This might be the best thumbnail yet, I'm just here to see the Yeah Right reaction again but in all its RUclips glory 😂🔥🔥 keep up the great work Jon ❤️
Amazing album. Love the fact he got Sophie, Flume, Kendrick and Kucka all on one track. Also another vote for a reaction to some of Sophie and Flume’s material.
The Yeah Right beat is an early version of what eventually became SOPHIE's track Faceshopping from her album Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides. Cannot recommend that album highly enough
If you love songs like Love Can Be and Yeah Right you should really check out the producer Flume. He is very obviously a massive influence on the production on this album and even helped to produce Yeah Right. Flumes latest 2 albums are 2 of the best produced albums of all time imo.
some of these songs like samo and yeah right were produced by SOPHIE before she passed. you really need to check out product or oil of every persons un-insides by her seen as your reaction to yeah right’s production was amazing!
I love watching John react to music because he’s always so positive and tries to appreciate music. He doesn’t just trash things he doesn’t understand. It makes me happy.
Production wise he has said in interviews he was really inspired by bands like joy division and you can kinda hear that influence in the way the drum is separated from the voice in some tracks etc.
As someone who's into a ton of freaky electronic music I find this incredibly accessible, but the way hip hop production got homogenized with the same group of producers has made people think it's supposed to sound a certain way. Hip hop is all about being different and weird
I saw you liked the beat on Yeah Right a lot. It was produced by my favourite EDM producer Flume who also already has another song with Vince Staples. You should really listen to his His this is Flume mixtape its insane u will love it!
@Sean Conlon bro im very familliar with Flume's work and im telling you that the beat literally sounds like it come from Flumes mixtape, it sounds like Amber a bit also
If you liked the production, you really should react to Oil of Every Pearl's Uninsides by Sophie. She produced some of these tracks on this one (not 100% how much). She passed away recently unfortunately, but her music is incredible.
He actually reminds me a LOT of Tricky (not the voice, of course) - the flow and somewhat experimental production, etc... Damn it, now I need to go listen to some old Tricky albums
pls do Azealia Banks’ Broke with Expensive Taste. that album is also a great fusion of electronic, house and hiphop music, and her pen game is just insanely good. definitely one of the best and unique rap projects of the last decade.
This was recorded before Sophie sadly passed away. RIP SOPHIE x
You gott react to SOPHIE's only album. It's trippy stuff. Also on 'Yeah Right', what a producing tag team, SOPHIE and Flume creating pure gold.
