Another first class video and I’m interested to see how Dan gets on with the PXG out on the course and hopefully Dan will go for a fitting for a new driver 🙏🙏, well done again Sam
Got rid of the G430, hated the turbulators, looked like a mess from the top. Last ping before was a G400 was amazing. Should had kept it. Got fully fitted for the black ops. Great experience at PXG. Look forward to real play on course.
I think any major manufacturer driver will perform well these days. Find one you like the look of and instills confidence in you. Test them out, get the right shaft. ⛳️
To be honest I would definitely get a full fitting for the black ops aslong as you like the feel, sound and looks out on the course etcc because I think you will gain even more ball speed with a fit. As a plus the 430 will still get you quite abit of money back on the 2nd hand market just stick the standard shaft back in and sell the hulk separately if your fitted into something else. So to change its not like your having to pay the whole amount.
Hi Gary love the channel great help and some fantastic info. I was just wondering if you could help me please. I’m looking at the pxg full bag black ops got a fitting in Harrogate next week but I’m also wondering if to go with the ping i530s and max woods hybrid and 10k driver with sm10 wedges can’t decide. Help please lol. Do you know how the head size compares with the i530 to the 0311 p. Thank you.
I was hoping this would prove that it’s not worth changing. Let’s see how he hits it on the course. I’m not sure if he’ll be able to justify it or not tbh.
Interested to know why there was an emphasis on "keeping things fair"? Surely the only objective of a fitting is to find the best results no matter how they are achieved?
It wasn’t a fitting buddy. Sam’s fits take two to three hours, so it was just a test of the head to see if there’s any signs to justify a full fit / driver change.
Surely for a mid handicap it's more about keeping it on the planet ...he had better deviation on his own driver in all areas..... I personally wouldn't think it was worth £100 pound for every extra yard gained for a new driver....
His missus would agree with you, he might not lol 😂 I think it’s dangerous comparing your driver every year, I’d say maybe every 5 years. It was just purely an experiment to put his mind to rest, but we’ll see, see if he pursues it any further.
@@garymartingolf I think wanting the new best thing is something we all suffer from....but it's not always best for our game or bank account I really enjoy the fitting content...
G430 is designed to be forgiving, a fairway finder. It is not designed to be longer or faster. For most average players the Ping is a great option, you lose a bit of distance but your second shot is rarely chipping out from the trees. I however just hate the look

They’re on the 2025 new model 🤯

What about comparing to the new Eleven Driver? From what I’ve seen they have a really fast face, adjustable hosel and performs well for £250

PXG every time for me. The fitting process with PXG is second to none. The PXG BlackOps sounds better also
Great video great watch
Cheers Nick
Well done gaz 😊
Always a stressful time looking at new drivers, especially with their high cost, I hope with a full fitting Dan can find what he is looking for.

@@garymartingolfwhat did he end up with in the end?

@@garymartingolfI’ve had the same driver for 5 years. Been thinking bout making the switch to Blackops .

can someone get this place a new hitting screen ahahah
Lol 😂
Less forgiving driver means hitting more into the trees and water
Nope.
