I ran very similar build to yours. Realising that hydras popped nova was so cool, also too bad we can't hit lvl 30 in beta because you could combine frost nova enchantment with ice shard enchantment. Basically every time hydras pop novas, ice shards are gonna automatically pop onto the novad targets. Very nice synergy. Will most likely main this build when launch comes, it's cool.
Yeah the build diversity is super fun. I really love how insane the cascading effects get with legendaries. Also looking forward to the double enchantment slot too!
About that 2nd enchantment: I think that could work but you'd have to be standing in a close proximity of the novas triggered by your hydra. And that may get tricky cause Hydras shoot random mobs running around and the nova they trigger could get spawned just beyond your reach. During beta I've noticed that the range of auto cast Ice Shards is quite short (I was testing Ice Blades' LH proc to freeze on hit, which is extremely low btw). Besides, this build would be good for hordes of mobs but could strugle in a boss encounters (because of their resistance to CC).
2 cents from me: 1) consider adding Shared Misery aspect (utility) to your gear. Makes wonders - hydras hitting/burning mobs iced by nova, transfer the CC to other mobs creating ocean of ice on a screen; 2) you invested quite a lot in CC durration - try adding Aspect of Control, makes a huge difference in damage dealt to frozen enemies. Cheers.
Never picked up either of those aspects during the Beta period but those are definitely going to be slotted if I go sorc when the game comes out. The synergies in this feel fantastic honestly.
Hey, what're thoughts on d4 now? D2 is probably my favorite game. Definitely favorite rpg. I was thoroughly disappointed in d3. Worth the time or money? I probably have over 1000 hours in D2 to tell you how much I loved it.
All the great memories I have from D2 but my strongest memory was the first time I fought through nightmare. All the challenges learning the game, finding great teams, generous and helpful senior players, and... then just asshole after asshole as soon as I got to hell difficulty. Team killing, body camping. Wish I'd have found it in it's prime.

Which build do you advice for fast leveling purpose (before to switch to this one)?
Honestly I did this the entire time.
Placing Hydras and running past packs would just kill them.
Gave me EXP with relative safety throughout the run.
