The human race is dumb. No matter how smart an individual may be. Why else would mankind try and focus on getting to other planets and try to "colonize" aka ravage them for their ressources. You could be the smartest person thats ever existed, but would the entire human race of which 90% are "dumb" understand what you are saying? If you were to tell them to save earth instead of colonising other planets most people would only hear "loss of monetary profit" "no monetary profit by saving the earth"
