    Thank you so much for this . I have been feeling so guilty lately for choosing work over spending time helping people .. but this made me feel a lot better , knowing that other people are trapped in unhealthy lifestyles just to please others .. but even this is STILL selfish no matter which way you slice it . The Luis change of perspective really helped me .

    Wow. Thank you for sharing that nugget of gold. I love how authentic and honest you are with your audience. I wonder if this is the new way of doing business. Although people seem to be pretty dumb and never seem to learn from our own mistakes.

      My pleasure John, thanks for your kind words, and I hope it is the new way of doing business. When you rip guys off you ruin a potential lifetime client or customer. Selling BS is short term thinking, being real pays off on the end by referrals and creating a valuable brand.

    • @etinarcadiaego7424
      @etinarcadiaego7424 6 лет назад

      Brian McClean Remember, dude, that it goes both ways. You can also dump her if you feel she is no longer fulfilling your needs in a satisfactory manner. Also, maybe just date girls a league below you that have fewer options and choices. Don't waste your time on high-maintainance girls that easily get what they want. Give me an average girl that puts out and I'm good. As long as she fulfills my needs, I'm satisfied with her. As far as looks go, yes they care about that, but that's why you date girls in your league or lower. I am not bad looking but I am short and poor right now so I am trying to pursue women in my league. I mean, yes, it is depressing but what can you do?

    By being selfish one can actually amass huge wealth to help others. In the end, being selfish is more altruistic and sensible. Just imagine if Bill Gates didn't worked on building his Microsoft empire.

    It's difficult to go against mom when she is the one who raised and was god like to me.. I see she has been manipulative and deceptive to get things done from me by guilting me, but I see that she doesn't do this consciously. So maybe I shouldn't go against her in harsh way, but just stand and function from my truth, even if she goes against and tries to control me by manipulating ways,
    knowing myself that I stand right.. It will require courage to stand against the one who has been god of my life..

    • @Iquey
      @Iquey 5 лет назад

      Are you talking about chores? Or other things? Mom's nag their children to do basic chores so they don't have to do all the work once the children are able bodied and this prepares them for adulthood and basic cleanliness and responsibility. Unless you're going to get a high paying job and employ a maid, you gotta be able to perform basic household tasks.

    I always thought word "selfish" was negative. For example if there are 10 people but only one piece of cake left. If I rush to get it before someone else does then I am being selfish.

    • @RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign
      @RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign 5 лет назад

      It's negative because many people pretend not to be selfish and use the word to guilt and shame others. As for the cake, rushing to grab the last piece is rude and a sign of bad manners, focusing on your self interest is not about being rude.

BD ...This video drags a bit bro. Especially at the begging. If you see for yourself, your energy level is lower compared to a lot of your other vlogs ...
    I aim to gain the life strategies and tools in order to make a 'revolutionary lifestyle' channel myself.

    everything was cool until the end, talking about how we'd have a better world now if everyone acted out of self interest. Assuming the world was safer centuries ago is flawed. For the most part, people are safer now than ever before. We just know about more injustices due to media outlets.

    • @RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign
      @RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign 7 лет назад +2

      +RyanPatrick people act in their self interests at all times regardless, they're just not self aware enough to align their wants to their happiness. I.e. you can't be consistently happy robbing stealing and raping.

    • @etinarcadiaego7424
      @etinarcadiaego7424 6 лет назад

      Revolutionary Lifestyle Design Exactly. Repeatedly committing horrible crimes against people is NOT in one's self-interest as society will get sick of your shit and take you down. I feel that religious repression of human sexuality is partly to blame for the rise in sexual assaults. When one is told that one's natural drives and urges are inherently sinful, one becomes frustrated and resentful.

      Chris H They world is flawed and broken and that will never change. There will never be any other world but this one so just accept that the world is sinful. It will never be "fixed" or turned into a "paradise".

  • @etinarcadiaego7424
    @etinarcadiaego7424 6 лет назад

    Well, thank god, I am already selfish. I have rejected altruism at every turn pretty much my entire life. This is why I never bought into Christianity. A deity that would purposefully sacrifice himself and not lift a finger in his own defense is not worthy of my reverence. What Ayn Rand described as "enlightened self-interest" is my guided influence. The only love that is not conditional is possibly a mother's love for her child. There are no other exceptions. I know a woman can never love me unconditionally as I can never her the same. I am cool with that, such is life. I don't even hold it against them. Though I will say if a girl won't put out or refuses to have sex before marriage, I will drop her immediately. A relationship without sex has no value at all for me.
