Hey Daniel, I know this comment is coming quite late but I wanted to say thank you. I saw this around when it came out and it inspired me so deeply. It’s a tradition in my family for men to propose to their future wives with a handmade ring. My grandpa carved one out of wood, my father made one out of tinfoil at a restaurant. I used your video as a guide, quartz dust and clay from the park my partner and I met at, to make them an engagement ring that turned out absolutely gorgeous. I’m proposing on our anniversary, the day of the eclipse (in the states! we are right in the middle of the totality path). I love my partner with all my heart, and it makes me so happy that I, with no previous workshop experience, could set this up in my office and make something beautiful for them. Thank you so much for this video, and wish me luck!!!
Mr Cooper! You are determined to bankrupt me! 😂 Loving these new inspirations it's really getting me back into the groove of getting in my workshop finally. Thank you ❤
Thank you so kindly Daniel. Lol I have the same mind as you. I'm a female..daughter of a sailor. Did my apprenticeship in auto body repair and then went into nursing.. Most people think the same. We just say it out loud. Lol❤
Ok so you're now my favourite resin guy! I use UV resin, any epoxy resin spare I make buttons with, for the rings though, I apply the resin with a 00 paintbrush, tried using a toothpick, disaaaaster dahling lol but this tumbler idea is a proper game changer! I've subbed and now I must sit on my butt all afternoon watching all your content! 😂 Big luvs!!
I agree with JoJo. You show us something and most of us go out and buy the stuff to make what you made! My most expensive thing I bought from watching you is that FX special paint. The shipping on that was $30. That did not include the price for 2 bottles! I love your resin ideas and will continue buying the stuff you use!
What an amazing tutorial. I was using leftover resin to mold anything I could find. This video inspires me to spend money on something I really like. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Daniel! I just subscribed, previously been lurking, LOL. I enjoy your videos both for entertainment and education. I have already purchased some material and equipment based on your work, so I felt compelled to subscribe. Keep up the great work! And keep experimenting! Thanks, Al
Love, love, love these and I have a box of them but, had been too nervous to do anything with them. This has made me get my backside moving Daniel. Thanks so much 😊
Thanks for all the great advice and links to supplies. I like the turner and I am ordering one through Amazon. I did subscribe to your channel. Good Video well worth the watch.
i have that tumbler turner as i do tumblers, but never thought about doing rings on them so now added some to my amazon basket lol...thank you for the tutorial :)
thanks for the vid once again very educational and entertaining to watch, ill share a hack with you, if you wish to put a black, blue, red background without using resin I just use a sharpie (texta colour) to apply the colour first up, we do have something in common, our wicked ,perverse sense of humour, keep on laughing mate, cheerio from downunder
genius! I've wondered what else I could use my cup turner for... next "experiment" is the Petri dish or silicone oil technique. just how detailed can you make a ring....
Love your videos Daniel!! Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but as I watch this what if you just fitted it with a wring mandrel, a small one of course. I am going to try it out. I will let you know how it works out.
I'm just watching your videos and have an idea. For the end to put your rings on use the end of a pool que. I reshape my rings round again using this method x
I saw a man making a ring not with resin but something similar. He was using a lathe to spin. He sanded the part that will receive the resin to give it some tooth for the resin to cling to.
These are great! Another thing to put on my wishlist 😉. Little by little I'm finding greater reason to clooge together a turning station. I know we have a BBQ rotisserie that we don't really use anymore. Have to get up the courage to get my husband to put something together with added pool noodles for mugs and stuff. (it's getting harder to justify making all these different things!🤭) Pretty sure that would work. Another thought on the tape sizing - would it be faster to maybe use a thicker foam tape to get to the bigger sizes? 🤔 Seems a bit tedious/wasteful to spin that much masking tape to fit the larger rings. Thanks Daniel!👍
Daniel, I wonder if a ring mandrel would fit into the end of the hollow post? If it's a light weight, cheap one (wood?) it shouldn't bog down the motor...I hope?! The rings are really beautiful, Dan! Super clever way to protect the rings while they cure! 👍😊 This is such a cool setup! Love those cups! BTW, thx for the intro to Tracey's channel the other day. I subbed. Love her stuff!
This was so interesting to watch. I don't currently have a cup turner, but I have been thinking of getting one down the line. It's good to know the various things you can do with one. Your rings are awesome. Let us know how they sell! 💙
Hi Mr. Cooper i have a UV Varnish sealer can i use this on the ring it says glossy i have seen many of your vdeo in youtube i just love how well you explain i am new to resin and i just brought the rings so i am going to try to do one thanks again for this tutorial have a wonderful christmas
The way I clean my silicon cups after I’m done, I just let the resin cure… the. I flip it inside out, grab my roll of packing tap and wrap some around the cop… the resin come straight off!
The thing I dislike about the silicone ones is sometimes, you get The resin off but there's still a weird sticky film, haven't had that with these yet 🥰
@@daniel..cooper but they are so tiny! lol …. I always wipe everything out with a baby wipe after I get the resin out… never had a weird stickiness like that before… And damn it, now I gotta go buy a tumbler turner machine…. But the bright side, it has a pen adapter so I can make ink pens with it too…. Win win! Not to mention tumblers and those awesome rings!!!!!

