Gene Patterson was like a nomad this season... went from driving Bigfoot in 1993 to working for Magnum Force to start 1994 in Lima and now with Samson in Bloomsburg. Kudos to Samson... it ran strong this event.
I don't want to be negative, when the announcer says Gary Porter driver in Carolina Crusher up against Overkill (On 08:50. When they said, "Gary Porter is still driving the engine up front of the vehicle." But, it's not true, a few seconds later if you look really close. The engine is actually at the rear of the vehicle.
the truck was called American Gladiator at the beginning of the 1994 season, Dan changed the name to Samson, but not the registered name that accumulates points during each event or that the announcers read.
with the Penda Points Series, the points went to the name of the truck, not the team or driver. Penda also doesn't allow changing truck mid season, so the reporters kept calling it American Gladiator so it would still get points
