Geo engineered storm
A true derecho is a sideways tornado. It looks like if you roll out a roll of paper towels
@@tonyzone8999 Zero explanation.
The big clouds swallows the entire town.
So, this is what hell looks like. 😢
This storm had 5 tornados hit from with in it. Castlewood got the worst with an F2, brookings near the airport had a F0 and F1 report
WHERE DID THE SUN GO💀
Look out, incoming!!
i have been in one and a mobile home flipped on its side infront of my house while i was looking at it luckuly nobody was in the house at the time (it was not tied to the ground had no barriers just bricks so thats how it flipped over)
Like a flat tornado, and scary as hell.
I'm not from The States or Canada, but just curious to know if Derechos CAN form Tornados?
@@planetx1595yes they can but its hard to tell if there was a tornado because the storm itself already has hurricane like winds
They are sometimes called "spin up" or QLCS tornadoes. They are generally weak, short lasting and almost indecipherable from the rest of the storm as the non-tornadic winds in a derecho are usually almost as bad. That's why the authorities often blow the sirens for derechos just like they would for tornadoes.
@@scarpfish So are there two different warning sirens for both a Derechos and a Tornado? If not, won't that freak the public out if the siren sounded for just a Derecho and not a Tornado?
@@planetx1595 i slightly believe you underestimate a derecho... id say its fair warning for the sirens considering how bad derechos can be depending on the strength of the storm. id honestly rather a small f1 tornado then a full scale derecho any day of the week.
I remember that time when i was outside and i was struck by lighting and survived it was a miracle 😢
THERE AINT NOW WAY THAT IT GETS THIS DARK. It literally looks like it was 2PM Outside before the Derecho. If this is actually day time and not just nighttime IM FREAKING OUT.
It actually happens over here in independence no we had a severe windstorm it went from daylight to darkness nighttime in seconds there was tree branches over where some trees down and a metal school bus stop sign bent all the way down it was 70 mph wind gusts
Yeah your right it never gets that dark during bad storms
@@johnlogo94BS lmao
@@jaxontheboss2319 not bs some severe storms do that we had a shelf cloud and it went from day to night it brought really bad damaging winds to the point where tree branches were scattered and some trees were down
@@jaxontheboss2319he’s telling the truth. I was in the derecho and walls and roofs were torn off of houses. Trees down, stop signs and stop lights bent, mud flying everywhere.
We had one of these. We swear there was a Tornado that was in it too. It does go dark, very dark. Though ours still had some light, and there was a very green hue (which is why we thought there was definitely a Tornado around us.)
No it just means it's gonna hail
😨😰😱 danm! That’s some serious darkness there!
I was there it was the most biggest storm brookings had in 7 years