Oh wow! This is amazing! Thanks so much for telling me this! Congratulations and good luck..... I'm sure your partner will love it! ❤️

Thank you so kindly Daniel. Lol I have the same mind as you. I'm a female..daughter of a sailor. Did my apprenticeship in auto body repair and then went into nursing.. Most people think the same. We just say it out loud. Lol❤

Very relaxing to watch. Thankyou for sharing ❤😊
Brilliant idea 😮 👏
Why waste resin ?
I'm ordering some straight away.
I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks Mr. Cooper ! 👍
Thanks Julia 😊 Even the scrapings from a cup would make one, they hold so little 🥰
Wow 😮 Daniel, what a marvellous idea. Well done you, they look beautiful. I love them. Thank you so much for sharing that one! ❌☘️🥰
Thanks as always Andrea 😊
Daniel, thank you so much for your videos. You are Great at explaining and I love your sense of humor.

I’ve not long got my turner. I have been making a few rings and I’ve got tiny gold nuggets to go in some. Excited to try this . Thanks

You are very welcome 😊😊 thank you 😊
That was cool. I didn't think rings would be that easy. Going to try it.
Pretty cool!
Thanks Dolli 😊😊
Love the rings, Thanks Daniel
Thanks as always Gail 😊
Had the blanks for awhile but couldn’t work out how to make the rings without turning. Simple is always best. Thanks Daniel.
Awesome, have fun Mike 😊😊😊
Awesome rings. I am so excited to try this.
What an amazing tutorial. I was using leftover resin to mold anything I could find. This video inspires me to spend money on something I really like. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for hitting that button 😊😊😊
BRILLIANT HACKS AND OMG SO PRETTY
Thanks Tammy 😊
Great video and more apt for alot of people who would like to do this ourselves without having a wood turner to get the excess of well done
Thank you. I’m trying to watch all your videos!! I’m pacing myself. Lol
Love, love, love these and I have a box of them but, had been too nervous to do anything with them. This has made me get my backside moving Daniel. Thanks so much 😊
You are so talented, thanks for all your amazing videos!

Good Video well worth the watch.
Thanks for subbing! 🥰🥰
Hello Dan! xx 🎉
Hi 👋 😊
I can’t wait to try.
Very 😎 cool
You could even make mood rings with them. You would have to purchase thermotropic liquid then apply clear resin. I think it would work.
Yes, that's one of my coming vids 😊😊 hope it works 😊
Thanks so much for another awesome tutorial Daniel. Love these!! ❤
Thanks Sarah 😊
they turned out very nice. I love that you used regular resin, not UV. You made it look so easy. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 😊 Next vid I cheat with uv but can be done with regular 😊
Takes longer without. TIme is money
i have that tumbler turner as i do tumblers, but never thought about doing rings on them so now added some to my amazon basket lol...thank you for the tutorial :)
Awesome! Very welcome Patricia 😊 🙏
Great to watch, love the colours ❤

