Daikin became the world’s first company to succeed in applying R-32 to air conditioners by leveraging its expertise as the only manufacturer that develops and manufactures both air conditioners and refrigerants.
Carrier does the same with PURON 454B which is their version of the R32 from Diakin.
Fuck daikin
If daikin is the first, explain how I can have a Mitsubishi R32 system for the past 2 years?
@@zacharypalczynski8450I mean carrier are using r32 in Australia
@@sciencetestsubject what country ?I've yet to see one in USA?
10:46 Mikey……..Yee , of little faith 😂. Good on you, Daniel! “The true definition of integrity is doing something correctly even if no one is looking”. Great work, as always Mikey!👍
The beauty of a Wago is that you can use stranded or solid.
Finally! Welcome to the world of Daikin 😈 next stop is daikin vrv systems 👍🏼🙏🏼
Okay, notes on electrical. You used nm through the block wall, and it should be either in a conduit or ran as uf. Also Daniel was hooking up line side wire to the load side terminals. Minor details, sharp looking install.
Good job guys. Keep up the excellent work Mike Daniel and Peter. Make the trades great again. #LoveBosch #LetsGoBosch #LoveDaikin
Yup did all mine with pigtails. I had 10g wire so I had to buy the blue wire nuts. I tried stuffing them in Wagos but not even close. :)
Hey Mickey, of Mickey Pipes Plumbing not easy being cheesy. I like your podcast/social media. You running R-22 again? lot of bubbles in my sight glass again. Hmm? shark bite max ? This you tube is a world of knowledge. Love you buddies, jolly good show, God save the King.
Great work as usual Mike! Would love to see that Trane replacement, but I’m sure they will call a hack to do it cheaper.
its only slightly flammable and is one half of r410a. good stuff!!!
Both jobs look very nice, and in record time. 👍🏻 Homeowner pays for a beautiful new mini split, and a top shelf repipe on his boiler but won’t pay for the brown raceway. 😂
That big label on the indoor unit would have irritated me too.
Been waiting for this video.
Funny how you post this when my Daikin wall unit at work gets a blue flashing power light with a U4 error code. Installed last year too. 😢
nice job, good looking installation.
I've been using Mitsubishi R32 for 6 years now. No problem about the refrigerent at all, people were a bit concerning at first when Daikin first introduce the units with R32 in 2015 but after a few years they don't care much (and yeah, R32 is actually cheaper than R410A here where I live)
They make same wall bracket in all stainless. Looks great. Never rust.
Easy to remember.......a wire begins and ends in a clamp. Could be a plastic box clamp, romex clamp, etc.
Mikey Fkn pipes love the mini split what is your thoughts on the flammable gas it uses
Mr pipes where do you get your shirts made? Tryna up the professionalism
Very cool. I have been waiting 4 years for the swich to R32. Our house has 2 fully functioning central air systems. but they are just so inefficient. Switched to window units cut electrical usage by 65%. Central air is usually a bad idea its even worse when you run your ducts in the attic and through wall spaces. Hopefully our state allows R32 soon.
We did Fujitsu for many years and had a similar experience as you. We switched to Mitsubishi a little over 2 years ago. Mitsubishi makes by far the best Mini split system on the market hands down nothing else even comparescompares.
What kind of temperatures does this unit produce heat down to with the R32 and it being an inverter system?
15:15 how u connect 230VAC single phase to 120V I believe in US or CA
I thought R32 was supposed to make things more efficient but these are SEER2 27.4? When are the 30+ units coming out?
Thank you for the video,
I'm looking for a 2-zone mini split system, just finding out about R410A being phased out so I'm looking for a R32 to protect the long term investment... However, in the states, I can't find this or really any mini splits that run on R32. Except for a Costway.
Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place.
Hey bud , the mins 11 feet, what’s the max on that size line set , curious .
why didnt WAGO connectors not work on this job? wondering i just bought a bunch of them and im using also 12 AWG wire
I will suggest the indoor unit put somewhere better location, often installer suggest to locate near corners of the wall but in fact the air blow out is not circulating the room well. This is easy for the installer but not best for the user.
I like those Daikin units. Good job selling a nice product. I’m not a fan of the bosch one you had been putting in.
Mikey there is Wagos for 10awg wire. 221-612 & 613 & 615
Wow thanks for this.
