Simbashi is very famous among salary men after work. I went and still going to Shimbshi many times. There are also many small and nice standing Izakayas (Tachinomi), where you can meet the salary men and local people to enjoy a drink after work.
And Shmbashi is still a cheap price option compare to other places in Tokyo.