Thank you 😊
Fantastic great idea ❤️❤️
Thank you! 🙏 I struggled for an hour figuring out which tools to buy.
Awesome.
Love this, I've been learning to do rings .
Thank you. 😊
Brilliant idea!
Isn't it just! 🤩🤩
Going to give it a try.
Really like this, thanks for a great tutorial ❤
Thanks Maddie 😊 🫂
This is how I do mine, I changed the turning post because my ring was too small for the one that came with it. I used a wooden mandrel instead of
Thank you Daniel for showing how to make these amazing rings ❤
Thanks Lyn, very welcome 😊
Just had to order the tumbler. I got the ring blanks a while back. Love this tutorial.
Thanks Myla, so worth having 😊😊

This is so cool, I would love to do this but I just don't have the space rn😂 but when I do I'll have this video to help me! Thanks Dan😁
Very welcome 😊 🙏
Wow 😍
I have some blanks already I got them after seeing Steve do them but I want to get some in black before I try it. But yours are stunning Daniel
Thank you 😊 Yes, I have some different colors coming too 😊😊
The cup turner is a game changer! Thank you! I wonder though about the heat of wearing this all day especially outdoors in the summer.
They should be absolutely fine 😊😊
Wow amazing ❤
Thanks Anita 😊
I absolutely love these, they are so pretty! I'm sure they will sell quickly.

Love

I love these 💖💙🖤
Thanks Shell 🥰🥰
I saw a man making a ring not with resin but something similar. He was using a lathe to spin. He sanded the part that will receive the resin to give it some tooth for the resin to cling to.
I'm gonna get a pool noodle and carve it down to a cone to fit multiple sizes
Great thinking! 👍

That would work brilliantly I think! And yes, the tape would be better if thicker and spongy, I just used this as it came in the set 😊😊
You could even use a syringe.❤ love your videos. Thank you
Great idea! Or a pipette 😊😊
Nice
Thanks 😊
Love this video! What is that white glitter you are using? Where can I find it? Thank you! Keep up the good work!!!
In the description box 😊😊😊

Awesome, thanks for following Tracey too. I will try a mandrel soon, I only have a metal one at present.

Thanks, it may work but I haven't tried so can't say for sure, sorry
Here’s a trick. You can purchase very inexpensive plastic ring mandrels online and replace the tube on the machine with the ring mandrel.
I keep meaning to try this 😂
😊❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂 “sorry about that… rude movement…”
😂😂😂

Love this. Where do you get your ring blanks?
It's all explained in the vid 😊😊
Would using black mica cure in uv resin? 😊 damn stunning colours
It sure does, just not too much 😉
Hi Daniel! Would this work with UV resin to add ashes to it?
Can you post a video on enhydro egate technique in resin?
I did think about trying to recreate it in resin, I will try soon 😊😊
Try the thermal powders
I have some coming 😊😊
@@daniel..cooper can’t wait to see what you do with them
So if I understand correctly you leave the ring to spin then dry naturally on its own? What if you wanted to use a UV lamp?
This is using 2 part, check out my other vids on this, I do use uv also 😊
Could u use ashes in these ring blanks?
Sure can 😊
Would I be able to use this method for memorial ring please
Yes but I haven't tried yet, some have, be sure to practise lots first 🥰
cant afford this tumbleeer and would take end june to receive it is there anyother way of doing these rings also need uk plug too
Steve mcdonald made some without a turner recently I believe 😊
You have a link for Tracy's Channel?
Hi, it's in the description box 😊😊🥰
@@daniel..cooper bless you my dear…
If you have to sand down, how do you do that without scratching the metal?
Cut a thin strip of sandpaper and keep the machine turning whilst carefully holding it in the center 😊
Seems that you could use an insulin syringe to apply the resin
Could you use uv resin?
Sure can 😊
