Amazing song. This song reminded me from the deep depression that I'm suffering from. I was constantly buried in my own negative thoughts and the opinions of other people. But I thank God everyday that I am still alive and breathing. I thank God that he understood my situation. The constant frustration that I'm going through. The constant emotional and verbal torment that's been hindering me to get better. But God was always there. When I eventually spiralled to deep depression and suicidal attempt. I believe God changed my heart that day. Without him I would be dead by now. I just wanted to thank 3 Doors Down for this brilliant song. This song really encouraged me to overcome my depression. God bless every soul that is suffering from this dreaded condition. God is always there to listen to your burdens and worries. May God bless us all.
Crying doesn't show your weak, it just shows you that you've been strong for too long.

4 months out of a nursing home where I almost died and watched though people dying around me. I don't know-how but with my freedom back I'm going to change the world. This song helps. I hope my youtube channel changes things.
_This song has been my life over the past 5 years. W/ my depression worsening, even to the point where I was suicidal and most of my friends were/are. I'm trying to be happy, but it's hard when sometimes all I feel is a stab in my chest... or when I'm numb and can't feel anything at all. This song just hits me_

How are you feeling today? Depression is one of the worst things, sometimes you get out of control and near to cross the line literally. I also suffered from depression for 2 months and lost a lot of weight, I have compensated for it by going to the gym but when you suffer from it you only think about listening to music that makes you sad. I lived most of it listening "It's not over" and "Beyond the stars" from Evans Blue. Personally they make me sad and today I don't want to listen to it anymore because it brings back memories of it. Get well, go outside because being at home is the worst, do what makes you happy and forget.

I don't know anyone in the comments, but I feel that we share the same bond because of our pain. So if you are reading this, value yourself and the people who support you. I've seen war and separation with my love ones. It's been torturing me for years, but I didn't give up on life. I hope you all find peace in your lives.

I'm recovering from a massive stroke. Literally I should at the very least be a drooling messnost sitting up talking plainly and my cognitive function is in tact. It's tough going from being active to being stuck in a wheelchair in a nursing home. But I struggle and fight every day. I'm tired but giving up is not an option. I try to encourage others.
Once a month this song is on repeat 10times. CHANGES

2019 still love this song/band
I love this song a lot. I forgot how I found it so long ago, years ago. But as I was growing up and felt myself getting so upset, mad at something. I would play this song if I could and it would help calm me down somehow. I don't know why it would calm down my rage that would be boiling before listening to it. But it would calm me down like nothing else I known to be able to do. So I'm grateful for this song for that reason :D It's epic and it's a wonderful cure for when I'm about to rage, it can stop before I'd do anything I'd regret later. Such as breaking my belongings from stupid rage.
Hearing this before Afghanistan meant nothing, but afterward, this defines me.

Love this song! I typically don't listen to radio bands like Nickelback, Hinder, Seether, etc...Not because I think I'm too cool, just can't get into it. 3 Doors Down though is just a solid band, this is a very heart-felt album! Feel like they've done things the right way.
Nickelback sucks, Hinder is like a bullet in the head, Seether i can deal with. One Cold Night is pretty decent to me,but this album, due to timing,(5 wks shy of 50)hit on so many things. Plus our little group, 8,9 people couldn"t keep that cd. We all bought multiple copies over time cause they kept disappearing! We probably had 15 or so empty cases.

@MARBLEIFERTAS God your right. Life really does get better. I went through some heavy depression but I got through it, even though I have a few scares to prove it came. Life has turned for me, I'm happier now. My depression may never really completely leave but it does get easier and go away for long or short amounts of time. I thank God I'm still here to have the good times
