Getting a students trust at the door is so important for a good teaching experience for both teacher and student. This thing is dead on awesome man. I love my original EVH Frankie but really wanted on that was not striped so it looks "normal" when playing it at gigs. This fits the bill perfectly. I think I'm going to put a strat pickguard on it and a toggle switch so I can use the neck pickup. 🤷
I love my Frankie!! EVH coming out w these was such a great idea!! I love the white too and a gig bag. I ended up buying a Charvel case for my Frankie because it had a nicer compartment than the EVH case. That gig bag and headstock are highlights!!
I have the striped frankie and it was WAY better than I expected it would be. I bought it to hang up over my fireplace and nope, that can't happen. The necks on these guitars are excellent. Mine has flames and birdseyes in it too which I also was not expecting. I'm not really a fan of the plain ones though personally. But it's all good. Congrats! Tip: Order a 42mm brass block and trem stop from FU Tone The trem stop will give the floyd something more solid to rest on. On my frankie it didnt quite sit on the body how I liked and made this paint sticking noise whenever I did a dive, but with the stop and brass big block, it really brings it up a notch.

This by FAR! This is my #1 guitar with a Floyd Rose. The EVH Frankie's and striped series sound and feel better than Wolfgang's. Just my opinion though 😀🤟🏻

I have the original Frankie from 2021 and came across one of these used and thought the guy painted over his Frankie lol! I have to say, for the price, the Charvel Henrik Danhage is the way I'd go for a relic'd vintage white super strat for $300 less. Sweet guitar nonetheless!

People say these are for those who want a Frankie, but without the obvious connection to EVH...but then all the EVH fans buy them anyways😂 They already make a non-EVH looking model: it's called the 5150 Standard, and is fantastic👍🎸
I think this GTR is kind of a Silly Product, yes I do not want a Frankie, as I am not VH and that is his Iconic Gtr and I find it very cheese for others to play on a gig with a Frankie.... now yes I think the neck and feel of that GTR is awesome...so why they did not manufacture a clean Gtr with the same specs and neck of the Frankie? without that silly single coil or maybe put a good one that works... and definitely we do not need the pickup selector and the bad cavity for the Humbucker..... that will be a hit...nevertheless...congrats on your guitar
Sounds like the intonation is pretty damn spot on did you have to adjust your action or the pick up to your liking? You know we have to fiddle with that stuff lol
@@markwebb9063 I've left it stock. Since the pickups are screwed into the body you really can't change the height unless you put foam under them. Action was fine for my needs. It was really dialed in when I got it. It was when they first came out. Like the first week or two.

Thank you! I am a strong advocate and lover of the EVH Frankie's made in Mexico. My red black and white striped one absolutely kills it! This one is right on par and is it's equal. There's something about the neck, the way the pickup and body vibrate. It's simply tremendous. No exaggeration!

That neck looks great, body leaves you plenty room to mod it (I’d throw a working single coil in the neck). Relic, I could do without, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Awesome axe!

Evh ideas: stealth striped Frankie’s or Wolfgang’s, swirl/splatter finish, sustainers, 24 fret, Wolfgang’s hollow body guitar, Evh bass, mini 3/4 scale wolfgangs. Nah let’s make Frankensteins with primer paint.
I like the new frankenstein series but they are fairly expensive for what they are. It is nice to see that they're doing something at EVH and not just letting the brand stagnate. Its about damn time with the gig bag though, but it still bugs me that they can't include a hardcase for that price. It's like c'mon evh, get your shit together, even epiphone ships a $900 guitar with a case.
When you engage the D-tuna at 14:17, is there a reason you held the whammy bar down? Does the reduced string tension help keep the E in tune during the switch? I've heard the D-tunas can be finicky, so I was wondering if this was some kind of fix.

Very cool. The Wolfgang pickups are my favorite factory wound pickups. They have such a nice burn on the end of their signal. Ed was a tone God.
People love throwing Duncan’s into their Baretta Specials but I’m waiting for a good deal on a Wolfgang pickup. Nothing beats em.
The Wolfgang pickups are too hot and saturated, imo. They're good for covering up slop, but I swap them out every chance I get.

@@mixc5967 have not had that issue with the Wolfgang. If that happens it sounds like the not slot needs to be filed just a tad. Easy fix. 😎🤟🏻

I hope EVH focuses on more original designs.
I like the new frankenstein series but they are fairly expensive for what they are. It is nice to see that they're doing something at EVH and not just letting the brand stagnate.
Its about damn time with the gig bag though, but it still bugs me that they can't include a hardcase for that price. It's like c'mon evh, get your shit together, even epiphone ships a $900 guitar with a case.

When you engage the D-tuna at 14:17, is there a reason you held the whammy bar down? Does the reduced string tension help keep the E in tune during the switch? I've heard the D-tunas can be finicky, so I was wondering if this was some kind of fix.
It just easier to get my fingers around since it is almost flush to the body. 👍
