    I sat in a van with 15-15's... It was a Rockford Fosgate utility van from many years ago. The speakers were on a wall directly behind the driver/passenger seats, with the speakers facing into the cab... I didn't quite get the breathing part down, but phones, water bottles, etc. flew into the air! Great video by the way!

    Why do people twin turbo cars? why do people ride the baddest bulls? why do people race motorcycles doing 180 down the highway? Well people put 12 12" sundowns in their vehicles cause its called their hobby. And people who have passions for their hobbies go all out to have or to be the biggest, fastest, or the baddest in their hobbies community. That's just how It goes...

      Yeah but this guy went overboard. He removed nearly everything that absorbs soundwaves and replaced it with painful hard materials like WOOD or even CEMENT! Damnation! Any skinny-ass person that sits there will get tortured! You just gotta hope that you got enough fat on your ass to be saved from the physical pain. Man...nutslaps while listening to some hard bass? Wayyy overboard bro, wayyy overboard. Not my jam at all. Put some nice seats there and then it's good tho!!

    You are so right about the pain of bass being a rush . I started car audio five years ago when I was 42 and I got addicted to shows and bass immediately . I've done all kinds of rushes in life from moshing to rollercoasters , to street racing and more but nothing gives you a rush like bass . I absolutely love it . I've been to literally a hundred shows in the last 3 yrs and have had thousands of demos I just can't get enough of the BOOM BABY :)

    I've been in Car Audio since the early 90s and I've always had the notion of having a complete build inside out. I respect the heavyweights for their dedication to build monster systems like this but I dig builders like Brent Levitt and James Taylor/ JP for presenting a finished product.

    • @neoplasmax
      @neoplasmax 5 лет назад +8

      That's pretty insane considering db is logarithmic and nearly needs to double power or double the cone area just to get +3db... And for it to do that in near subsonic frequencies and lower, it's gotta be akin to just ramming your vehicle into a wall a few times a sec.. lol

    • @oprisvlad3102
      @oprisvlad3102 5 лет назад

      @@neoplasmax much more than double the power because driver's sensivity isn't proportional with watts... I mean let's say a driver has 91db(1w/1m), (2w/1m) won't be exactly 3 db louder, it will be nearly 2.9 but as you increase the wattage it will go down drastically

      I remember a place called Audio One here in Richmond, VA. I did some HVAC work there (that's what I do) and was talking to one of the salesman. He was tryna sell me some JL W7s I think. He was talking bout a car with 4 of them in it. This was back in like 2002 or 2003. I asked what did it hit. He said they dont know it blew the mic every time. I played it off like wow ok, but really I wanted to be like mofo do I look stupid to you? Aren't the mics rated for 180db, which is like a sonic boom I believe the loudest thing known to man? Am I wrong? Obviously I didnt buy W 7s. Or anything from Audio One. I mean what's the point if you cant even meter if lmfao.....

      Cyber Trucker Road Show I don’t know why people think bass wont damage hearing, just because it doesn’t hurt your ears, doesn’t mean its not violently oscillating your ears in and out. You brain just doesn’t pick up on those lower frequencies as much as higher ones

    • @thenotoriousrvh6091
      @thenotoriousrvh6091 6 лет назад +1

      The sound waves travel from the outer ear and in through the auditory canal, causing the eardrum, or tympanic membrane, to vibrate. This, in turn, causes the three small bones, known as the ossicles, or the hammer, the anvil and the stirrup, in the middle ear to move. The vibrations move via the oval window through the fluid in the cochlea in the inner ear, stimulating thousands of tiny hair cells. This results in the transformation of the vibrations into electrical impulses finally perceived by the brain as sound.
      With the above said, note the part where it says "3 small bones" these bones are very tiny and fragile. While the sound it self may not do anything, it is the shear amount of pressure that could possibly damage these crucial bones. Leaving you deaf and dizzy.

      Lengthy exposure to high frequencies causes permanent hearing loss. And they aren't exposing themselves anywhere near long enough to cause damage.

    • @MrXjoeharperx

    What is the point in moving that much air? At a certain point you are no longer hearing true bass, but just the effects that the air flow is having on the environment around you. It might be cool to have air pressure feel like it is liquefying you, but there is most likely cheaper ways to have that experience. When all you here is BRRRRR! BRRRRRR! BRRRRR! from the woofer, you have gone past what the enclosure and environment can handle. The environment itself becomes a transducer and that obviously does not equal quality bass reproduction. Give me a woofer balanced and adjusted to it's environment any day over too much power for the environment size.

      Bass doesn’t destroy your hearing...it’s not about how loud it is, it’s the pitch. 157db at 110hz would probably make your ears bleed.

    • @rhuttrho88
      @rhuttrho88 6 лет назад +1

      @Peep's favorite network think about it that's why your ring when get hearing damage from loud music. It's the high pitched sounds that get you. Like an airplane taking off is only about 112db or 126, that's alot but also the frequency range of the sound is what makes you go deaf.
