It works on Enhanced Edition also..But be warned.. The main idea of the intro is the game so heavy (even with SSD) I skipped the credits & still the game giving me wait around 30 sec (Ryzen 3600 + RX 6800 + SSD) This game is pretty, with great graphics, but the engine itself is so slow
This game is not that old but some of the choices devs made are so bizarre. Like no FOV option,no windowed mode and can't skip the intros at all with out going in to files and configs
This works but not perfectly. If you keep the videos it takes 43 seconds for the prompt that gets you to the main menu to appear. If you rename/delete the videos you get a 30 second black screen. It's faster but still annoying.
all this does for me is sends me to a black screen and then after the intro would otherwise be completed about a minute or two later it automatically goes to the menu instead of making me hit e. i guess its an improvement but not exactly what i was hoping for...
that intro is sooooo annoying it makes me want to break my computer every time it would happen, especially because sometimes you can skip but sometimes you can't. SOOO infuriating. also, why not allow windowed mode.. theres some really dumb crap they did with the UI in this game
Game won’t even start now. This is so irritating because I was able to just skip it for the first few hours. Gonna stop playing because the game was boring anyways. I don’t want to sit through this movie every time I start the game

I finish the game already, just every start up have to watch the startup video and after video have to wait 3-5 min metro exodus loading screen ... til main menu. That why I was searching for solution .. and found your video, but it's did not help too :)
@Ameno88 playing the game through epic games as well. And couldn't find a solution either. When I change those file's name or remove them completely, the game just crashes and doesn't start.
I had this issue and something that worked for me is to endure the intro/credits the first time and then in the video settings, change from using DX12 to DX11!
Great video! When it comes to renaming files I personally prefer to add a false extension called .skip at the end (ex. credits.webm.skip) This way you're less likely to mess up the original name and when you sort by filetype every file you've skipped will be grouped and listed as a "skip file"

Doesn't actually speed up time-to-main-menu at all. Suggest taking the video down as it isn't helping to speed up the process as it infers.

wow, funny I find a video less than 2 days old. I guess even after my 97 hours on metro, I wasn't able to bear the intro forever.
Hm.. I did this, then game crashes on startup. Just a black screen.
If I disable all 3 I get an error. I just disabled credits and now I don't have to watch the intro over and over.

The thing in the video only worked when I first went into the Video settings in-game and changed from using DX12 to DX11 and then renamed those files.
Yup, this doesn't work for the enhanced edition... Guess I'll need to figure out another work around.

In my case i just del those files and it became the same thing, so i just renamed credits as the same way he did, and everything went fine.
Imagine not being patient and just ruining an intro video like a fool.
It still keeps loading as it is.

I just put in "_" at the end of the file extension.
