Been reading for the past 2 days, really like the series so far, but I thought I wasn't connecting.....omggg I was reading Book 2 first!! Well, now I will pause that and start with Book 1 like a normal person!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Speaking of things that feel like a punishment to read, that was precisely why I DNF'd Out There. 😆 You have definitely motivated me to keep going with Robin Hobb though, but I am only 2 books in and it is going to take me decades to finish all 16 books (literal decades actually since I am pretty sure I read Assassin's Apprentice for the first time about 20 years ago).

15:10 Hi Mhara🥰. Do you have any suggestions for me of boos within books📚? I have read al of the Anthony Horowitz books. I love historical fiction with books 📚 in them and I love mysteries
Two thoughts: 1) I loved The Bookish Life of Nina Hill exactly for the reasons you dnf’ed it 😂. I’m not a huge Romance fan, so the fact that the romantic storyline was like the third thing going on in her life was perfect for me. I like the depth in her life/character even at a lighthearted/cozy level. 2) you don’t need to apologize for not completing a year long challenge! I know I would do the same thing myself, so I’m telling the both of us, it’s okay to commit to something and then change your mind. Especially with something that big that would just be a chore with no benefit to you in the long run. Let’s be okay with saying No! 🎉
It's hard for me to say that for a nearly 60 book series but... yes it is best read in order to get into the character dynamics 😅 That said, if you want to sample what the books are like without going back to the beginning, #53 called Forgotten in Death can be read as a standalone pretty well

Oh no!! Yes, part of the tension of the series is Fitz having so much on his shoulders and the strain it puts on him so... if you want to not see Fitz suffer, stop now! 😅 But there's also a lot of love and relationships that ultimately support him along the way
@@bookslikewhoa I felt like I suffered more than Fitz! haha... I was just so frustrated with the people around him. I will continue, but I just had to have some distance between him and Regal. :)
Just read it. And then you can start a reread. And watch all the booktube videos. And then it's never done but will always live on. One if my favorite characters ever is in Fitz and Fool
Ooo, yeah, I forgot to add those warnings. It's more that there is a lot of deaths of beloved animals, though there is also some abuse. If you wanted to try Hobb without that issue, the Liveship Traders and the Rain Wild Chronicles are pretty safe if I'm remembering rightly (though there are other heart wrenching elements, since that's her thing 😅)
@@bookslikewhoa - that's helpful to know! I just heard that there was animal abuse but if it's just sad when a loved animal dies I can deal with that (well you know with tears) I just can't handle reading cruelty. If I read the first book Assassin's Apprentice and like or dislike it will that help me judge if I should continue on with the Fitz books?
Really hated Last Cueinista. For some reason it hit me really negative and that sentence...we went to sleep for 348 years....something.....made me want to throw the book against the wall. Read little more than did a DNF. Put it rock bottom of the TBR pile keeping because EVERYBODY else loved it. Shocked.
The shortest month had the most wins for you. 👏 "Who is surprised to see a T. Kingfisher here? No one." You said it before I did. hahaha 😂 edit: I'm fairly sure there is a whole subreddit dedicated to progressive people losing their parents to extreme alt-right newsfeeds.
Hello, what a pleasure to write to you, how beautiful you look incredible, I like your tone of voice. I am from Venezuela and for some time I have been enjoying the content of your channel; you are a very knowledgeable person on the subject; I know that you have very limited but precise time and I need your help and all those who enjoy reading this wonderful genre that is nothing more than the advances of the puzzle of the visions of humanity that will materialize in the future; I would like to recommend a science fiction book THE FUTURISTIC RESURRECTION OF JERSON AND MARÍA SOLER. That deals with a controversial issue from a futuristic vision; I would greatly appreciate your help; since in my country everything is difficult; I know that you are from another country that has greater possibilities than ours to support new talents; Many greetings to you and your followers.
Yeah, I loved that book. But I would not call it a romance and I don't even think it says that on the cover. There are romantic elements, but it's part of the bigger picture.

Everyone seems to love the Realm of the Enderlings but I cannot make it through Royal Assassin.
If you're wanting to restart it, you could try again with the Liveship Traders; but it may also just not be for you & thats OK!
If you are at all familiar with Lovecraft (and enjoy Lovecraft subversion like I do), I would read Lavalle's "The Ballad of Black Tom" next :D
please do a spoilery review of Robin Hobb's last series!
Liene & I will get fully into in her live stream :)
I’m scared to read Hobb because of the animal abuse. Is it really bad? I want to try but can’t stand read about animal abuse/neglect/killing.
Agree with you about Bookish Life of Nina Hill; good writing but bad romance.
Mara, you like drag race, of course you love camp (as do I) 🤣
Really hated Last Cueinista. For some reason it hit me really negative and that sentence...we went to sleep for 348 years....something.....made me want to throw the book against the wall. Read little more than did a DNF. Put it rock bottom of the TBR pile keeping because EVERYBODY else loved it. Shocked.
...but did Wrong Place Wrong Time make you cry? 😂
You know it did! 😹
The shortest month had the most wins for you. 👏
"Who is surprised to see a T. Kingfisher here? No one." You said it before I did. hahaha 😂
edit: I'm fairly sure there is a whole subreddit dedicated to progressive people losing their parents to extreme alt-right newsfeeds.
That deals with a controversial issue from a futuristic vision; I would greatly appreciate your help; since in my country everything is difficult; I know that you are from another country that has greater possibilities than ours to support new talents; Many greetings to you and your followers.
lol i liked the bookish life of nina hill but def more of a women's fiction than a romance
Yeah, I loved that book. But I would not call it a romance and I don't even think it says that on the cover. There are romantic elements, but it's part of the bigger picture.
Another Progressive Millenial here with a parent who keeps getting more and more racist and bizarre. 🙃
Oh nauuurrrr 🥴
