I just thought that someone on Jimmy Kimmel's staff applied her makeup, and did so in a more flattering fashion than how she's made up on her show.
Sam's enough of a feminist that she doesn't usually go for that look, but if you're sitting in a chair, you open your eyes and you look like that.. ..pretty good really.. ..and you're on camera in a few minutes -- you don't go out of your way to scrape it off.
