This program operates under the rhetorically hyperbolic banner “CRIME IS LEGAL” to highlight-and satirize-our view that modern enforcement mechanisms are lax, uneven and insufficient. The slogan does not assert that illegal conduct is actually permissible; it underscores regulatory gaps and the impossibility of declaring something as illegal on a factual basis.
All content herein constitutes commentary and opinion based on investigative journalism conducted with (i) publicly available documents, (ii) interviews, and (iii) other verifiable sources. To be absolutely clear: Facts and evidence may be given to support the author's opinion that something is a "scam" or a "grift", but the final conclusion itself is inherently subjective.

"Propaganda doesnt need to make you stupid. It just needs to make you tired." That is an incredible quote
exactly. ai videos of missles hitting Israel makes me disbelieve all of them, which is exactly what they want
@pulaskiPumperUhhhhhh why would an obvious garbage AI generator posted by the Iranian govt themselves make you disbelieve other footage you believe to be real?
They look nothing alike, as in they aren’t even close to being believable yet. One is blatant AI and the other is real (which doesn’t mean it’s the thing they say it is, just that it’s not completely computer generated)
If someone is too dumb to distinguish Iranian govt AI from real combat footage then nothing you say can help them. It’s a lost cause.
"Silent east" thats the name of the channel the quote is from. Really interesting guy, im kinda sad coffee didnt credit him. Its a small channel with interesting insights into russian thinking
That's what I told myself after I failed a phishing exercise at work. Had a new baby at home. 😂
@genericsocks7542 Most people don't know what a real video of missiles hitting a building or somewhere in a city at night looks like.
So how would you expect them to know if a certain video is real or not.
If the video is handheld, has other people in it and it is longer than whatever the usual max length of AI clips is. Does that make it real?
Like it is said:
It doesn't need to make us dumb, just tired.
If I have to triple check every single news video I come across, them I would rather quit that know the truth.
I have my own life with my own shit going on. I don't have time to do detective work every single time a video crosses my feed.
That does also mean I don't reshare shit blindly either.
The OF guy reminded me of a scene from the Big Short
- Why is he confessing?
- He's not confessing, he's bragging
Was so disappointed hearing the Aussie accent like… of course. But he really thinks ‘there are worse ways to make money off of people’ like bro what? You’re a scammer and you’re proud of getting the bag that way?
Some people are just extremely self centered and have no qualms about destroying peoples lives when it benefits them. Billionaires would not exist without this type of person because it is a mental disease to hoard that much wealth
@Thesbian91 The guy is an absolute douche, but if you think onlyfans scammers are in even the top 100 worst ways to make money off people then you're either very young or very naive.
@mrmcawesome9746 There is no "good" scam. To compare any one of them as though they are harmless is naive
Truth is no one cares about some loser OF subscribers being scammed by an AI model. Truth is they were already getting scammed and and suckered out of their money by the 'real' models too.
I can't believe Coffeezilla is so famous he got multiple presidents to cameo in his video!
😂😂😂😂
President zilla
corny ash
@stinkymonkey284426:56
@stinkymonkey2844I’ll never understand why people like you leave comments like this it adds nothing to the discussion and makes you look miserable😭
It horrifies me that my mom used to talk to me about watching too much TV and playing too many video games and now she is 60 years old, glued to her smart phones, constantly consuming AI media. I have no idea what to make of it.
Dude help her oh my lord
Your comment illustrates something that I think is fascinating, but rarely discussed: it seems insidious somehow that, when it comes to smart phone adoption, older people became as dependent as younger people on a new technology in absolute record time. Automobiles, air travel, hell, even microwave ovens all took decades to become ubiquitous. Smart phones? My 75 year old father was fiddling with a smart phone within 5 years of the first I-phone. Fast forward 15 years and it seems like taking the phone away from any American reduces them to helplessness.
I think boomers are becoming addicted to social media and not aware of information floating around by charismatic people are often not verified like old official news sources because they atleast had some accountability to not spread false information.
@Krmiby not just a boomer problem,
Install blockers on her phone. Block channels, accounts, hashtags... Everything you can.
I miss when AI deepfakes was just Will Smith eating spaghetti
It was AI generate videos, not deepfakes ( But I agree nonetheless😢)
Lol i could not unsee the way how he was eating it. Dude legit turned like the one alien in MIB 3
Elemental monkey spotted!
The grass type has the best looking evolution ❤
It never was "just" that...
SPAGHETTI SPAGHETTI SPAGHETTI 🍝
Trickiest thing about spotting a deepfake of Mr. Beast is that bro already _looks_ AI-generated.
his teeth don't even look like they belong in his mouth...
