Took my husband and I about 2 hours to put together. We are 70+ years old and we feel pretty proud of ourselves! Great instructional video! Thank you. We are very excited to start our adventures!
We're glad to hear that and can't wait to hear about your first ride! Please don't hesitate to reach out to our team if any issues arise, you can reach them via email at radpowerbikes.com/support.
Thank you for the very helpful video. I followed it to assemble my wife's RadCity 3 Step-Thru and all went great. There is just one thing I'd add. While we were on our second ride, my wife's panel suddenly showed an error 30, and the bike acted like the battery was depleted. Using my mobile phone to look up what that meant, I came upon another Rad video for troubleshooting that code. We traced the problem to the connector on the wiring that runs to the panel. On her bike, from the factory, the silver pieces were not screwed together and the connector started rattling apart. Upon fixing that, all was fine. I then looked at my Rad City 4 that we bought at the same time (and I assembled after watching another great Rad video), and the metal parts were partially screwed together, but very loose, so I tightened those, too. If that connector isn't going to come screwed together securely from the factory, people should check that during assembly.
Thanks for the suggestion. Our team is always innovating, so we appreciate the feedback from our customers. We're glad to have you as part of the Rad community, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team if any other issues arise. You can reach them via email at radpowerbikes.com/support.
Video was terrific, clear and easy to follow. I also put it all together with a little holding and lifting help in about 45 minutes because I was very slowly following the directions. I am so ecstatic!!
This video was REALLY helpful! Especially on the handlebars bit, since the written instructions didn't say anything about twisting them around. An essential step, as it turns out 😉 Every other part went smoothly.
If you do not have a torque wrench the values the torque values can give you a good basis for comparison. For example, hardware torqued to 40 Nm should be tighter compared to items listed at 6 Nm. The toolkit that comes with the bike will include all of the allen wrench sizes you need to complete the assembly.
Received the bike today and had it together in no time at all. It came through with some minor paint scratches on the front of the down frame. Can I get some touch up paint? It’s a gift for my daughte4 and I’d like it to be 100%…
Hey Ron! Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear that it arrived with some paint scratches. This is a good question for our Product Support team. You can reach them via email at - radpowerbikes.com/support.

I recently bought a rad city st 3. I really wish I had known they were coming out with the 5. The torque sucks on the 3 and I heard it's better on the 5. I would have waited to get the new style.

Where can you get the tork wrench, or does it come with it, everything else look and sounds simple. I would like to say you lost me at open the box, it sounds so simple a child could put it together, someone get me a child. Ha ha ha.
Hey Crawford, we do not include a torque wrench, but they can easily be found online or at your local hardware store or bike shop. If you have any questions when assembling your bike, you can reference our channel here or connect with our customer experience team at 1-800-939-0310 or support@radpowerbikes.com.
Hey Patrick! Tire pressure should be within 30-80 PSI (2.1-5.5 Bar) on the RadCity Step-Thru 3. Please adjust it based on your terrain, weight and riding conditions.
A bit irritated. Could not get the first step done, sat in hot sun trying to figure out why I couldn’t get the handle bar holder to move after loosening bolt. Finally went inside and called, told very nicely to hit the piece with a mallet.... it worked but I wasted so much time trying to figure it out when this apparently a common issue. However, customer service rep was fantastic!

Hey Patti, nice work! We hope your RadCity Step-Thru takes you on many rad adventures.
Watched the video a few times while waiting for my bike, making assembly very easy. Love the RadCity 3, an Easy Rider!

Would've been nice to include a tiny tube of grease... off to the store i guess...
Thanks so much for the feedback! We'll pass this along to our teams.

Thanks for your feedback! So glad to hear that the video was helpful. Thanks for being a part of the Rad crew! 😎
Super clear and easy to follow. Took me roughly 30 min from box opening to finish. Thanks for the clear instructions

Glad to hear the video helped! Happy riding 🚴♂️
Is there anything I can use as an alternative to the torque wrench?

To difficult for me
Should have removed battery FIRST!!! Its heavy plus it could have been charging while I assemble 😪
This is great feedback, Kristie! Thanks for sharing. 😊
what kind of grease did you use for the bike pedals? Seems like I should be able to use something I already have at home.

Parktool grease. Great stuff, highly recommend all of Parktool's equipment and grease for assembling bikes.

How do I know when the pedals are at 35Nm with the pedal wrench?
Hey Matt! This is a great question for our Product Support team. Feel free to reach out at - radpowerbikes.com/support.
I have my bike a week and now have an error 25 and I can’t figure out what is wrong. We are in the middle of no where rv park and so sad at the moment
How do I take of the battery?

Was doing OK on assembly until we got to attach front wheel. After 45 minutes gave up and now will have to figure who can do this locally. Awesome.

I just finished mine I wish I would have taken the battery off first because when I lifted it, was Heavy to put that front wheel on
needed a 2nd person to put the wheel on.
