i didn't catch the price. Without the price this whole video is pointless. Sems realtors are afraid to tell people prices up front. People might get excited if they see a house near their budget. But expecting people to enquire when price ranges for homes can be way over the amount someone can pay. Big mistake not advertising the price. I think it must be taught in Realtor school, to try to reel people in without the price. It is a huge mistake.

Hi Jim, thank you for your feedback. I understand your frustration.
The list price for this beautiful home is $960,000
There is a link in the description which takes you to a page that advertises current list price. No enquiry necessary
Price is not advertised in the video because if it ever changed (eg, a price reduction) the video would become irrelevant and misleading.
Thank you for your input - if you are interested in this property, please have your Realtor contact me or email me at erinlairealtor@gmail.com

@@erinlairealtor You can put the price in the description and it can easily be changed. If you do add it, more people will contact you. There is a mistrust of Realtors when they hold back the most important detail in a house ( the price ). Like I said 960k might be right in a person's budget and they perceive that property as being ideal or even a great deal - the urgency that it may be sold quickly will put a fire under them to contact you right away.
I am not looking right now, but when I was if the Realtor needed me to contact them just to find out if the property is within reason of my budget, I just moved on to the next one. That shouldn't in any world be a secret to a potential customer. Time and time = when we were looking, I would phone on something that looked good and the price was way out of our budget.
You do that a few times and you stop inquiring about any advertisement that doesn't tell you the price up front.

@@JimRobinson-colors Thanks Jim. Sorry to hear about your frustrations as a buyer, I understand it can tedious at times and a tiresome process. Definitely could add price to the description and this is something to consider moving forward
Ideally the purpose of the video is to be eye catching, then direct viewers to the full listing description and details in the link
This process provides vital engagement data which helps me know if my marketing is working and provides valuable feedback to my sellers about the level of interest in their property, not just views. In my experience, most people do not make enquires via RUclips, they do so through trusted real estate websites and their realtors.
Rest assured there is intent behind my marketing structure to get the best result and information for my client (in this case the seller) and not to withhold or keep secret pertinent information from a buyer.
I absolutely hear your frustration and appreciate your input. I am aware that the real estate and sales industries have a lot of work to do to build trust with the public!

@@erinlairealtor Just ask yourself -"What is the most import fact about a house when it is for sale"?
And think that if the answer is the price, then you aren't giving people the one thing they want to know.
I used to be in a business that had dozens of Realtors for clients. When I asked them about marketing without a price. The common response was that they thought that if people phoned and found out they couldn't afford the home that they could then hook the customer in and work for them to find a home in their budget.
Which all sounds good. But most people are more educated these days, and even finding the homes- a realtor rarely can do any better in finding except in really rare cases. So trying to hook a customer becomes a nuisance to the customer and the marketing strategy might even turn people away from using you in any capacity.
my advice is to explain ad ask friends which they prefer. I have had this discussion before as a marketing person with friends and the overwhelming return was that the Realtor should be up front with prices - always.

@@JimRobinson-colors all great points, thanks Jim! I don’t require buyers to leave contact information - I don’t believe in this business practice either. It serves the agent, not the Seller client. Lots of different ways to do business! I value your insight and perspective