He smiles like the Terminator does in T2 when he tries to smile 😁
Jimmy is probably an Alien from MIB. He doesn't fit his meat suit properly
yeah with that creepy ass smile. He is a sociopath
I WILL TELL MR BEAST YOU SAID THAT
Less than 48 hours ago, i went to take my 80yo grandmother some groceries and household items. I walked in and she was sitting on her couch, face was white as a sheet and she had her hand over her open mouth staring at her Iphone. She was mortified that people were pushing other people in wheelchairs onto highways. They were getting hit by semi-trucks and launched out of the frame. She was so utterly confused. We had a talk.
What horrible content to generate and witness, hope she's ok
@siiluviilu yeah, she was relieved to know it was AI. Hopefully, I gave her some ability to discern fake slop.
why is grandmother doomscrolling?
@TheUmart i really don't know. She just clicks things.
The fuck was she on to see content like that? Lol
"Just go get the bag" people are exactly the source of most of our problems.
Crazy how we have normalized greed.
It's simple game theory says, go get the back is the goal but do so with a moral compass that keeps true north. If you are unable to get the bag while keeping the needle north then you have failed, you have lost. You are now a loser. These people love winning, you just need to convince them to compete morally which may be impossible. Which would mean they are all forever losers. Society needs to pull down pieces of trash who sell their soul to get a bag they are not to be idolized by the next generation of young people, adults of today owe the youth of the future at least this.
How was this any different like ever in America? That country is literally built on praising greed
@aw2584 Can you explain that? I ain't american. Not too familiar with the constitution.
How is it literally built on praising greed?
@aw2584literally. They wanted a “free” market, this is your free market.
“it is what it is” “that’s the way humans work nowadays” “gotta get the bag somehow”
that guy is a husk of a person
I'm ashamed to share a planet with him.
He is everything wrong with humanity wrapped up in one awful person.
We’ve been convinced that human nature is individualism greed and selfishness when we are social animals we survive based on community etc
We’re losing touch with our humanity and being convinced capitalism is somehow an innate feature of our survival
sociopath
He is just realistic.
@mwolf__ defeatism helps noone. We can work to change the way humans work nowadays.
Reminds me of an old joke. An American and a Soviet are talking about propaganda. The Soviet says, “Da, Soviet propaganda is bad but American propaganda is so much worse.” The American replies, “What are you talking about? We don’t have propaganda in the US!” The Soviet laughs and says, “See, I told you it was worse!”
This is literally how I see it as a non-American.
Americans are the most propagandized people on Earth.
In the US propaganda is so deeply rooted in the culture you can't escape it.
This is literally how I see it as an American.
@CultureVillainthey...aren't, no. There's is a lot but not even close to the most.
Who was that man who decades ago said that the ultimate goal of the intelligence agencies was to make everyone believe that nothing was real?
You thinking of Yuri Bezmenov?
I believe his name was Yo. Yo Momma
dont confuse russian and chinese intelligence with western countries'
Google does in fact exist, try that.
That is the C1A end goal. When the people believe nothing, they have succeeded.
I usually skip the patrons at the end of videos, but there's something so hopeful about seeing how long coffees list is.
They all need coffee, and not just the zilla version.
One thing that has probably weakened my AI perception is that RUclips has been editing shorts, I assume to artificially scale up the image, so everything looks fake.
I've seen a video using Portuguese music get its audio auto-replaced with an English 'translation'.
It's particularly atrocious when it tries to upscale videos that were uploaded before the feature was implemented and nobody knows why the depicted paintings or pictures look so fucked up. RUclips's upscaling AI is terrible with black and white pictures, specially grainier ones from the late 19th century to mid twenty century photos.
tiktok does that too
instagram has viral vids tons with meta ai translated dubs of the voices
I might be cynical but I feel like making it harder to tell when videos are fake or not is exactly why they added the ai upscaling. Otherwise it would be opt in only.
... life isn't going back to normal, is it?
No this is the future and unless someone comes up with a solution, and quickly it will encourage people not to use it anymore.
it was never normal buddy
We are cooking hard and it ain't on low heat.
changes happen all the time. we get adjusted. itll become the new normal. hopefully things will get better and soon
"Normal" is relative
We need AI regulation YEARS AGO
and we’ll still be saying that years from now.
at least 3, probably more.
Old folk in power hardly understand how internet work, and look that shit show
Nah
@ruick78even if they knew how the internet works we'd also have to overcome the ideological opposition to "burdensome" regulations on bussiness
Create it then. It’s not that easy
Let me spell this out, our corrupt government is using ai deepfakes to straight lie to the public. How is this not worthy of a revolt?
