“I love him” said with no emotion- “I can’t stand you”, “I’m unhappy”, “I don’t want to be with him”, “I despise your presence”, “everything you say/do irritates”, all said with plenty of emotion but no real reasoning. He’s a fool for not ending it, she’s manipulative not to do it herself.

@@Np37470 he just doesn't know how to read the room or talk to Maeva seriously. he dismisses and minimizes her feelings, and doesn't take her at face value until she's crying/yelling. imo she's tried to talk to him privately and is at her wits end. when a woman gets that angry and upset, it's usually after a long line of being IGNORED by someone that doesn't want to do better as a partner.
Maeva might be beautiful but her personality makes her so unattractive. I can't even imagine being in a relationship with someone that dramatic. It's borderline emotional abuse. It seems sooo draining and it's going to mess James up for a long time if he ever moves on to another relationship. I'm sure the nice moments are really great but it seems like they're both caught up in that "Instagram life" and just being with each other because of money and looks. Who knows, maybe they're deeply in love, but just watching their relationship gives me anxiety.

She trained him to not take her seriously because she loves drama. She trapped herself in this vicious cycle. Sometimes when we cry wolf too many times, when there is actually a problem no one believes it. He's not a bad dude, he just doesn't play the dramatic passionate fights game. She seems to believe love is an epic drama where as he seems to want a chill existence. They speak different love languages.

This show was fun when the cast was in their late teens/early 20s, now its just sad seeing people nearing 30 acting in such dysfunctional ways. They all need therapy because they don't know how to be in healthy relationships.

Miles is hot but he just wants to jump from one girl to another but he stomps each of their hearts. Miles screwed up maeva big time. Miles just wants everyone to have his sloppy seconds. And miles hurt Maeva so much that it is irreparable.

I think due to Maeva's dramatic flair, James finds it hard to know when she's being serious or just dramatic, so I see where her frustration is coming from as she's trying to explain how unhappy she is but she's not being taken seriously and we don't know how dismissive James might've been about the subject behind cameras. Us dramatic girls unfortunately end up in a 'cry wolf' scenario when everything's the end of the world but then when we're actually genuinely torn up no one cares to listen anymore, so the lesson is probably for Maeva to pick her battles and it's important for James not to be dismissive too fast. He does treat Maeva like a kicking and screaming 5 yr old at times (which is understandable in some regard) but it can be really patronising to someone who's genuinely in pain.

I'm so here for this take! I feel like there's this weird thing where James thinks Maeva is cute and French and that plays into why he doesn't take her seriously. His facial expressions when she was saying that she wasn't happy really speak to that, I think. The whole 'dramatic' bit with her specifically is totally tied to her Frenchness (not to reduce their whole relationship drama to a culture clash, but I do think it really is at play here). The French enjoy passionate conversations where their partners are *intentional* about loving them and caring for them. It's so romanticised, I know, but it really is how they can think. I think mostly about how whenever she's speaking, oftentimes people laugh at how she says things versus what she's saying and for having been on the show for so long, if you're not able to understand how she doesn't feel wanted, it might be because you're focused on her accent. She's definitely a dash of dramatic but that might be like her family dynamics growing up on top of the Frenchness lmao James is so patronising to her I really hate it, man ://

OK, I know this is 'reality' TV, but Maeva is utterly obnoxious. No matter what problems she claims she is having, there is no justification for this rudeness and abusive language. She does not help her case in the slightest. Yes, couples can get angry with each other and say some hurtful things, but with Maeva, it's a non-stop barrage of shrieky, rude statements, while expecting James to humble himself before her. I guess this works for ratings, but nobody should watch this and copy the same behaviour. Just saying.

@@marielanglade5344 those who are not empaths will not understand her. Maevas communication style is not ideal but I wouldnt call it abusive. Clearly theres something shes been trying to tell him and hes not at the level she would want him to be. Look at other episodes. It must be annoying to keep repeating yourself, having needs and having your partner not really attending them but smirking instead, yet still wanting to be with you. Sounds like either you have been lucky and always had compatible partners or youve never been in a relationship all together. We can argue forever, some of us relate to her problems.

As I said, all couples have engaged in destructive arguments, but Maeva's behaviour is beyond the pale. She is supposed to be an adult. Calling her boyfriend an 'f***ing a***hole' in front of a stranger and her friend completely degrades her credibility, problems or no problems. And no, I am not 'jealous' of Maeva's looks. I am not even convinced all of this is real, but there is no way I can empathise with such rudeness and arrogance.

I think Maeve’s problem is that Janes doesn’t act grateful enough to have her for her. He’s stopped the romancing and the effort to keep her. Maeve is not in love with him anymore. It was only ever to stay close to Miles anyway.

I can’t see why anyone who isn’t a masochist would want to get involved with someone like Maeva. Living in a knife edge the whole time, never knowing her mood from one moment to the next, constantly expecting her to spontaneously freak out at any moment, wreaking havoc in your social circle. Jim Belisha once said that a girls hotness is directly proportionate to the degree of crazy a guy should tolerate. A really hot girl can be “acceptably crazy.” Maeva is in the wrong place on that chart.

I can see where she’s coming from. It appears “dramatic” from her end but that’s the result when you bite your tongue for so long to keep the peace. He seems quite manipulative tbh.
