When it came to kids and dogs The Freak had a soft spot. We saw that with Shane and her dog Major.
Major didnt deserve what happened. Another time i felt bad for her

Joan had was a big softy when it came to children. I loved the storyline when she took in Shane. I remember cheering when I saw this episode for the first time.
She wanted to adopt Shane but it didn't work out for her, I liked the way she stood up to Shane's abusive father.
Even the freak has standards ....Maggie was so good ..best TV villan ever I say ..

You can see the minute Reynolds said "No matter how disgusted we are, we have to protect her. Its our job." You just knew by the look on Joan's face that she was gonna take matters into her own hands. Goes to show that even for a sick demented bitch, she even has her limits.