It is people are Just Lazy
7:58 bro, RUclips can’t even handle NORMAL scams and nudity on their ads.
But adblocker can😁
I reported several scam and corn ads nothing was done
@railroadforest30I reported many ads especially scam ones and blocked them, in an hour or so they showing the same ad to me,😂its useless to report them.
ofc they can, they dont want to lol
@railroadforest30I keep seeing the "and nothing was done" thing with no followup. How do you know nothing was done?
If you reported a scam channel or something, tell us what it is. More reports would actually help.
As Garfield once said, "You are not immune to propaganda"
Absolutely. And he hated Mondays as well. Truly a wise cat.
There should be another character that says "you are not immune to being fooled, if you think otherwise better think again".
This is where that scentence from Jurassic Park is so actual:
"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should."
That's AI!
I always wanted it to be, "Your capitalists were so preoccupied with how much money they could make off of it that they didn't stop to think if they should.".
Since that was Jurassic Park. And also genAI.
"We are gonna make the most advanced AI tool! Everyone will love it!" 'And if it goes south and kills people?' "We'll cross that bridge when we get there."
"We will make the smartest dino out there. She'll be the main attraction. Everyone will love it!" 'And if something goes south and she kills people?' "We'll cross that bridge when we get there." @black.phoenix, you are completely correct.
@amonoceros The story of the JP movie is literally a rich scientist wanting to make animals that look like dinosaurs and funding it himself. That's as far removed from your reddit comment as can be.
And the atom bomb
Ai has some people thinking its starring to develop consciousness
27:23 bro is actually proud of finessing people
It’s so creepy and weird how he brags about it.
RUclips: "We're introducing AI video ideas!"
RUclips: "Yeah it's getting harder to detect fake content now"
RUclips, my brother in christ, YOU contributed to that.
I don’t know why but this is hilarious 😂
RUclips isn't a snake eating its own tail... it's a snake eating its own Head!
And also, how do you counter ai videos? Im pretty sure youtube dont want to spend money hiring hundreds of people detecting what's real and what's not. Even hiring people is problematic as most workers won't do their job properly, so they see it as a defeated situation.
So the problem is not done by youtube but by users who are throwing in ai slops and youtube cant stop them because again hiring tons of people is expensive and possibly pointless as there is a huge possibility most workers won't do their job right.
its not a warning or worry from their side, it's bragging to the shareholders "our fake generated videos aren't even discernible from manmade slop anymore"
Coffee is calling out almost the entirety of youtube's ad sponsors with one video.
I use sponsorblock so I'm out of the loop here, have RUclips's ads been overrun by AI companies?
@artyb27 yeah pretty much
@artyb27relatable.
@artyb27My front page ads are just full of AI dating site. And claimed non AI dating sites with clearly AI images in cover. And also the classic scam game ads.
Atleast we can trust that's a real robot talking to Coffeezilla
but we can't trust that it was talking to the real Coffeezilla
Sadly even he is a mossad deepfake
dude your production quality is getting unreal
"The whitehouse even uses deepfakes" - As if thats a high bar any more lol
Can we go back to a time when this was a high bar. Like Watergate era White House 😭
I want to destroy those AI data centers so badly
At this point, if the White House does it, you probably shouldn't be doing it.
The funny thing about the Trump deepfakes promoting scams too is that they are hard to distinguish from his actual scams and rug pulls
That is by far the most horrifying one to me.
The government straight up edited someone's arrest photo to make them appear more guilty and remorseful.
@Tenkov true but the give away is the word annunciations. trump tends to draw out certain words when he's trying to think of what he's going to say next while the AI audio is more crisp and direct because the AI is just reading a script in his voice, so if the script doesn't have the pauses or word extensions in it then it doesn't do it. Morgan freeman deepfakes are really obvious as well because of where Morgan takes breaths before and while he's talking. it also lacks the low tone draw and lip smacking when he's talking.
"Propaganda doesn't shout at you until you believe, it talks to you until you are too tired to care"
That'll stick with me, great explanation, I've never had that perspective before
I watched and commented under the full video quite a while ago, and I also think that perspective is pretty solid, but I think it's ironic since that very video's script was AI-generated on a personal account lmao.
@ilovehuhcat Wait what? how do you know this?
@ilovehuhcat I also would like to know how you know that the script is AI generated
That intro was actually horrifying
Welcome to the new world.
@mediaportal5033 I really wish to not be living in it.
the grok part scares me most.
Anything with two known pdfiles in it is horrifying ….(And what’s worse is how PDFILE DEFENDERS will pretend I’m not talking about PDFILE trump and Elon)
You are easily scared.
