Jamie (thinking Clair's first husband dead) told her to never be afraid to speak of Frank to him. Because Frank loved Clair Jamie would honor him. Frank, though, wanted Clair to forget Jamie and forbade her to ever speak of him. Even burned the clothes she wore while with him trying to erase him. If Frank had behaved sympathetic to Clair's grief, and even pretended to be grateful to Jamie for risking his life and even spilling his blood to protect Clair in such a horrific twist of fate she likely would have treated him better. She gave all her emotions to the other love because Frank wouldn't let her grieve him.
Frank was Claire's first husband and the love of her life. If you put yourself in Frank's position, your spouse suddenly left you without any explanation, they retuened and all they talked about was someone they fell for would hurt so much. Then they have another person's baby too, yet, Frank is willing to take the baby and love Claire. Come on.. also, if Claire just went back to her time when Jamie brought her to the stone, everyone would heal better and noone will get hurt.. but Claire wanted that 1740s d*ck and lifestyle hahah almost got raped, tortured and abuse. damn I will go back to my original loving husband and better life in 1746 for sure. Claire was annoying 😂😂😂😂 Jamie happened to be there for Claire in a new time/place and they got married only to protect her which later she fell for him. It is totally different. Sorry, I'm on Frank's side. He did nothing wrong
@@yellowsmarties2 Oh, I'm on Franks side. He was a decent man in a world with its share of buttholes. Especially in modern times where it's easy to get rid of a spouse you no longer want. He still loved Clair, and adored her child. He tried to take her away to a place where she could heal and forget. He paid for her to go to med school (always very expensive). But he wanted her to forget when she didn't want to. He didn't want to give any sort of respect to what Jamie did for her. Mrs. Graham told her to tuck it to the back of her heart and get on with life. Frank said forget it and pretend it never happened.
I think you both have valid points...had Frank let her grieve Jamie and what she'd lost it might have been easier for her to show him the respect that his actions and behavior warranted and deserved but at the same time I just don't think she could let Jamie go and Frank was fighting a losing battle. He wanted her to love him the way she used to and she just couldn't. I actually think Frank's mistress was right when she said that Claire should have let him go. I think she would have spared them both a lot of pain and resentment and hurt feelings. I understand wanting Brianna to have a father but he could have been her Dad without being Claire's husband.
@@feliciatierney2265 Claire never held Frank there. She told him several times to go, especially at first. Frank's sense of honor wouldn't let him abandon a pregnant woman. It just wasn't done in those days. After that it was Bree that held him there. When Claire discovered that Frank was truly attached to his mistress she offered to leave him (but taking Bree). He wouldn't leave and wouldn't let her leave. He was always in hope of her letting Jamie go. The night she told him "That amount of time doesn't exist" is when he tromped off into a snowstorm and died in a car crash. I always thought that was on purpose. That was no accident.
@@feliciatierney2265 Frank always knew where the door was. Claire told him to go at first. He wouldn't because in his old-fashioned ideas of chivalry only a cad would leave a woman pregnant and with no family to help her. That was moral and kind of him, but he wanted to still be her love; her only love. He could not share, even in memory.
I don't think Jamie loved her more, but he loved her right... He's never been afraid of knowing Claire as a whole, he accepted and respected her past, her faults and mistakes, her love for the husband she left behind and even agreed to let the worst person he's ever met live just to make sure Claire would have someone to turn to if anything happened to him. Frank on the other hand despite being a good father and keeping her safe did everything in his power to make her forget Jamie, she wasn't even allowed to say his name or grieve him, he made the whole pregnancy situation about him and how he wanted to be a father ignoring Claire's feelings completely towards the man who gave him the possibility to be Bree's father, without Jamie he wouldn't have her and all because he didn't trust the love they had and honestly? I believe that to be one of the reasons why that love tore apart
Absolutely perfect song for Claire and Frank. Love it. 👌

Excellent choice of music and the video was beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Ну хочется верить, что существует такая великая любовь, такая страсть!!!!!!
El gran amor de Claire es Jeimie ..si no lo hubiese conocido nunca habría experimentado esa clase de amor
You have really built on the differences of the damaged, lost relationship of Claire and Frank vs Claire’s lost relationship of Jamie’s love. 🥲
Cool. You can see that Jamie loved more
so fitting
