I've been hooked on Monsters.....All the actors were top class and the way the story was told kept me interested right to the last minute. The scene of the boys being driven to different prisons was so emotional. The actors who played Lyle and Erik were mesmerizing to watch. Best thing since Baby Reindeer!
When the brothers confessed to Erik’s psychologist, Dr. Oziel, every gory detail of how they had killed their parents, including the extremely damaging testimony that they ran out of ammunition and had to go outside to reload Lyle’s gun so that he could return and fire the final shot into his dying mother’s face, neither mentioned that their father sexually molested them both.
Such a contradictory use of the same song. In episode one, it somehow evokes a short of disgust for these two... but in the last episode, the same song evokes so much of empathy for them. The one who pick this song, i thank you.
Lyle Menendez (the real man) dedicated it to Jose and Kitty at their funeral when Lyle was wearing his fathers shoes. A+ acting by Nicholas Chavez btw as well as Javier who plays Jose!
Same here. The songs were stuck in my head for weeks keeping the Menendez Brothers on my mind even more so..I feel for them and hope they finally get released. The producers chose amazing music which brought most of us back to the 80s helping us remember what those days were like ❤.
This scene broke my heart.😢 The actors did their great job and the music was perfect. After I knew that the brothers were burst into tears when they finally got together in 2018 I couldn’t help feeling happy for them. They might or might not told the truth but got separated with their siblings is the worst for anyone who has siblings.
Realmente, eu não entendi por que escolheram essa música p está cena, mas ficou perfeita! Senti um grande vazio vendo os irmãos sendo separados! Muito triste!
Amazing series with outstanding performances from these actors. Such a tragic ending for the entire family. I hope the boys are released as they've served enough time.
What a fab series. I still remember the news at the time from afar (Australia) as a young kid and thought it was crazy back then. This series was portrayed brilliantly and this song was perfect for it
For what they went through they should be released. Serving 34 years for being molested as children, they did what many would in that situation to those MONSTER parents.
Tugged at my heart when they played this song at the end of the menendez movie, as they didn't see each other again for 22 years after they went to different prisons.
I've watched this 5 times already. I am from the 1990s when we were all scandalized by this and were insensitive to make sexual abuse. My heart broke every time I watched this scene.
No one does anything without reason. I believe the two siblings have suffered from this madness since they were young, and I hope they have the chance to live outside.😔

Hey @Linda Rocco. They're playing our song. This was our biggest selling single with 7 million sold in the US alone. We are so excited that a new generation of listeners are enjoying our fabulous music!! Thank you!!
I think the hardest moment was when both brothers are already in their cars, and at the end, they look at each other and smile, thinking they’ll be together 2:40 min and then the cars go in different directions. It breaks your heart.
Why? This song was about a man and woman breaking up and going their own separate way because they couldn't see eye to eye, and so we're just wasting one another's time. It's was the worst song choice ever. I grew up in the 80's and am very familiar with this song. They didn't think about this one at all.
I cried so much. Free the brothers. A 2023 witness statement from a member of the band Jose Menéndez owned, makes allegations against Jose (their father) of serious sexual assault.
The ending with this song was actually epic. I was 12 when they killed their parents. I loved this song then and still do even though milli vanilli didn't actually sing. I honestly unsure whether the boys were sexually abused but I think they have done enough time and should be released
You guys are imbeciles if you think they made it up when there was so much corroborating evidence and not just from family, teachers, coaches and now new victims coming forward.
They need to be released!!!!!😡😢😢😢 We've waited over for 30 years for that to happen!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in my 20's & studying Law when this whole thing happened, so I was hooked on the first trial & spent so many days in university discussing the case... The Netflix show made me really angry in places, especially in it's portrayal of Lyle... ( I really didn't want to watch it at first, but yesterday I binged all 9 Episodes 😭😭😭) but the positive thing that will hopefully come from it is that the younger generations are now aware of Lyle & Erik's story. I urge them to watch documentaries & try to seek out old videos of the first trial & to remember that the Netflix show is not factual in many parts. I hope that justice will finally be served while I'm still around. Erik & Lyle, if you ever see this comment, know that you have never been forgotten💞💞
@@georgiamarierx9682 Hey Georgia. I have both sympathy & empathy for ANY human being who is a victim of a miscarriage of justice. . I don’t understand why these brothers can’t receive justice. In a society which takes the sexual abuse of children so seriously, why do they seem to believe it doesn’t matter here? This was manslaughter, not murder.