1st impression video, and i thought i was watching a movie and not a video, damn the outro is amazing
One of the fears I have about AI is what if the evidences presented in court, can no longer be trusted because of hiw good these deepfakes/AI tools are.
With legal evidence, there is a huge emphasis on the chain of custody before being admitted into the evidence.
You need to prove where it's coming from.
It doesn't solve the issue, but it's better than nothing.
Does it matter in the US? If you got money you dont need to bother with that in the first place.
I suspect there are already people who specialize in identifying AI at a coding level who law enforcement consult and lawyers can call as witnesses in court. The videos might look realistic to the eye, but there will be a digital trail that will be difficult to hide.
grim fact: It already has been! They just caught it that time.
@indigo7898 The US is not the only place on earth, or within the remainder of history.
"Propaganda doesn't make you stupid. It makes you tired." Oh, man, I hadn't thought of that. Terrifying.
Yep. Flooding the zone, FUD, it's all part of the machinery to make you give up trying to tell what's real and what's fake, to ensure you're never certain enough to act on it. You see one clear truth or one clear lie, you might rise up. You see 17 different versions, some of which are true, partly true, or completely outlandish, how do you get a big enough group together to resist? Can be done, but it's a crap ton harder.
That's an amazing video. I recommend everyone watch the whole thing. It went viral last year
Yeah... Now that makes sense. And is terrifying
Y'all remember Yuri Bezmenov?
@eliharper6616 I watched that video not too long ago and the whole script was AI-generated lmao. My issue personally, was that the video was framed on a personal account, yet was generated by something without personal feelings.
20:40 that video of the "entitled Mom" are the ones I'm most terrified of. A lot of people don't realize how *insanely* popular content like that already is. Being able to on demand produce endless amounts of it with a political message like that could be insanely powerful.
I remember seeing this exact one showcased here, and i didnt even bat an eye if it's AI or not...
Maybe I need to stop watching shorts, and slow down. Focus being skeptical of the news I watch.
@IXITHELEGENDstop watching short form content in general ,
It already was
Endless ragebait generation. It is so over
AI and deepfakes make it even harder to know what’s real. I’ve seen people use TruthScan too, and honestly, tools like that make sense now.
0:10 The opening made me feel like i was watching The Changling from Total War Warhammer 3
Inquisitor Grendyl's legendary "I am a warrior" speech from Darktide
yesss bro
Ball knower
Feels like a black mirror episode
Everything 40k
That clip of the russian speaking about propaganda hit hard... more often I feel like I am meeting people who have given up on the truth
Saw this video before and cried. Coffee really decided to traumatize me again 😭 (actually happy he's speaking about this but-)
It's the old joke about the Russian and the American on the DC to Moscow flight where the Russian says "wow, the propaganda in America is so well done" and the American Says "what propaganda? I don't see any propaganda". The Russian smiles, "Exactly", he responds.
@Backinblackbunny009US citizens would still be confused today to know majority of their lives are propaganda hence why theyre in the awful state they put themselves in
People gave up on truth before AI. But sure, it's getting worse.
tbh i have given up on informing my self about politics and news because im just so much more happy without it also i dont even know what to believe anymore nowadays
I was so sure this video was going to end with a "All of the people I've interviewed in this were Deepfaked."
Nah this is Coffeezilla, not Defunctland!
Bro, you knew I wanted to comment that 🤦♂️
@pcguy619 what happened to defunctland?
I’m pretty sure they mean defunct land is more likely to make use of a twist ending like that rather than referring to any actual uses of ai. I have not heard of that channel doing anything like that before.
You should do a video on BG Wealth / DSJ
“Spicy mode” is fucking insane and disgusting
They literally trained Grok on tons of p0rn too, they knew what they were doing from the start. At the end of the day it's happening because AI corporations can get away with stealing tons of content to train their models and there's no regulations.
They could train models directly on CSAM and they would never get in trouble.
I feel like you’re just saying this because of how people ended up abusing it.
@y@yomommashaus Abusing the deepfake porn generator? No its intended use is insane and disgusting. Did they REALLY think people were just going to generate people that don’t exist in the deepfake porn machine? To me it’s more likely, especially after looking into it more, that this was its intended use.
@OneHotCupit's weird to do, but I don't see the issue. It's fake, and anyone who made it would be an idiot to show it around. It's fundamentally no different than drawing or imagining someone naked.
People that were fantasising that the fake nude apps back in the early 2010s would become real got their answer.
