Don't forget Buddy McGirt loss a fighter to Subriel Mathias. He knows boxing and protect his fighters. A legend of a trainer for sure. I really love this guy
Beterbiev is, on top of being a smart tactician, just stupidly physically gifted. He barely needs to commit on his punches to generate enough power, so he's always balanced. He uses his arms and slight head movement very well for defense and is just crazy fuel efficient. Plus it looks like he has rocks under his skin. Just an absolute specimen perfect for combat. Hats off to Mundo. He went until it was stopped and had some good moments until then.
Not to take away from his victory because he's a great boxer and the eastern european amateur circuit clearly produces tactically sound boxers with great ring IQ, but he's also clearly juicing.
It's called peds, crazy thing is. Hes such a powerful gifted boxer. He doesn't need them. I don't believe his body naturally has huge testosterone levels. At 39. Tbh, they do it imo. Great fighter.
Callum looked good on some moments of the fight with the jab and combinations. But you could clearly see the difference of power, when beterbiev pressed on, his jab snapped callum's head back. Then after the knockdown he didn't rush, just dismantled him on the ropes and knocked him out
@@harrisonwekesa5406 I ain't an smith fan lmao. I meant those few moments where he was able to put combinations together and use the jab, before beterbiev pressed forward with his shotgun jab
Well if he cant even put up a few combos throughout 7 rounds then he has absolutely no business fighting for 3 world titles in the first place (which he really didnt; Smith truly has the priviledge of being born an Englishman). The way he punches with those short accurate punches on the inside is beautiful to watch. I dont see anyone beating this man any time soon in this weight class. He is an absolute tank.
Those short shots in close are a sight to see. It's amazing how he gets so much torque and power from so little leverage. Built like a brick.. Looking forward to undisputed ☝️🔥
@Vadeem3 Maybe, but that's what's great about this fight. This is as 50-50 as you can get. A wrecking ball like Beterviev, who has underrated skills, against a Master tactician with great boxing skills like Bivol. Withouth a doubt this is perhaps, the best fight that will happen in 2024.
Bivol beats Beterbiev 117-111. It will be a boring fight too. I see Bivol stinking the joint out to win. Bivol footwork will be key to help him outpoint him.
Loved this fight. What impressed me the most is the guy with this freakish power never forgot his jab. The jab he was throwing all night was like a power shot but he stayed disciplined. So many guys with the power always seem to go down the road where they think just their power will win a fight and forget the fundamentals. It was a class showing for Beterbiev.

Please, don't degrade Beterbiev to Khabib. Beterbiev is a master of his craft whereas Khabib is good Sambo artist not really a "mixed martial artist". Khabib even lost to Tibau, he was crying and celebrating like he won the belt.

Its such a shame the US market is only about money and that is why Artur only has 20 fights. Yes he's older but he really has no wear on his tyres. Cant wait to see more of this man!!
I thought he would end it in the 4th if he wanted to, but seems like he could tell he'd end up spending a lot of energy forcing it early, instead of letting Smith's defense unravel later and capitalizing on that I feel like he got too much power to not stop Bivol at this point 😅
Artur finished Bivol. People tend to lean towards the boxers more than the punchers, but people don’t understand that Artur is a boxer-puncher, super skilled with great turning and good footwork. He has to be KO to be beaten, only Callum Johnson has the power to drop him..
His technical skills are *highly* underrated. I honestly don’t see how Bivol can beat this man. He hasn’t been able to display a 2nd gear in years, and for Beterbiev, he will need a 2nd, 3rd, and even a 4th gear.
Such an easy fight for King Artur. Can’t believe people were even giving him a chance, never mind people saying smith would knock him out. Some respect for the legend🥊🥊💥
So you honestly believed that the former WBA Super Middleweight Champion of the world was going to get beaten this easily???? I favored Beterviev to win but I still gave Callum Smith a chance given his pedigree.
Smith was knocking everyone out at this new division he definitely had a chance but Beterbiev is just too good. This fight showed me that the Beterbiev and Bivol fight isn’t too late.
I thought callum was going to able to catch Beterbiev with that counter left hook but I was very wrong. Beterbiev has underrated defense. Very dangerous fighter. Elite fighter
Hit him with a hard uppercut definitely caught beterbievs attention. Even if smith landed a perfect shot beterbiev probably recovers and gets him later, same thing Johnson did to beterbiev.
i predicted before whenever Smith launched his straight punch but opened his side neck and side body where Arthur had forward side to launch his uppercut or swing than blowing with combo punch....

He throws so many punches but at the same time he is super efficient with them. Very few miss altogether and cumulatively they just add up to the same result which is in the end, nobody can live with that multitude of power and accuracy. A freak and a monster and I say that with the utmost respect. An outstanding natural fighter and so nice to see him be human about it. No brash bullshit, just straight up fair boxing and bloody good at it. He is a big version of Naoya Inoue. Both are my favourite fighters.
He's very different from Inoue lol Beterbiev has this sort of imposing constant strength, and he doesn't need to use his legs to deliver his power. His kos are not from explosive shots, just massive upper body strength in addition to great boxing

Told him to use his distance with the jab, but Smith didn’t do it.

I absolutely enjoy watching him easily block punches just by inching his high guard up slightly
It's called peds, crazy thing is. Hes such a powerful gifted boxer. He doesn't need them. I don't believe his body naturally has huge testosterone levels. At 39. Tbh, they do it imo. Great fighter.

I have no intention of down playing Smith's courage and determination, but Berterbiev has a quality of steel that his opponent can only dream of.
Callum looked good on some moments of the fight with the jab and combinations. But you could clearly see the difference of power, when beterbiev pressed on, his jab snapped callum's head back. Then after the knockdown he didn't rush, just dismantled him on the ropes and knocked him out

Well if he cant even put up a few combos throughout 7 rounds then he has absolutely no business fighting for 3 world titles in the first place (which he really didnt; Smith truly has the priviledge of being born an Englishman).
