    Thank you for this presentation. Even though I had some familiarity with floating-point hardware and history, I learned quite a bit from this video. I know you could not cover everything, but I still think it would have been worth mentioning William Kahan, who was both very involved with IEEE 754 (he won an ACM Turing award for this work), and also with algorithm development for early HP calculators. I wonder how much of his work still exists in modern HP calculators?

    Excellent video and thank you. I've purchased a number of the following devices that were 'pulls' and I've incorporated these in various circuits using 6502, Z80 and ATMEL designs. These came from the year 1979: AMD 9511 (AM9511) They made a 'significant ' difference to the compute speed of math on my systems.
