What I don’t understand is that there are iPadOS 18 compatible ipads that cant fix your hand writing but all iPadOS 18 compatible iPads can do math notes which generates an answer with a handwriting similar to yours.
Besides as Aaron says all other iPads will get basic updates I don’t see Developers Beta as of yet to my iPad pro 10.5, 2017. It should be there minus advanced features. (I have subscribed to developer betas)

When Apple showed off Math Notes there was no "solve" button, it just solved automatically. Is the button just a part of the beta or will that be how it always works? That's definitely not as smooth as how Apple claimed it would be.

Steve Jobs famously liked small phones, and claimed no one would want to carry around a huge device.. Fast-forward a few years and now if you want a small device, you have to accept the fact that it’s going to be inferior and obsolete. As long as we are talking about AI for IOS 18, it would be prudent to address the very important risks of security and personal information exposure. Some notable people such as Elon Musk have stated ALL Apple devices with Open AI will be banned from Tesla and Space X properties. With 150,000 employees at Tesla and 15,000 at Space X, perhaps Elons warning of personal data exposure should be more closely addressed?
There is no personal information exposure with Apple intelligence. Apple has gone out of its way to make sure that it’s on device and anonymous if it needs to leave the device.

I upgraded from my iPad 5th gen (2017) to the Latest iPad Pro M4 13” and Im glad to see a big improvement from speed, screen, everything. The one thing I didn’t like is that it’s super thin because Im afraid that it would break/bend easily. But I’m really happy to see iOS 18 on my new iPad. My Last iPad only supported iOS 16 and it was slowing down alot and battery health is bad. I did spend a lot for the new iPad but I think it’s worth it
Yeah. Sucks. My 8th gen (2020) gets support, but only the basic features (fine)….which seems odd that my girlfriend’s 6th gen (2018)….which is just as capable will get zero iPadOS18 support at all. Basic iPadOS support for the sixth gen(2018) seems very doable. 🤷♂️

If you use notes it prompts ‘solve’ if you use math notes on the calculator it solves it automatically. Hope that helps.
