply the resin with a 00 paintbrush, tried using a toothpick, disaaaaster dahling lol but this tumbler idea is a proper game changer! • @fritopaws
    @fritopaws Год назад +1

    These are great! Another thing to put on my wishlist 😉. Little by little I'm finding greater reason to clooge together a turning station. I know we have a BBQ rotisserie that we don't really use anymore. Have to get up the courage to get my husband to put something together with added pool noodles for mugs and stuff. (it's getting harder to justify making all these different things!🤭) Pretty sure that would work.
    Another thought on the tape sizing - would it be faster to maybe use a thicker foam tape to get to the bigger sizes? 🤔 Seems a bit tedious/wasteful to spin that much masking tape to fit the larger rings.
    Thanks Daniel!👍

    • @daniel..cooper
