    It is just that no one can fault Justice Scalia for interpreting the law strictly to the letter.

      But the faultiness IS interpreting the law strictly to the letter sometimes, because framers thought of a piece of law to be principles not strict rules in the common law tradition, not only talking about the Constitution, but also other statutes.
