That’s great also I can add a tip of using his little helpers to damage him. Start the fuse and kite them to the front leave plenty of distance so he sails into it at the right moment. Takes practice but does a lot of damage.

Great Video, helps alot. Without one Point 😅 The captains head arent for La peste itself. They wanna tell you, that when you've got 4 wanted points, the pestilence will attake you with another ship. Its a snow with a green flare on top. It will drop as good loot as La peste but takes a bit more time to get to it. The boss wont be triggered due to that. Thanks alot for reeding and for the Video ❤
@@Born2GameI’d say for solo players this is the way to go. Might even be worth a video on it, since not many people seem to be doing this. Accumulate 10 heads, keep them in the warehouse until you’re ready to hunt and then when ready put into your inventory and sail around. The ship you’re looking for has a similar flare effect to boss ships or ships in danger however it’s bright green and the ship has poison cannons. It has a 25% chance at spawning after update with 10+ heads on you, and seems like a 50/50 chance of a mysterious chest or la peste locker (same as le peste world event) It’s no harder to take down than the regular elite (armored) green ships, but hits HARD unless you have the new season pass armor. Once you accumulate 10 heads you can farm it faster than le peste though.
The "La Potenc" (or however it's spelt) isn't a "must" have, does definitely help if you are new to the La Peste, but my friend solo'ed this the same day (earlier but his video had issues uploading so had to reupload) and again today with a glass cannon Sambuk build without the furniture piece. But great video dude, love the explanation.
Ubisoft really needs to make meeting up witt ppl more friendly,fix the broken chat,lemme see players at all times so i know if ppl are gona swarm le peste..not everybody runs with friends for these activities
That's weird, i dont remember ever fighting him outside of the world event, but i got one of his chests this way. I don't do enough dps to beat him fast enough when doing the world event, and that's with others' level 10 or higher adding to that damage. The timer has always run out before we get him to half health.
You need to be right on top of him if your ship to ship, you take zero damage from his toxic damage, when he moves you move, and repeat port,bow, starboard, wepons by strafing your aim and rotating your boat slightly left to right, if using bombard fire III be attentive as you won’t always be able to see when he moves
You can also get the locker chest by building up your hostility with the fleet of pestilence faction to level 4 and defeating the special enemy they send after you 👍
Very informative and entertaining, but you have to use the thing he unlocks, to beat him. or buy them with po8 and I don't have enough time when i play to farm po8. not anyone's fault. seems i'll have to do something. No one ever helps try to take him down

Tides of Terror event spawns every hour, it has nothing to do with the heads, the heads are from the other ships that you destroy, while carrying the head you get other ships spawn lvl10 to attack you, it's not actually the tides of terror event.

It’s not every hour because I did this solo run and he spawned again about 15 minutes later. What does the powerful foe part of the description mean if it’s not La Peste because a level 10 ship surely isn’t the “powerful foe”?

Remove the long 9s, add twin winch ballista. Massive crit damage and range. No reload time. I always have it on.

If you have heads on your ship you can get la pests chests on some of his goons. 😊
And if you manually spawn him at saint anne it will force people to help you lol.
I carry pieces of 8 and plague bringer head. This brings me lots of infamy and silver for the pieces of 8 💪

You get a ship that spawns in when you get the fleet of pestilence hostility to level 4 and that ship drops the chest too

The new faction is fun to take down, the rewards in the pass are really cool but it’s a bit too much of a grind to earn stuff in the pass
Apart from having fight with our toxic dude, how was the loot quality in chest ?
Awful, the chests are terrible for loot
You get a Le Peste Locker though, which you need 10 of for a Smuggler challenge. You gotta beat this guy 10 times to complete the challenge.
There is a chance he drop good loot as well but when he doesn't loot is sadly kinda low amount and bad for a boss 😢