What in the spy action series intro 1:03
I like it lol
It was like the end of _Dual Destinies_ where the big baddy has his _Ace Attorney_ freakout and starts constantly ripping off his face to reveal dozens of other characters no this isn't going to land with anybody here I concede that.
10 million dollar studio
Fresh af lol
@None-Trick_Pony Spoilers lmfao
Joe Rogan selling a libido booster is something that could definitely happen
could have. he doesn't need to do any of it nowadays, if he wants yet more money he simply rings his handler to send the next plant
the video's point has been proven
Naaah never hell just say, " go to your doctor and get on TRT" lol
Wait until you find out what his first sponsor originally sold.
thats kind of the point of this whole video. Its something that could happen, so you won't question it.
remember the age old advice.
Never believe everything on the internet? we full circling to that again with the deepfake issues
OK, redoing that shot from Bladerunner 2049 is worth an algorithm-pumping comment
I realized how hard it is to spot deepfakes now when I saw a totally convincing short video of dogs welcoming servicemembers home... until one of the scenes had a home's front door swing back and forth like a saloon door.
I don't know where this is all going, but I just can't see it being anywhere good.
hopefully just bankruptcy
Those famous files in the news.. its just a test to see if the public notices. If they can convince everyone those videos are real, they can show us anything and we will buy it.
@BobLaserlivesthat’s already been happening unfortunately… I mean look at the biggest empires or propaganda during wars… the internet just emphasizes a problem already here so idk how worse this’ll get since the conspiracy theory videos popped up in the late 2000s lol
its going into the 2028 election and the war with Iran (and likely, war against domestic political enemies). Think about all the boomers and Gen Xers (im gen x btw lol) that respond all hot to AI thirst traps, and then consider how easily they will be fooled by ACTUAL good AI in an election year, loaded with emotional partisan bullshit. We are FKD.
@kyleharrison2286 its going much further than that. Bluebeam
8:00 No, RUclips is not "trying very hard" or, in fact, doing jack shit about these. I took the time to actually report every single scam ad i saw played over the past two years, and on top of that, outright porn ads, adult dating apps advertised over kid-safe videos, and many other things. You wanna know how many of those reports got acted on? Zero. They all got rejected with a note claiming they're within RUclips's / Google's guidelines.
I had the same experience with Instagram.
I reported a corn ad and got the same ad the next day
Yup, I've done the same. They don't care, they're complicit in this.
gotta say 'they are trying real hard' while employed in this ecosystem, guys lol
@gordof1991 $ rules everything around me
The sentient yogurt episode of Love, Death, and Robots hit the nail on the head about humans
"Propaganda doesn't make you stupid, it makes you tired." I felt that so hard; it truly is tiring. Not just the fact that governments are taking far too long to regulate this technology, but it's deeply tiring not being able to trust what you're seeing in front of you is even real anymore
And then there's the ragebait online
And feeling powerless to stop it all.
they aren't trying whatsoever. The tech dude is kinda the crux, as long as they make money and there isn't a big public outcry they don't really "care"
This quote is also ironic in the context of that video, since it was generated by an AI.
What kind of regulation do you think is going to prevent the problem? The biggest media companies in the world has fought 30 years to make it illegal share movies and tv shows. If you think you are going to get around this problem with law you are basically trying to be the guy whose going to stop torrenting through legislation.
@nakuchan90 It's so easy to stop ragebait and literally everyone has the power to do it. You just stop watching. It's like people eating cake all day and then begging the government to please make eating lettuce mandated so you can get back to a healthy weight.
“We cognitively checkout” is exactly how I feel now. I literally have no faith in my ability to know what is real and as a consequence I simply have become numb and too tired to bother caring about world events.
I saw a show from the 90s that was about bigotry and TV propaganda (It was the show Dinosaurs btw 😂) and it ended with them deciding to turn off the TV and care more about the people around them and this was a perfectly acceptable moral. Today however, the idea of tuning out is "giving up", I disagree. When in human history have we all had to spend so much time worrying about the whole world? Live life locally ✌🏼
Exactly. I can't even enjoy a stupid silly cat video anymore without wondering if it's real. So lame.
I watched a video about growing up in soviet russia recently. They said that the purpose of propaganda wasn’t to trick you into believing something, but to overwhelm you with information such that the line between truth and lie blurs entirely.
@nerfherder4284tuning out is not the same as engaging with local community, at all
people who give up on caring about serious issues are never going to be able to form meaningful community because the people who CAN'T tune it out (poor people, minorities, etc.) are always going to be put off by it
and that's how they win :sad emoji:
I fucking hate all this AI shit flooding the internet. It's so frustrating, and it's even worse that so many foot-clapping shitheads blindly support it, and spineless politicians lining their pockets to keep it deregulated.
stop acting all high and mighty you would def take the millions if it was offered to you
@VegetableJesus other people are corrupt so its fine? What's the point of a government if its not going to even govern
@VegetableJesussome people in fact have integrity, believe it or not.
