Ever heared about vaults? You see that the depot was in the underground by the secondary detonation. If you would have ever served in an army you would know, that you use interconnected cellars and vaults for ammunition depots and not simply put it in a tiny shed.

This is urban warfare. As such, ammo is constantly moving from place to place. Warehouses and large sheds are all that's available.
Having a proper setup for ammo is something you usually see on military bases.
