Got a better idea, What if the item didn't reduce healing, but got an active who stop any healing in a zone or a character for a short time ? It would ask people to play around it & ennemy trie to bait it or avoid it.
The problem is if you make grevious wounds too strong it nullifies whole champion kits, and if it's too weak, well it's like a wasted item slot almost. It's hard to balance with champions like Aatrox, Vladimir, Warwick, etc. It'd probably be better if it was 60-70% healing reduced on an active item, maybe that's the solution

He scales with hp for months now and we still built lethality since like the first guy said, the healing is dependent on the dmg you deal. But it will probably change now with the new durability patch

It's something between tank and bruiser, he has decent dmg (less than Fiora, Riven, Camille, Gwen) but he drain tank for much longer time (not like Mundo, Ornn etc.). He is in same spot like Mordekaiser, Darius, Garen, Illaoi. In order to live you have to deal some damage and hit your abilities. Fair.

50% sounds reasonable but there’s an argument that why can a 800gold item just delete half of my kit. The best thing they cpuld prolly do for anti heal items is to ad more gimmick thingsto its full item portion. Something like for morello should have like after 8secs of fighting burn target max hp. Chainsword should have like something else too. Cuz mortal is already a good anti heal item thornmail too.

Honestly this is what I always pictured Aatrox being. A high sustaining champ that does a lot of damage over time because of his insane sustain. I quite honestly have HATED lethality Aatrox because you pop so damn quickly

I think it should be somewhat applied to league wherein if you heal too much in a short period of time, you accumulate healing resistance then it ramps down as you don't do healing. This at least gives both parties an opportunity to pop off and an opportunity to kill champs who heal a lot. e.g Aatrox can burst heal through his passive and Sundered Sky and make outplays but it's effectiveness lowers as he does it repetitively within a short period of time which then gives the chance for the enemy to take this chance to kill him. Idk, just a random shower thought

The thing with damage reduction items is that most healing champs heal off of damage. In this case, mortal reminder IS doing its job, but since Aatrox just deals a lot of damage, he still heals a lot. So, against drain tanks, you have to buy both anti-heal and resistances. That's why thorn mail against ad healers is so good because you reduce both the healing and the damage they deal to you, further reducing their healing. For example, death dance is also good because the damage over time doesn't count towards healing.

Pro tip: Buy deaths dance if you actually want to cut Aatrox heal. The 30% over time damage it deals does not count as Aatrox's damage so he misses out on 30% of the healing of any attack that hits you.

Healing should be reworked. The more you heal (let's say in a span of 10 seconds) the less next heal will heal you. Every 500 HP self healed has diminishing return up to only 10% effectiveness once 5k has been healed in the last 10 seconds. 5 seconds w/o healing (ignoring passive regeneration) resets it.
u have to be ahead for it to actually matter, but to buy a full item for some other player whos behind when ur ahead is not rlly that nice, they should do the thing that azzap suggested, where instead of 40% being constantly applied the items should have better stat and an anti heal passive that applies like maybe up to 80% anti heal for 2-4 seconds. that way the items would actually be valuable outside of the anti heal without making the anti heal obnoxiously unfair. beyond that it'd add some skill expression as well when do i use the active on ww? at the start to get him low enough for someone else to burst him? at 50% hp to prevent him from going back up? during his ult? etc. itd be different every game and for every different healing champ. you could always apply it to aatrox but only when his passive or q3 are about to come/ when hes about to heal from hitting a lot of people

That's because they are designed to be able to heal through the massive amounts of damage that exist in the modern game. If your damage is not close to the highest amount, 40% heal reduction wont solve that weakness. Riot can't really buff anti-heal or it makes healing champs useless and forces the items people buy. Imo the real issue is the design of a champ trying to heal through 10000 damage. That just isn't a good idea tbh. These champs should have less healing and more other strengths.

On Wild Rift anti heal is 40-50% for all items. But ignite applies 60% anti heal. PC definitely needs this.
