Congrats brother! This is where stuff gets really fun ^_^ I nearly shit myself with nervousness the first time I taught a class... Good thing I didn't, come to think of it... Hard to spin that... "If you can dodge a poo, you can dodge a pommel!'
Looks like a great space. Also interesting that you have a climbing rope and a vaulting horse. If you look at woodcuts of 18th and 19th century fencing schools, those two things are pretty much ubiquitous.
Not so much a coincidence as a function of how they trained before freeweights were invented. But rope climbing and horse mounting are both martially useful activities so you should incorporate them into your school.
That's the dream, but pro rope climbing is too tough to get into. So much bitchiness, everyone's out to CUT YOU DOWN. Get it, because cut you down can mean two things. That joke was terrible, please don't unsubscribe. XD
I was drawn to the longsword because of the way it looks, and preferred to watch German longsword fighters over Italian longsword fighters. I guess mostly it came down to what I thought looked coolest, and what I'd most like to be able to do myself.
KnightSquire Wow thanks man for the fast reply. I understand what you mean by that. It is really something to see someone use a sword properly and think I want to learn to do that. There really is something to sword play that catches a person and makes them want to learn it, to find out more. I recently have been thinking about getting back into it (that's how I found your channel). Have to say I wish you the best in your training and thank you for making me feel a lot better about wanting to get back into it. Love the video's.
Not really, if you mean LOTR. While its not the worst when it comes to realistic swordfighting, the actors tend to telegraph from miles away, and treat armor like its made of paper, so at no point do they try to get around it with proper technique. But, then again, its fantasy, and we all enjoy it for what it is :)
New video tommorow or Wednesday guys, starring a certain wanabee Ninja...
Raiden?
How many points did you put into agility? I only have 23, should I add more?
the bit at the end with the face gaurds was sick

This really makes me miss my HEMA club haven't been there in months since I have no money, no car, and I'm busy with college 😔

Those rope jumping skills tho.
Eventually Joel gave up on HEMA, he instead became a professional rope climber...That was his story.
That's the dream, but pro rope climbing is too tough to get into. So much bitchiness, everyone's out to CUT YOU DOWN.

Nice stuff.
No one is wearing Knightsquire Jorts? Very disappointing!
They're on under our training gear... It's not safe to practice with the legs on show, too distracting.
why use the floppy synthetics?
Hey man are u from London?
Just curious Knightsquire, why did you pick the German Longsword? I mean what was it that made you want to learn that particular style of sword?

I am famous!!
is sword fighting in LOTF legit?

Sure you did. *wink*
David Sherwood ;)
Why am i automatically unsubbed from you everytime i come back to this channel.
I have no idea, RUclips hates me maybe? That is weird, and not ideal for channel growth if it's happening to a lot of people.
KnightSquire that could problably just be my problem don't worry about your channel too much. :D
Still pretty weird though. I'll try not to. XD
lol u sukk m8.
