Ball J definitely missed the point of making Highlife the umbrella of Ghanaian music and the other genres falling under it. The point could be flawed conceptually but from an economic point of view, its definitely a great and excellent idea for marketing, distribution, and consumption purposes as it will significantly improve the visibility and consumption of only Ghanaian artists and music. Example I've subscribed to Spotify, a music distribution platform. Sometimes I feel like just listening to Ghanaian music to connect with my Ghanaian roots but when I go to Afrobeat section on the platform, I have observed that you see more visibility of Nigerian artists and music which is what they champion than Ghanaian artists and music. As such the visibility and consumption of Ghanaian artists and music gets overlooked and not played as expected. To compete, you have to be intentional and have a distinct main music category for Ghana as suggested as Highlife. Automatically, you know you have solid fanbase of Ghanaians in diaspora because alot of us sometimes want to listen to only Ghanaian music to support and connect with our roots. Additionally, its easier to navigate Ghanaian artists and music when you recommend that friends, family, coworkers, associates. Im sure there are several examples on other streaming platform as well. Also, I recognize that this is a job of record labels who are business minded and think global as well because the average person does not think beyond competition and economics. S/O from Seattle!

From a biblical perspective, a 'John' can be seen as someone who paves the way for someone greater, dedicating their efforts to laying the groundwork and directing attention towards the one who is to come. In this sense, being a 'John' means taking on a preparatory role, setting the stage for a larger purpose or a more prominent figure to emerge. IF Sark uses it in this context, he's not insulting anyone.