Ideal tan wire nuts will do 3 #10
U must protect your noodle Daniel at all times. Why did censor happy YT slap u with a climate change notice? YT sucks.
is R32 Replacing 410a
Price installed ??
Mikey what’s the running pressure like. I haven’t installed an r32 as yet. So far there’s still new 410a sys out there. This weekend I’m doing 5 zone Bosch with 2 condensers. I just updated the firmware on my sman. Now I have r32 on it.
@@PipeDoctor oh nice. Probably gonna last longer. Lol. Lower pressures
It's similar to R410a, not R22
Good looking job Mikey! How does the pressures of R32 compare to 410A? Are they similar?
It's similar to R410a, not R22
R22 is 58 psi for 34F, R410 is 101 psi, R32 is 103. So similar to R410a.
Hey Mikey, what’s the advantage of having flammable refrigerant? I can already guess what the disadvantages
Better for the environment
@@Shawnsullivan7 unless the immediate environment blows up with you in it🥴🤣🔥
So question if it aint just me. What happens you have a leak indoors and hits electricity. Kaboom!!! Im just saying please someone correct me if im wrong.
Decent looking equipment, and what a difference a well installed line cover makes.
Goodman has been beating the other distributors prices on just about everything in Florida, I’ll price a daikin next time… however…you get a ten year warranty on the Gree equipment.
MJF got screwed by Gree on a new install. He's done with them.
I have 2 mitsubishis with 410 and 2 with r32. The 410 units heat much better than the r32 units.
@@PipeDoctor in Australia
I have found the r32 units to perform better in cooling tho
I didn't think R32 was approved yet. When did this happen?
@@PipeDoctor Here in Kentucky we're on the 2015 mechanical code, so maybe we'll see R32 here when it's the only option.
Love hearing you crapping on Fuji. They have really created a lot of unhappy dealers, distributors, rep agencies, and their own employees with their website issues. I heard they paid Oracle $30M to build it two years ago and it still isn’t fully operational.
Not a lover of Daikin,Mitsubishi and Fujitsu really my top 2! We have tried a bunch of Daikin/Mc Quay equipment and it fails more than anything. Cond fan for a 4 ton is like $1,400
I remember that one Mike the wooden duct lollllll ancient tell them to hire some mexican to put in duct then you come do the rest!
All the flammable warnings are scaring me.
Been using it for almost a decade in Australia. We haven’t had a issue
R-22 or bust LoL!
Here in Australia you are not allowed to flare or crimp R32 internally it must be brazed outside is ok I hate this stuff
How many seer?
@@PipeDoctor Crazy it took USA almost 10 years to adopt that refrigerant.
See this is why plumbers shouldn’t do electrical work because they don’t fucking do it right go back down Mike G, or send Daniel back there and put a Gromit strain relief on that wire that’s simply not right
I have gone behind more than one licensed electrician to properly land terminals.
Or go to HD and get a bag of the plastic flush snap in romex connectors
Fujitsu have always been trash. Even here in Australia. They only just released r32 ducted units here when everyone else has had them for a few years now. There always really behind
brown slim duct sun fades bad and the fittings dont..looks terrible in a year or 2...i wont use it
Good to know.
I’m not a big fan of this refrigerant, especially in this application. But I’ll wait and see and not use it.
410a is 50/50 r-32 and r-125. This is better than 454b that carrier will be using in my opinion.
Will never use R32, I'll stick to using Gasoline or Propane 🙄
I hate Daikin with a passion they run about the same peice as fujitsu and are no where near the same quality IMO
@Mikey Pipes - Pipe Doctor Plumbing & Heating & Air haha I swear I'm not, and after watching the full video that unit looks nicer than an LPAS I've just had tons of problems with the internals of daikin
@Mikey Pipes - Pipe Doctor Plumbing & Heating & Air absolutely agree with that statement 100%. I love the way they look just not whats under the hood. But who knows maybe with all this strenuous testing on A2L refrigerants like r32 that'll change. Great video👍
@@PipeDoctor i live in New Zealand and have all Daikin at my home and Church. Super reliable over last 8 years and very energy efficient too :)
And here I thought Fujitsu was some Kind of Martial Arts. 🤔🤪👎
Why even have a video like this when the bulk of the real work is not shown? That does little to educate the viewers regarding how much planning and physical gymnastics actually go into the installation. And the "oh shove it in the hole Daniel, oh stick it in" while moaning was just ...... ..!
Prude.