@nerfherder4284 if you're calling people you disagree with "foot-clapping shitheads" you dont have much integrity
@pretzels7437 i never said that.
Thank you coffeezilla! Your news and reporting kept me safe!
"Does it need to be perfect?" I just think of all the people watching on a phone, probably not full screen, maybe even smaller with a picture in picture cut out, streaming at 360 or 480p. They're not all watching intently on an 8K monitor, and it makes the details that much harder to spot
Exactly!
Yeah, this is a huge factor. Years ago, when that "photorealistic" UE5 shooter game dropped and everyone was freaking out about it being indistinguishable from actual video, I didn't understand how _anyone_ could think it was real. Until I realized most people these days watch on phones and can't see shit.
Scrolling on a toliet
Not to mention most people have the attention span of a goldfish and verify nothing they see on the internet.
As someone who doesn't use twitter/grok, I had no idea about 'spicy' mode (horrendous name btw) or how disgustingly easy the process is/was. How the fuck did that feature ever see the light of day? Absolutely vile.
Elon was probably jorkin it, let's be honest
@grunkle-g.2934 Uh hi uh guys it’s me uh Elon. I just uhh wish to uh that I am uh “jorking it” right uh now “lol”.
_OHMYGODPLEASELOVEME_
Even more vile, a lot of people were defending it. Some were telling the girls that if they posted their pictures, they shouldn't be surprised if something like that happened. I know some people removed all their picture posts because of this.
The generations and prompts are public. The real person in the photo can see all the pics. Some prompts are like "make her naked with her arms cut off" it's extremely disturbing.
In the words of Eugene Krabs: Money!
man I’m just tired of my mind being constantly assaulted
It just might work! :p
@ryantrachelWhile true psychologically, you are exactly the intended outcome. Coffee even mentioned this in the video.
And when you do the cognitive and literal effort to filter out the huge amount of untrustworthy BS, what you are left with is almost always a horrible truth; not just tired, exhausted.
“Viewer discretion is advised.” Turn up the volume and locks in. 😂
I work with venerable clients with significant cognitive disabilities. They are constantly scammed by these deepfakes and AI videos. I’ve seen my clients loose thousands of dollars being scammed and suffering mentally as they don’t have the capacity to understand these are scams and are not real. Really sad.
Loose
I hate this video, not because it's wrong. But because it's so true it hurts.
To quote OrdinaryThings' last year review: "2025 was the year when pics or didn't happen became pics that didn't happen."
Fake Tom Cruise is less scary than the real one.
RUclips is supersaturated with AI. Look up anything, then set the search settings to only things released today or in the week, and you will see a disgusting amount of AI slop.
The use of “slop” is over used as well.
Oh my god don’t even get me started on the state of Pinterest now. Literally 90% AI
@ImInvisible-n5h I prefered it when you were actually invisible.
bro look up “racist cop” it’s insane how many ai vids of that exact scenario is out there i maybe to woke but there’s more to it and it’s weird
I personally believe that it is the peoples fault because YOU have POWER over the decision YOU MAKE so no matter how much u say u hate AI others will use it because of that free will
Do you think so too ordo you think it's the company's FAULT?
That last comment from the OF operator is indeed the slogen of todays society. Morality no longer matters when money is to be made
We’ve always been this moral
Kind of the main selling point of Capitalism.
Slogen
That quote from the Russian guy about propaganda making you tired rather than thinking it comes as some singular moment was very profound. Made me see things in a new way.
I realized that at some point, I must give up and stop resisting the AI slop. Why? Because it's getting so sophisticated and harder to detect to the point where it'll (very quickly) become impossible to detect, and because companies aren't really trying to stop the AI boom, it's going to be apart of our lives now. In addition, "video evidence" in court proceedings will no longer be a slam dunk in cases. Now they'll have to prove that the video is real. We're at the point where no audio and video can be trusted.
No one is immune to propaganda, that’s the biggest mistake so called “educated” people make. The greatest act of intelligence is admitting you are just as susceptible to it as the next guy. Modesty comes in accepting we’re not better, and we run the same risks. *AI* will only get better, but humans will always have their limitations.
💯 I think that getting comfortable with cognitive discomfort is one of the most important skills you can develop. The less you NEED to be right, the more you question IF you’re right, the more likely you are to BE right.
