- निर्देशक शक्ति सामंत और राजेश खन्ना और शर्मिला टैगोर की पहली ब्लॉकबस्टर फिल्म आराधना को बनाने में इतनी दिक्कत आ रही थी कि हर कोई इस फिल्म से पीछा छुड़ाना चाहता था। निर्देशक शक्ति सामंत ने तो इसी बीच कटी पतंग पर काम भी शुरु कर दिया था लेकिन इस फिल्म को बनना ही था, इसलिए तमाम मुश्किलों के बावजूद ये फिल्म बनकर रही और इसने रिलीज होने के साथ ही बॉलीवुड का चलन बदल दिया। इसके साथ ही बॉलीवुड को सुपरस्टार हीरो राजेश खन्ना और सुपर सिंगर किशोर कुमार भी मिले।
