    @TheMPOEye Her biggest ever hit, "Boots" was his idea, song, production and/or advice...so that worked out well for her.

    I had to look up and see if this song came first, or the book with the same title. Pretty sure it was the book. Although it is hard to tell when a song was written without looking at the sheet music.

    What minimal talent Nancy had, Lee managed to draw out. Without him, she would likely have flopped completely.

      She was very talented, but knew to not try to imitate her father (at least after her very first few songs). Lee was instrumental in helping her develop her own distinctive style but no need to be down on Nancy. They collaborated wonderfully and her stuff apart from him after that is still great. I definitely think he was a big influence though.

      Nancy was soooo talented. They were a match made in heaven to be sure but she can sing. Just listen to her sing Dolly's Coming down from Dover.
