The discount rate of free cash flow is another pearl of wisdom while taking 50 years to learn as reliable, given out in 15 seconds. Enjoyed hearing about the true cash costs as well. Makes perfect sense. As usual, great advice Rick. I listen to most of your videos. One that I am learning painfully is both big mines and small mines have big risk but only big mines make big money. But lesson learned, thank you.
Thank you so much Rick for this education series and for investing your time with us! Incredible that this is free, and hope this series continues for as long as possible. Will have my notepad out for all the episodes. One thing I would add that I think other commenters have also mentioned - we would absolutely LOVE for an episode where Rick Actually goes through the process of valuing a company - through the entire process of constructing an excel model and assigning a range of probabilistic outcomes, and arriving a value for a given company. I think going through a real example would be incredibly valuable, and really put to life the lessons Rick has been kindly teaching us over countless years.
The first video was excellent. Anybody who missed that one should go back and watch it. Everybody knows the old saying, "buy low and sell high"; however, only an educated individual can constantly achieve that. This is your free education.

What I find so great about Rick Rule is that when he explains something I almost always understand the concepts or I find myself intrigued enough to learn more about it afterwards...
Every classroom video I need to watch at least three times to get all the information :P of course being a non native speaker has a factor here but it’s just so much information to digest. Revisiting now before VRIC
This has been exciting, gentlemen. Well worth the wait. Some of the price to cash flow multiples have been to hot to the touch. Does coal interest you? I find it irresistibly attractive more so than uranium or gold. Would you be willing to discuss coal as an industry sector. I am interested in your thoughts. It seems it is as reviled as uranium. Hell the banks don't want them which gives me immense pleasure.
Hi, Rick: While I understand that you are an expert in what you taught us. I do have a question: as you said, if there is a recession/depression, the demand side fall which was what happened to the oil price recently...even for a short lived recession/depression, it doesn't guarantee that the supply side cliff can happen because of the technology in the renewable energy catching up. The efficiency of the new technology will disrupt the current economic model and can be deflationary which means that the supply cliff will never happen!
Is the US currently building any new fission plants? Also what about companies that enrich Uranium and/or convert it to Plutonium? Is that a good option presently and what specifically should I be looking for? Both growth & yield & royalties (Texas)?🦊
I’d love a worked example, it doesn’t have to be a real company but showing the working, so that we can take a company & do it ourselves. Also how to quickly screen out companies that aren’t worth putting the effort in because of a red flag, what are those flags.
Who needs to go to school when you have a brilliant man like Rick schooling you !! Thank you so very much I truly appreciate Rick Rule
