    I've seen nothing on the internet about the young Ash Trees and if they can survive and Ash Bore attack? What I mean is when do they become susceptible? I've heard the Ash Bore larva live just under the bark attacking the outer part of the tree? I'm not a well educated man when it comes to different parts of a tree but I've spent time in the woods and know only as a tree matures does it grow bark. Can the Ash Trees be chemically modified/cross bread with something that might deter the beetles from laying their eggs on the tree? Without the Ash Tree what is the next tree these invasive species will destroy? It sickens me to walk through our woods here in Southwest Ohio and see the rot and dying trees. In the last 3 years I have heard 2 trees fall while deer hunting from a tree stand. So many trees lying on the ground that I tripped 9 times last hunting season fracturing my Fibula at one point. It has gotten to the point of not being able to walk 20 feet without having to climb over a fallen tree and the trees that have become widow makers is in itself a danger. Being 50 feet from a falling tree is not safe. Being in the woods with a slight breeze is not safe.
    Thank You Ted for sharing this build with our children. God Bless ALL of you!

      Hey thanks for watching. I think there is a way they can kill the ash Bores but its basically impossible to do it on a large scale. As the winters keep getting warmer they are spreading further and further north and living longer. I have seen parks staff make efforts to cut trees before infestations happen in an attempt to keep them from spreading but it seems to have been for not so far. Hopefully they don't spread to other trees it seems they dont but I'm not sure. I hope it all balances out down the road but I really hope they dont extinct the Ash trees first.

      Hola, gracias por tu aporte. Los árboles que utilizamos en realidad están muriendo porque si es una infestación del jabalí ceniza emrald, entonces queremos usarlos antes de que mueran. También morirían si quitas la corteza / caparazón si los cortas o no. También planeamos usar la madera en el futuro a partir de los árboles cortados para la construcción y la leña, de modo que todo vaya a usarse. Gracias por tu comentario y preocupaciones. Aprecio que lo hayas visto. Espero verte la próxima vez. Cuídate

    is that how easy to cut trees in ur country? cut just like that because u need them? if that's how easy, u people are very lucky.

    • @TheRealTedBaird
      @TheRealTedBaird 5 лет назад

      Hi Edwin. It depends on where you are. But yes there are absolutely endless enormous stretches of true wilderness bigger then most countries i feel we are very fortunate. These Ash trees we cut were actually dieing to the emerald Ash bore beetle that is killing them all unfortunately so it makes sense to use them while we can while at the same time helping stop the spread of the beetle. I will have another video on this project up tomorrow if your interested. Thanks a lot for watching and your comment. Have a good one

      Hey Laura good question. I prefer not wearing gloves if I van get away with it because it's much easier to work with your hands. Sometimes of course gloves are a must

The Turkey we roasted in the 1st stage was not wild turkey. And this time it was lamb and beef. Thanks for watching. I'll have another video on the 1st stage of this up on this Friday

    Longhouse isn't all native Americans, to my knowledge it's a haudenosaunee (iroquois) thing we Annishnaabe lived in wigwams

    • @TheRealTedBaird
      @TheRealTedBaird 5 лет назад

      I believe you are correct its Definitely an Irouquois style longhouse and not all Native Americans I believe the plank houses of the west coast were similar in design but different still. I believe we built this likely a little further north than it traditionally would have been. Of course it would often have been much bigger. I would love to learn how to build a Wigwam also. Its the best way to learn. I'm now wanting to expand my knowledge of not only how to build but of what why where and who and the different variations. I presume the wigwam was better suited for different regions but not sure

    • @kingplur1982

      Эй, у деревьев, которые мы использовали, есть заражение жуком, называемым Изумрудный золоулавливатель, они убивают все деревья ясеня здесь.
