    This program operates under the rhetorically hyperbolic banner “CRIME IS LEGAL” to highlight-and satirize-our view that modern enforcement mechanisms are lax, uneven and insufficient. The slogan does not assert that illegal conduct is actually permissible; it underscores regulatory gaps and the impossibility of declaring something as illegal on a factual basis.
    All content herein constitutes commentary and opinion based on investigative journalism conducted with (i) publicly available documents, (ii) interviews, and (iii) other verifiable sources. References to “scams,” “fraud,” “theft,” or related terms are made in the same rhetorically hyperbolic context of “CRIME IS LEGAL” and should not be taken as definitive findings of fact or legal conclusions. Facts, evidence, and independent analysis are used in this program to draw strongly opinionated conclusions, but it is important to draw a sharp distinction between the facts and evidence presented, and the opinions drawn based on such material.
    To be absolutely clear: Facts and evidence may be given to support the author's opinion that something is a "scam" or a "grift", but the final conclusion itself is inherently subjective.
    No statement can or should be interpreted as a categorical declaration that any person has violated civil or criminal law unless a court has so ruled. Viewers are encouraged to examine the cited materials and reach their own conclusions.
    Anyone featured who believes a statement is inaccurate or incomplete may contact us at our RUclips business email with supporting documentation under the SUBJECT: “CORRECTION REQUEST”. We will promptly review substantiated concerns and, where appropriate, issue corrections or updates.

      @pulaskiPumperUhhhhhh why would an obvious garbage AI generator posted by the Iranian govt themselves make you disbelieve other footage you believe to be real?
      They look nothing alike, as in they aren’t even close to being believable yet. One is blatant AI and the other is real (which doesn’t mean it’s the thing they say it is, just that it’s not completely computer generated)
      If someone is too dumb to distinguish Iranian govt AI from real combat footage then nothing you say can help them. It’s a lost cause.

      @genericsocks7542 Most people don't know what a real video of missiles hitting a building or somewhere in a city at night looks like.
      So how would you expect them to know if a certain video is real or not.
      If the video is handheld, has other people in it and it is longer than whatever the usual max length of AI clips is. Does that make it real?
      Like it is said:
      It doesn't need to make us dumb, just tired.
      If I have to triple check every single news video I come across, them I would rather quit that know the truth.
      I have my own life with my own shit going on. I don't have time to do detective work every single time a video crosses my feed.
      That does also mean I don't reshare shit blindly either.

      Your comment illustrates something that I think is fascinating, but rarely discussed: it seems insidious somehow that, when it comes to smart phone adoption, older people became as dependent as younger people on a new technology in absolute record time. Automobiles, air travel, hell, even microwave ovens all took decades to become ubiquitous. Smart phones? My 75 year old father was fiddling with a smart phone within 5 years of the first I-phone. Fast forward 15 years and it seems like taking the phone away from any American reduces them to helplessness.

    • @tookyohead
      @tookyohead 22 days ago +3

      It's simple game theory says, go get the back is the goal but do so with a moral compass that keeps true north. If you are unable to get the bag while keeping the needle north then you have failed, you have lost. You are now a loser. These people love winning, you just need to convince them to compete morally which may be impossible. Which would mean they are all forever losers. Society needs to pull down pieces of trash who sell their soul to get a bag they are not to be idolized by the next generation of young people, adults of today owe the youth of the future at least this.

    • @sirmonkey1985
      @sirmonkey1985 29 days ago +3

      @Tenkov true but the give away is the word annunciations. trump tends to draw out certain words when he's trying to think of what he's going to say next while the AI audio is more crisp and direct because the AI is just reading a script in his voice, so if the script doesn't have the pauses or word extensions in it then it doesn't do it. Morgan freeman deepfakes are really obvious as well because of where Morgan takes breaths before and while he's talking. it also lacks the low tone draw and lip smacking when he's talking.

    I realized that at some point, I must give up and stop resisting the AI slop. Why? Because it's getting so sophisticated and harder to detect to the point where it'll (very quickly) become impossible to detect, and because companies aren't really trying to stop the AI boom, it's going to be apart of our lives now. In addition, "video evidence" in court proceedings will no longer be a slam dunk in cases. Now they'll have to prove that the video is real. We're at the point where no audio and video can be trusted.

    No one is immune to propaganda, that’s the biggest mistake so called “educated” people make. The greatest act of intelligence is admitting you are just as susceptible to it as the next guy. Modesty comes in accepting we’re not better, and we run the same risks. *AI* will only get better, but humans will always have their limitations.

      Yes, you’re correct. Everybody saying it can be bypassed etc,. The point is that it needs to be established in law, that AI should be labelled appropriately with a watermark. If people bypass the law, including governments then it’s been established that is illegal and action can be taken. Maybe you can’t beat the problem but at least make it clear that it’s not acceptable under law.
