Having been a guitar player for 20 plus years and never picked up a base. I purchased one of these shortly before you actually published this video. I absolutely love it! It has opened up a whole new windows of opportunity for me and made me a better guitar player!

That's great... I hope you find my past videos entertaining also. Thanks

I got the buzz issue, too. Will put on heavier strings eventually. Also the pickups have actually low output, but lots of bass and midrange punch. All in all, it‘s a fun bass to play, I love how lightweight it is and how good the neck feels. My go-to bass right now in my rock band.

Had this bass for a while and I liked it until I got a second bass which is a Schecter.
Overall the JS2 is a good instrument, quality was OK - haven't spotted any flaws, though the matt finish and plain design made it feel... raw? It's a simple shaped bass that doesn't attract too many looks, but that maybe a good thing for some folks.
It needed a basic setup out of the box, mine was buzzy too. Sound wasn't bad, but considering it's fully passive, the tone lacked some punchiness, the output isn't that hot as on active EQ basses, but that's to be expected - you can always add a preamp.
And I would keep it and was planning on adding an active EQ, but what I very disliked about this bass was its shape and size. The body is cut very flat and sharp, there was almost no rounding made to it so it digs into your body when playing. The neck is wide at the nut (42mm) and very thick. I much prefer bases with 38mm nut and with thinner necks.
JS2 would be a good choice for a cheap but well made (again, it was without any flaws in finish) practice/backup bass, but the shape threw me off each time I picked it up after playing on a much sleeker Schecter Stiletto Stealth.

I play various bases all the time and I still like it... The feel for me is just right... I have big hands so that maybe a positive.

Thank you very much for the video! I am thinking about getting a JS3 or a Yamaha TRBX504 TBL 4-String Premium Electric Bass. I know Yamaha is a solid brand and I want to purchase something that will rock with good quality for years to come. I would appreciate a suggestion on this! Thx!

Hello, I'm looking at possibly getting one of these. Sounds buzzy in the video. Is it because of how low the action is or is it the frets? I have a js3 Kelly Bird that has buzzy frets. Not terrible. Great video btw.

It buzzes as its straight out of the box, it needs a set up.. Also it came with standard guage string but I put on medium lights because they are my fave.
I have a JS32 Kelly guitar as used in some other videos... That needs a set up too.

@@paulsguitarcave yeah. It was mainly just wondering on how these are out of the box. I’ve been playing for around two years and these Jackson’s really do the trick. At least with this one I can go in and play it. And if it needs adjustment I have the stuff to do it.
