Hi mate, Had a customer in today, no reverse lights either side and could see the bulbs were good. Checked the fuse it looked good too so I tried this quick check New reverse light switch needed. Cheers for the nice and simple vid mate 👍
I've been looking everywhere for a vid like this! My reverse light on my fiesta only works once a month if I'm lucky! And had no idea of where the switch was! So thank you very much 😁
Yeah my ford fiesta Mk6 reverse lights have just stopped working, my girlfriend told me yesterday to my great delight, I think it may of worked this morning though but it's intermittent so maybe I need a new switch? I'll ring garage up Monday didn't think it was a new bulb as both didn't work guess could be fuse but I don't know why that would blow so the switch seems the likely culprit.
@@thew4rrior5code it’s definitely your switch , mine did the exact same! I bought my replacement online! It’s a cheap fix! And you can fix it yourself very easily! No need for a mechanic
@@danielthompson2708 Yeah everything is a quick fix if you know what you're doing lol I don't fancy going under the car tbh but yeah I've seen a few videos on it looks fairly straightforward I guess.
@@thew4rrior5code yeah you just put the front of the car on a ramp to get under it, screw the old one off and put screen the new one back in! You just need the right size of spanner! 😁 and I’m no mechanic haha , it’s like replacing a light bulb

Thankyou iofix, iv just ordered a reverse switch today as my reverse lights dont work and my rear wiper also doesn't come on when I engage reverse gear with front wipers switched on
very informative thanks! have the same problem on my 2008 Fiesta Style Climate. also have another annoying problem with the boot release button and the button on the key. i think it could be the motor that's gone.
Quick tip on checking if the reverse bulb needs replaced or if it's something else like a fuse or switch... keep your window wipers on (front wipers) then put car into reverse, if the rear wiper doesn't automatically come on then it's definitely not the bulb that's the issue. (more than likely fuse or switch)

Hello, what is the colour of the reverse light at the rear of the car that connects to the light bulb? asking because I'm trying to fit the parking sensors, but I'm not sure to which cable I should connect the red wire. thank you

Ive just changed my bulbs on my reverse lights as they look like gone ive checked my fuse and looks like needs new as i aint got one of them pens as such to test it, if i had to order a new fuse what do i order??

Great, glad it helped, yes I would imagine it should sort your rear wiper not switching on too.
My wiper works but lights are intermittent does that mean j need a new switch still?

I don't know I'm afraid. U might be able to figure it out by carefully examining what goes where through the connector and light unit.
Does this work for the durashift automatic gearbox models too?
I'm not sure - best to just check if there's a similar/same component there.

Hello! How much transmission oil comes out when you remove the sensor? Needs a refill?
Very small amount - I think it's at about the fill level anyway - I didn't top it up.
