Video game art books are fantastic coffeetable items too, you definitely have to know to look for them though because the print runs are really limited!
I received the Anime Architecture book as a gift for Christmas and i was completely bown away by it, such an in-depth dive into the original materials, and the mind of artist and movie directors is really a one of a kind opportunity, especially considering how few japanese productions tend to share this kind of information.
All of the art books for Miyazaki's films are fantastic. You get to see his doodles and concept art and the progression of that stuff toward the final product.
I just got the Art of NASA book a couple of weeks ago after watching that documentary on Chesley Bonestell you mentioned on Amazon. Both the documentary and the book are fantastic.
So glad you're still doing things like this Norm, I always look forward to hearing from you. That Anime Architecture book sounds amazing! Can't find it anywhere now that I'm looking for it lol.
I saw an indie comic company called Gosh comics selling it on their online store. I’m in the UK though, so idk if it will show up in your country’s search results or if they ship to wherever you live.
Honestly, Truthfully, Respectfully... I truly hope Adam would maybe make the Blundergat, The Sweeper, Acidgat, Vitrolic Withering, Magmagat, or Magmus Operandi for a build video. The amount of detail he would put in, would make it look straight from Bo2/Bo4. Absolutely beautiful. Maybe this will just stay a hope and dream, I doubt Adam maybe even knows about Bo2/Bo4's existence. Which makes sense, I am sure he has more stuff to do, more important things going on.
@@kwanarchive I've already bought 20 second editions this year, Abrahms and a dozen stores have had it listed for months, so "no, your comment is not valid".
Having visited the Anime Architecture exhibition in Berlin, it’s a book I have been awaiting for a few years and was so cool to receive it upon release. Sorry to hear people are unable to obtain it but I suppose it is sort of a boutique publication?
Nice books, if I had space I would get two or 3 of them. Astronauts: Like SF drawings, but I do not really need the astronaut in it. Art of NASA: NASA is interesting, especially seeing their ideas. Star Wars: I liked the first couple of Star Wars film, but for me there is too many parts of it now. Anime: I like anime and also the movies covered, but the movie version of "Ghost in the shell" did not score as high as the original.
If you look up the publisher, you might find alternative sources that have stock. From what I can tell though, it's currently slated for reprint, so you can either wait, or track down one of those alternative sources for yourself. I was able to order one, but I can't say if they'll still have stock by the time you look.
Just prior to Christmas I got my copy of The Worm by Standards Manual. Another great coffee table book for any NASA nerds. standardsmanual.com/products/the-worm
You did not provide exact dimensions of each book and the binder thickness and glue compositions. No idea what you're talking about, 0/10 can never watch Tested again.

Love your recommendations for coffee table books, would love to see more of these throughout the year as they are often hard to find.

Hi Norm! Thanks for keeping me company over last year
I just got the Art of NASA book a couple of weeks ago after watching that documentary on Chesley Bonestell you mentioned on Amazon. Both the documentary and the book are fantastic.
That Listfield book is GORGEOUS. But the price is enough to make me weep!

Love these coffee table book recommendation, more please!

In 2015 I wanna say I watched all the videos of you building the death star and star destroyer, and now I found your channel again so I subbed lol

Facinating selection Norm. Do another on 50's sci fi art. ✌
The Art Of The Mandalorian has been sold out since....October?
It's really odd how long it has taken for a second edition to be printed and shipped?
Hmm....all books in the links are sold out......
It's odd that production of things slowed down during a pandemic year?

@AdamSavage'sTested I appreciate the matte background with the glossy everything-else on the cover of the NASA book!
Definitely gonna go in my wish list right now.
Great books! Would love a library tour!
What a great idea!

The art of Death Stranding is pretty solid
I agree 100%. My only wish is that the game played as well as I loved the art.
Anime Architecture unavailable :(

These books say more about Norm, than Norm says about these books. ;)
So the Astronaut is pop art? Like Andy Warhol? 🤔
