As for the capture thing, it is kind of understandable why Sony did it, what with the possibility of Blu-ray movies being illegally copied via capture card through the HDMI, but I do hope they can figure out how to toggle the protection on and off between movies and games respectively.
I don't think they've really ever not given 'competition' (they aren't a Microsoft company so it's not really competition). They've done a lot of stuff for the PS3 in the past and the PS4 can't capture without a stupid amount of work (or running it through an XBone) so I doubt we'll see anything from it anytime soon...and the same with the 360, that'll affect how much they do in the future, no point in changing a setup that already works later on cause Sony finally got its crap together. Well, the capture thing is kinda a crap reason, honestly. If they were really worried about that they would have disabled it in the PS3, or would have required Microsoft do the same thing when they licensed Blu-Ray to them for the XBone. (And yeah, I know what you mean about the unboxing, that thing costs almost as much as a paycheck...)
Some physics tips - when there's people about to fall out, level out as well as slowing down to move them back up. Diving doesn't help since it increases your speed and will only push people back faster. The point is, you want to slow down as much as possible to let people move back up to the front. Also avoid sudden movements. Dat Roosterteeth doe.