If there's one thing AI has proved, is that humanity has to evolve in a different direction faster than ever. To what end I'm not sure, but we're not equipped to live in this world anymore.
@mattd5240 don't worry, with the way global warming is going, that will not be an issue soon.
@mattd5240 or that fact we were aren’t able to handle this amount of tech yet.
@nw42 as an autistic person who loves to research stuff and throw it into other people’s faces, I do agree.
I'm so glad we spent the last several years making ever increasingly more convincing LYING machines. First it was art theft and now it's just reality as a whole. Great use of human ingenuity.
In fairness, the Amber Heard video was a good use of the tech. Those who know, know.
Everything we do that's good gets monetised and used against us soon enough. It's disgusting.
Sickening that deepfake was created to further strip women and kids of their agency. Now with meta glasses, I’m sure it will get worse. No where is safe.
If you think thats why deepfakes were created i hate to tell you its much worse than that, thats just one of the many insidious fall outs from it. It's to ensure we don't know what's true or not, so when they push out some heinous shit (think epstien files photos or videos, reactions to war) we have no way of knowing what is factual. Once you control the facts your control the narrative, once you control the narrative you control everything
wehmen, everything is about wehmen and what they're worried about
@mattj1829the video explains undressing women was why deepfakes was originally created
@Say_graceyou gotta be kidding me smh . I know plenty Smart women and you’re not Doing any of them a favor .. smh
Women in the West complaining about agency. That is rich
stool fracker rogan says he is so weird.. ok.. noted..
You know here in Hungary, we will have an election in a month. Our governing party is deepfaking soldiers getting killed in the war next door. They already using ai to stay in power and manipulate people here.
Are these fake clips on orbancontrolled national television?
If yes, do the boomers believe it?
I worry about you guys.
@Clippy_Can Thanks, to be fair I'm not really good with geopolitics but idk what happen if our "king" wins again. Eu might kick us out... or worse... dunno.
@Quantensprung-l3c Yes, exactly. They spread the videos on all kinds of platforms that are state funded, like Facebook Instagram etc and of course state run TV channels (like HírTV and TV2).
And to address your other question, yes a lot of older people believe it, but sadly it's not just elderly people who believes this.
18:52 I love (DESPISE) how instantly Joe believes it’s real
Notice how eager Rogan was to try to turn Walz's "weird" indictment of conservatives against him, too. The guy was so dead set on regurgitating right-wing talking points he wasn't even looking at the video in front of him.
@natmorse-noland9133 Tim waltz is a freak tho.
@sacb0ysure, buddy, whatever you say. I'm sure that's a genuinely held option and not just a defensive reaction to Walz's accurate observation that the Trump administration is full of psychos.
@sacb0y Why do you believe that?
Rogan is in fact a right wing propagandist. Look no further than his interviews with members of this administration and his billionaire friends
"And if you think the next time it happens we're going to recognize it because they're wearing scary uniforms, you're out of your damn mind."
There is technology patented by Nvidia which should enable people to give validation “certificates” to their voice.
Nice CSAM generator we should bet the entire economy on it
Hey, the DOW is over 50k so it's fine
Dam the fact this only happened like a month ago sucks, this has been a long year and it’s only March 😭
wild to post misinformation under a misinformation awareness video
@Baobei_Beolab I mean, I'm a software developer and I make extensive use of AI and even I find the situation pretty iffy.
@Baobei_Beolab That's not what this comment is, it's obviously jabbing at the capacity of those programs.
This video is more horrifying than most horror movies. What a dangerous world we live in.
29:37 that's what we call self-soothing language.. you can see the shame in his eyes..
That's the look of someone who knows they're getting a disclaimer.
I like to think those eyes scream: "I'm too down in the pits that it's hopeless climbing back up" sad really.
This is probably one of your most important videos ever. Everyone should watch this.
There should be a mandatory ”THIS IS AI” label on all AI content, built into AI programming.
It would only make content lacking the watermark even more insidious.
There already exist consumer-usable models whose only purpose is to remove watermarks.
too bad the people doing the "AI programming" are mostly vibe coding
The issue here is that there's not really a way to do that reliably. I agree we need some kind of system, but if you put it into the metadata then it can be removed, and if you try to get the AI to do it won't be reliable as it's nearly impossible to get LLMs to do something consistently 100% of the time
Yes, you’re correct. Everybody saying it can be bypassed etc,. The point is that it needs to be established in law, that AI should be labelled appropriately with a watermark. If people bypass the law, including governments then it’s been established that is illegal and action can be taken. Maybe you can’t beat the problem but at least make it clear that it’s not acceptable under law.
One correction: the White House EXCLUSIVELY shows deep fakes.
