I've just finished my third can of Guinness (not all at once) and I'm finding it hard to get onboard. At first, the creaminess of the foam was a good distraction for the lack of strong flavor, but I'm finding that lack of flavor and carbonation, not bad, but boring. Before this, I had just tried a six pack of McGuire's Draught Stout from Aldi. It may not have the nitrogen-induced creamy head, but I find the strong coffee and chocolate flavors much more enjoyable. I recommend you guys try it, if you haven't already.
Stouts typically are not very drinkable because of a few factors, strong roasted malts, carbonation and high abv. I think Guinness does a great job of making an appealing and easy drinking stout, but it's far from the most flavorful. Our highest rated stout on the show is Founders KBS, it's close to ,14% abv, and we gave it a perfect score of 10, that being said I really could only drink one of those, and if I were having a drinking session with the boys I could probably do Guinness all night.
@@kybrewreview Thanks for that. I've got five more cans for the Guinness to grow on me. ;-) My only experience with stouts are these two, so I'm just reporting my newb first impressions. Love Founders, will have to give KBS a try at some point.

@@noskpain2792 did you try it out of a tap?
@@shagatron9113 bottle
@@noskpain2792 yeah cans and bottles aren’t great, if you try it out of a tap it’s so much better
The bottle is no way near the same as the can (with widget). Ya'll should've had a can
Guinness Chips!!! What in the!!!????
We reviewed the chips a while back as well.
i try lots of different beers and i tire of them eventually but guinness i keep coming back to, i find it so refreshing after all the hoppy etc beers.
+nev123123123 we are the same way.
Cheers mate
I just found out that actually this only has 4.2 percent alcohol I'm definitely shocked
I think the bottled version has better carbonation.
I love Guinness one of if not my all time favorite. But i only buy it special occasions. Like birthdays, weddings, are rare night in town, honoring a loved one that passed. Yes i will drink for that if they was someone who ment a lot to me. But where i live at i only see 4pack never 6pack. And it is a little pricey just for 4. And when a 4pack cost almost the same as some 6packs im not going to buy it as much. Im going to grab the 6pack instead. Because im like hey im getting 2 extra drinks for free lol.
Honestly I belelive that the right reactions for beer should be after you really get drink with it's important...bcz for me beer have different real problem especially the next day and ...same brand give you a bad headache some of them give you that sleepy fell so that is not reaction the true reaction for me need 2 days minimum ..to really can know what that beer is really ..that is taste reaction it can be for jus to
Fyi we regularly drink Guinness Draught. A lot....
You can keep this watery, flat nitrogenated brew. I prefer Guinness Extra Stout which is carbonated and is a much better brew.
Not a fan of extra.
fantasy - > guinness is the drink of the gods
reality - > yeah it's not bad, 8 out of 10
You can play ping pong with that widget.
the guy on the right really likes his aluminium
Cans are superior vessels for beer in general.
The turtles cup is 🔥
I give it a 8.5 really good love guiness.
fkn horrid shit tastes like its brewed with cigarette butts,,,unless i got a bad batch?
If it's not poured right or if it's old it can taste like that.
Lads can’t believe ye tried Guinness first time from a can that’s like a cardinal sin here in Ireland lol
This wasn't our first time for Guinness, and getting anything other than bud light in draft form around us is difficult.
@@kybrewreview Wow nothing but Bud light 😳😳😳 I take it back even Guinness in a can is better 😂 Honestly do I don’t know if any of you have been in Ireland but Guinness on tap here at home honestly there really isn’t anything else like it! If ye ever come over let me know il give ye a list of bars were it’s good ✊
My local liquor store has the 8 pack of can for $10
I had some of that the other day. It leaves a terrible aftertaste that reminds me of Epsom salt.
That doesn't sound right. Did it get poured properly, and then let set for 5 to 10 min. Before drinking.
Guinness is quickly becoming my favorite beer. I've had it on tap and in a bottle. Going to have to try it in a can
Can is amazing it’s good on tap too
@@greentea2993 I've had it in a can. I prefer in a bottle. Cheers!
@@greentea2993 cans are far to watery, out of a tap it has more of a flavour and over all better
I LIKE these guys!
Awesome it's my first time trying it today hope it taste good
Extra stout best beer on the planet 🍺
I'm embarrassed for you three
It’s the best beer ever made
Nasty! I’d rather drink Colt 45 over that Guinness
nothing like a properly poured guinness from tap bro beats can 10/1 easily, cans dont have enough nitrogen its hard to explain but the balance is better on tap almost worth a trip to ireland just to taste it properly
in order of best taste bottle....can......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................tap
see the difference haha^^
