5/10, too much water (legitimately though, there weren't enough water pokemon to make the massive surfing sections interesting. The land routes were amazing with pokemon variety, like 113, 111, Mt. Pyre, Meteor Falls, Shoal Cave, but then all the surfing routes were just filled with tentacruels and pelippers and its just boring af)
I find most arrangements of this song try to put it in 4/4 as opposed to its actual slow 3/4 or 6/8 time signature, but I'm glad they didn't. The nostalgia hits hard and the the offbeat bells work really well to describe a route that, to me at least, seems like the closest thing in Pokemon to a badland.
@@pigeonboy7696 I mean, that’s...not how time signatures work? Each time signature conveys a specific thing; 3/4 implies a measure of three beats versus 6/8 which implies two, but with a lilt towards the falling beat. 12/8 isn’t “6/8 but also 4/4”, it’s closer to 4/4 but with a lilt. I meant what I said.
@@pigeonboy7696 This version flat-out does not do that. It switches between 6/8, with two beats, to sections where the triangle emphasizes a 3/4 polyrhythm. I’d accept a lot of answers to the question of “what meter is this in”, but you picked one of the wrong ones. Try relistening to this, paying closer attention to where the strengths of the beats lie in the arrangement.
Sebastian Frosolone Presumably it’s common knowledge that these are from a videogame, but I think a studio recording of this would practically print money. I’d love to be able to hear this from professional sound equipment without background noise.
I find that the Pokemon franchise peaked with Gen 3 (Hoenn). When remakes of the old generations started being made, it just drew attention to the fact that it just hasn’t changed that much. Back then you also had to link up with a friend (remember the link cable for the Game Boy?); now it’s all online (so even having two versions of the game is pointless).
I've tried my best and re-orchestrated a clean version of this in Dreams on PlayStation. Its not perfect by any means, but its on my channel if you're looking for a cough-free alternative
IronInfidel47 so far i haven't seen any CD or digital album releases for symphonic evolutions. the closest thing to this that i know of is the "Pokemon Reorchestrated: Kanto Symphony" album sold in amazon. Cheers!
This is the best I can find, some dude recorded it in (kinda) good quality and edited away most of the background noise. If you scroll down on the page there are download links to the right. archive.org/details/PokemonSymphonicEvolutions/PSE2014-09-19nakamichicm1000.flac24d1t01.flac
Wow, I've been playing since the original R/S/E, and the ORAS version of this song is what made me fall in love with it. It's so much more dynamic and melodic, and just sounds like a more thoroughly composed piece of music than the original. I think this and the ORAS version blow the original out of the water.
Disliked, hate how electronic music is always discredited and how other instruments take credit for it. Hate when people who don't even know what a synthesizer is callously call electronic music cold and inhuman, Hate when a franchise builds its identity around electronic music then abandons it when it gains recognition,
Hoenn is an absolute masterpiece. From its pokemon, to its art, to its gameplay, to its design and landscape, and its music. i love you Hoenn.

Oh my god, what kind of divine gift is this concert??? I didn't know it existed!! And if they have included this song in it, it must be GOOD!
It'd be great if they would record these tracks in a studio and sell them .

Possibly biggest FOMO ever not being able to experience this concert in person. I probably wouldve cried my eyes out all the way through to be fair

Hey is there like a place where I can buy the recordings or something?