Thats why they made it. So us dumb Americans don't notice when the leaders start disappearing
The Goslingzilla scene hits hard.
but also remember that the new york times and other major mainstream media outlets are also propaganda tools owned by rich people that are very close to the current regime.
do not believe what they say about venezuela and other foreign countries that are illegally attacked and exploited by the USA.
The intro is genuinely one of the most dystopian things ever
the irony of this comment is off the charts
@beigegeckowhat do you mean?
@discoverarcane Heisenbergfam is a bot
Begone, bot
This is why we need AI regulations
They exist. In the EU.
It will come, but the question is, when.
careful there shooter, the regulation points right back at yourself
Guess who stopped a regulation resolution from being passed.
@KevinDC5do they use AI
They are really out there playing "it's just a prank bro" on a government level.
Humanity is so fucked man. We are cooked
I can't believe the "double your gold" runescape scams work in real life too.
I feel like another major danger is that all this slop makes us distrust real information.
💯
yep, that's one of the core tactics of misinformation: flood the zone
Please watch the full video. That is covered, and is actually the main thrust of the video.
@PedanticNo1 I did make my comment while only 12 min in. I did watch the rest, and yes it was kinda covered but I feel like the point was more that people would either have their biases "confirmed" or become too tired to stay informed. But my comment was more about the the fundamental distrust in any information.
Distrusting all information before it can be verified os probably a good thing
13:45 yeah that’s where I’m at
Just more of the same dude
Me too down here in Brazil, it's the same shit
i think that’s all of us
@Unrealbrlol
Showing the NYT headline at 14:40 was pretty funny considering they're basically a state dept mouth piece. In pretty much every conflict they completely align with the government. Just because something is not AI-generated doesn't mean it's not propaganda.
17:05 the WHAT?! 😭
😂
Alrighty everyone, say it with me
"Metal gear solid 2 warned us"
Both MGS 2 and Terminator 2 warned us of the dangers that A.I. poses.
Sure they were extreme cases, but heavily weighted in foreshadowing.
A significant number of RUclips accounts uploading regular videos now are total ai channels
Any examples?
Bot @gavinderulo12
just don't watch them. if your algorithm is too much poisoned with slop just make another one. I think there's also option in yt settings to reset everything.
And a lot of their audience doesn’t understand that
@gavinderulo12 In this weeks alone I encountered about 4 AI videos.
You're a goddamn gem, Coffeezilla. Just know that
This is why I hate when ANY politicians use AI, since it makes a perpetual loop of fighting fire with fire, and the whole world burns.
that dude at 28:00 is gonna be the downfall of OF. Exposing the platforms BS tactics was a bold move. XD
"Grab that bag"
Yeah, this mentality that's so prevalent amongst humanity is going to be the end of us.
I love living in an AI arms race
My parents always said: "When you grow up, you will have to learn not to believe everything you see and hear". Oh boy did I not see just how true this saying will become.
The sad fact is... my own parents said something similar to me when I was a tenn but now... they believe absolutely everything they see on the internet.
29:15 its honestly shockingly how disgusting our system works that it lets people like this forgo humanity to enter abusive systems and be the abuser just because it makes "a lot of money" thats all that matters anymore
About AI: The disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The fake videos are just one head of the devil.
AI is such a wide spectrum of concepts, ironically you are as much a victim of propaganda on this topic as everyone discussed in the video. They say electricity, you think Edisons Elephant, they say nuclear power, you think Chernobyl, they say AI, you think consumer grade generative models. In a way its worse, because what you’re talking about is the tip of a very large and dark iceberg, in a way its good because what you’re talking about is very expensive and unprofitable and will largely die off on its own when the bubble bursts
The data centers being the backbone of mass surveillance is the other side of the coin, both sides of the coin are bad
21:18, that recreation of Blade Runner 2049's scene gave me literal chillzzz...
20:54 The clip shown, that Gov. Abbot retweeted, isn't AI. It's from the videogame War Thunder. However, it does still show the confirmation bias described in the video.
Crazy how realistic that game can look with decent editing
I don't get it, warthunder gameplay isnt about warships and planes, it's about leaking secret documents
@VickyHong1879 Wish the unredacted Epstein Files are next(won't happen, but)(Yes, better fully unredacted than what the white house is revealing)
"John Cena"
*Pans to empty ring*
Love you Coffee. Never change
I scrolled too far to see this joke mentioned.
I don't like any ai even if it "serves my agenda" because when it's exposed it just makes us look bad and untrustworthy which will serve the other side in the end. I want the truth no matter what.
Sci-fi nightmare has become reality
