I’ve had Titan bivvies for over 20 years and they’ve stood the test of time. I wouldn’t swap my T1 for the v2 for just a small change to the peak, though.
Im looking at buying a Titan T2, but have my reservations about it only using 5000hh material. The newer bivvies coming onto the market seem to be getting a thicker and supposedly more waterproof material? Just dont want to spend £799.99 on the camo version for it to rip around the pegging points etc
@@willeymunda That’s understandable. I have had two Titans; the first was a Titan 2000 and that stood up to several summer thunderstorms in the Netherlands, which were really intense. Last autumn, my T1 stood up to two really heavy sessions of driving rain in France without issue. The hype around who has the greatest water protection doesn’t cover the whole story. You also need to think of how durable the frame is, how easy it is to erect and put away and whether the footprint suits your style of fishing. I have had and seen many bivvies in my years and I prefer the Titan system. It’s all down to personal choice and budget, but taking the whole range in point, you really do get what you pay for in this arena.
Thanks for the review. I appreciate you have a lot of products to review and the time it takes to complete these videos. When reviewing products with this kind of value can you compare the specs of the bivvy I.e. weight, material, accessories (there weight) etc. Just watching the video I could see areas of improvement where windows could be opened and closed from inside the bivvy so not to have to get out to get wet (if raining) as an example. Bivvy did not show features to hold pockets or inserts or areas to hang bivvy light. Bivvy did not detail its potential for condensation issues (fabric material its performance vs weight and cost) or how easy the ground sheet is to use I.e. does it clip or zip in? Does it have a mud flap like Fox frontier has? How easy is it to pack down into its carry bag? How does its price fair against other bivvy’s taking into account its price point and features vs it’s price point and features with all other accessories that may be required for all seasons. How you rate its overall value having reviewed it against its previous model and other competitors within the market. Hope you can see the constructive side to these comments, it would certainly help the consumer understand why a bivvy may be worth the extra money or not! Regards Karl
Sick & tired of companies that keep so called improving there designs & charging you a small fortune to replace the bivvy you got less than 12 months ago. Spend a bit more time making sure the original bivvy is has good has can be in the first place. These little tweeks they make & then call it a mk2 is ridiculous, the bloody things are extortionate in the first place, surley you would expect a good few years out of it before they try & sell you an upgraded version for £800 that the water will run off better, absolute joke
Had Nash for years along with trakker, both are brilliant but the prices are as outrageous as how much footballers get paid! Top tip for people wanting to buy this gear is to get good in second hand and save your har£ earnt pennies👍
Mate I agree I have the fox frontier xr camo the nash titan t2 camo and the trakker tempest ev 150 seems silly but used for different sessions and I agree the price is major
My T1 was dreadful. Leaked after less than 18 months and the zip on the infill panel failed. I had only unzipped it twice in its life. I now have a tempest 150 and its been significantly better all round.
I've had 2 Mk1 Titan T1's they are awesome and sheltered me in some epic stormy weather. My only gripe was the fabric faded badly every time which led me to selling it. If they made the bivvy in the less breathable 410D material I'd get one again that stuff is bombproof.
willeymunda no idea it’s got a sort of aquatex type material that is a decent hard wearing thickness with a canvas texture feel. It just fades quickly sadly. Shame because they are a great bivvy... perhaps I’m a terrible tackle tart
Hed never used it before but when he put it up the rear vents were open, why cant nash ever get things right the first time theres always a mk2 of everything at an extortionate price
Sooo...all that's changed is the bent pole and clip, a problem kind of solved which shouldn't have been there in the first place. Have they sorted out the inner capsule where you have to roll the door downwards into all the clart on the floor which also then becomes a trip hazard in the night...er no. That's why I haven't got mine anymore.
Very good, just make sure you do another vlog on it in the summer. Went through 3, T1 camo's until i got one i was happy with. When they are good they are the brilliant. I actually use my old V2 brolly groundsheet inside (after selling the brolly paper thin material) amazingly Nash have created a freakin tardis in a T1c soo much room and thicker material. That peak is to die for.
Not really enough detail for me. What is the fabric? How waterproof is it? How big is it inside, in centimetres? How heavy is it? How big packed down? How much condensation on a winter night?
@@carpologytv I personally don't use ground sheets as they are useless. If you use them you just bring all the rain, mud and shit from outside onto the top of the groundsheet anyway, so its the same as being outside in the mud,, its pointless, Why have the hassle of setting it up when within 5 mins of rain you now have it inside the bivvy. Unless you take your boots off every time you enter which is pointless. Get a run and then have to spend minutes putting your boots back on to go outside... lol
Trakker tempest I had the nash one 1st time I used it the heavens open and the bivvy Let water in all the panels I email nash was not bothered taken over a mth to get my money back
I love the design of these bivys especially the peak If only it had a magnetic opening closing inner capsule and little rigid flaps to keep the vents partially open like trakker this would be the absolute ultimate bivy to blow the rest out of the water, I really want one
Condensation is ridiculous Mate I've just bought 1 and nash said yes it will condensate in winter but if you buy the wrap it should reduce the problem...
@@archivefootage7898 yes the condensation is on the inside of the bivvy the capsule protects u from this but the wrap and leaving a gap for air does help thus seems to be in winter ,I've used it from feb and it's fine
Well i wouldent be relying on that front clip to stop water puddleing on the roof it dident help mine at all i had to make my own skull cap from a pattern which fits on the frame with clips and thick elastic fits like a glove all good now they could easily make them for the titans
Let's see what the seams are like. Cause I've got the first hide and they are coming away. Just like they use to so in the 90s. And how much 700 ? So you cant give a review after 2 days..come on.
Nash used to put out a nice glossy mag with all his new stuff but when you went to buy it no one had any they took your money and ordered it from nash when he had enough orders he would get them made in China and you would have to wait 6-8 weeks he makes a fortune from carp anglers always has

Better sticking to forums for reviews never seen a single angler in the trade slag a product off, they are always the dogs bollocks,
in contrast, i've never seen a single angler say any thing positive in forums , or maybe some people are only interested in slagging things off?

For 800 I can buy a cheap van and sleep in the back of that and buy a 40 pound dome tent .
I got the T1 camo, best bivvy in my opinion, can’t fault it 😎👍

Possibly the the most refined bivvy on the carp fishing market....until the MK3 comes out in a fortnight's time.
Never known a company discontinue products like Nash do

be nice if you could open the rear vents, from the inside.

Yep got some shots of the front the back vents and some wally sat on a bedchair waffling on great review typical utube reviews
Would definitely be putting a ground sheet down where that’s set up 😂
He sleeps standing up in his wellies 🤪
I love my Mk1 but paid much less. The RRP is too much. The only drag is the weight - 13kg without the capsule. Otherwise its banging.
frontier x is a good bivvy just has a bit of rock with it been flat backed
Carl and alex reservoir diaries season 1🤔
It is its weirwood reservoir in East sussex
It’s has only 5000mm hydrostatic, previous Titan has 10000mm. Progress (no)🙈

A two day review. Wanted to be two months.. I had the first 2 ever titans.. 1996 and 1998. Probably the best bivey out there
Trakker tempest advanced or Nash t1 MK2?
Trakker tempest I had the nash one 1st time I used it the heavens open and the bivvy Let water in all the panels I email nash was not bothered taken over a mth to get my money back

Trakker all the way
What's the pack down size and weight ?
