The steal plate, had the original guy, that built it,he welded his name and date, and BJ & The Bear truck,on the steal plate.
When they finish restoring the truck, when they took it back to the factory, they found the guy that built the truck, and gave him the plate with his name and everything on it.
So unless you were with the TV show, and already restored it 5 years ago, that probably isn't the original BJ And The Bear truck.
Sorry!!
Danny at Count's Customs would freak out at this.😮
$1000 for those wheels ... Got some swamp land in the Glades too I bet.
Mark Coddington yeah he sure does like to talk thanks for watchibg
Your man fed you some BS about BJ and the Bear though. The first episode of BJ and the Bear or the pilot movie named The Foundlings, featured BJ (Greg Evigan) driving a '78 Kenworth K100 "flat top cab over.It was not an aerodyne with the double sleeper. BJ did not drive the aerodyne KW until the first regular "hour long" episode which was titled "The odyssey of the Shady Truth"
Michael Marburger thanks for watching
Yes I was little but I remember the two different rigs from the show.if this one was found the other should be found as well.
@@suzannewillis817 the bj truck in this vid is the truck that ran throught the sighn at the beging credits its been verifed and one of the trucks built by kenworth for the show has been found and restored plus one of the original trailer go to facebook and look up a guy name paul sagehorne plus you can go to www.tvtrucking.com same guy out of sparta wi
If that was one of the original BJ and the Bear tractors, then it should of had a plate on the dash saying that the truck was built for NBC Studios like the real BJ and the Bear trucks did. The owner would have made a point to show you the plate on the dash if that truck had one. I think that was just a red/white “Salem” paint scheme Aerodyne. It’s cool, but not a BJ and the Bear screen used truck.
Is that right ? Do you know where those can be found ? Are they on RUclips ?
I was only 3 when that show came out, but when I was 5, I remember the red semi truck toy at Wollsworth, aling with the silver semi truck from Smokey and the Bandit II. I did not know the tv show or movies. LOL
Love the old cabovers
I would be like a kid in a candy store at this guys place
I would love to have a walk around that place
Thanks for watching
Your welcome buddy
Cool, gave it a like. But wife and I were getting dizzy watching the ground. Glad I don't have s big property because that's what it would look like . Only I would add boats and motorcycles. Lol
Mike T thanks for the like and watching it was just a impulse video he started talking and didn’t stop i was just walking around with the phone in my hand feel free check out some of my other videos much less ground:)
Lol, ya us truckers can get like that.
It looks like he's killing history rather than preserving it.
Thanks for the video though... cool stuff.
Sounds like he's a bullshitter , he don't work on nothing. Don't have 1 thing to show he has done
Ahh ...look at his garage!! Hoarder ....keep the bj truck and the 1 year only one. Dump all them f-body’s unless their a tune port 350 car ... that t/a could be nice ,, but he ain’t doing nothing. It’s all good to really want to get/keep cool old cars and trucks but unless you have bank. You ain’t doing nothing ,,, so why waste your time?
8V92TA Detroit in the KW? RIP Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed.
Great video. I used to watch that show on tv.
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching
Is it one of the OG K-123 COE from BJ & the Bear ? Couldn't see any reminance of sign writing on the door. Does anyone know the whereabouts of the original K100 (non aerodyne) from BJ & the Bear disappeared to ? You can't watch the American Trucker BJ episode. It says it's a private video. That sux.
This guy isn’t a collector he’s a hoarder. Collectors buy to fix up and restore hoarders just buy and let them go to shit.
I love that these guy save these. But…. They will never restore or sell any of them.
wow arodyneogasm, I like arodyne kw cabovers but not so much flat tops. they are very special trucks, a cut above in the late 70s and 80s. I got to see the bj truck at Columbus kw when I was young!
jeep guy thanks for watching
Can’t see having so many cars and trucks and less you’re willing to either fix them or use for parts. I have four vehicles at home and only three drivers and feel like I’m hoarding cars.
LOOK UNDER THE FITH WHEEL SEE IF THERE IS A WELD BEED THERE THAT READS BJ AND THE BEAR
that might be a replica
@@elcabezon5487 that's what Im thinking
I Kno the man in Sparta Wisconsin
That owns one of the bj and the bear truck and a move'n on truck
Those r the real McCoy
He does have one replica of the bj and the bear truck
Gerald your exactly right the truck from Sparta is one of them the other is at Boone Missouri under a grain trailer and the one at Sparta does have the weld bead under the fifth wheel it's the real McCoy
@@ronaldhill9561 I didn't Kno were the second truck was at
I just Kno cause I heard it on a interview on RUclips when they took the bj and the bear truck back to were they were built
One of the men that built it said there would be a bj and the bear weld beed on the bottom of the the fith wheel
@@ronaldhill9561 they both should have the weld bead under the fith wheel
Nice cabovers....look Nice
Angel Velazquez thanks for watching stay safe out there brother
I like the square body chevys he has but like you said, he's not gonna do a thing with them
I’m afraid that can’t be the actual truck I think it’s just a truck that looks like it because I seen a video not too long ago about the BJ and the bear truck and trailer being restored and when it was done because the guy was driving it because the same guy owned the original Smokey and the bandit truck and trailer The original BJ and the bear truck and trailer is in Sparta Wisconsin.
SuperAgentman007 thanks for watching
Are we holding onto it cause it was a 1yr truck, Big deal build it so that it can see road instead ot pasture land😢
wish hand hold thst camera up more so we can see things
fred Alexander sorry he didn’t want to be on camera I pieced together what I could thanks for watching
Mike Johnson .... I was told the same thing... this video was ILLEGALLY recorded!!! NO verbal or written permission!
Mike Johnson ... John just told me about this tonight. He is pissed!!!
@@subman719 lol what?
@@mintyman1968 ... I am close friend’s with the owner of these trucks... he wasn’t aware he was being recorded because of the way the guy held his phone. No permission was asked, that’s why you mostly see the ground. He was trying to hide the fact that he was recording!
I’d like to see anything this guy has built/ finished.
What was the 70‘s trucker movie where it was the old truckers last run Gentlemen Jim?
Yup, that's too bad this guy will probably never get to any of those rotting cars and trucks. I hope he proves me wrong.
Appreciate the video, the guy has amassed a large collection.....but isn't doing it a bit of good letting it rot. Guarantee if he sells anything, he'll have a BAD case of "Barrett-Jackson Syndrome" and think he's sitting on a goldmine. "I know what I got".....the Bicentennial Aerodyne IS rare, but needs a TON of work to make it worth anything. The '85 "Liberty
Edition" is nothing more than a parts truck, unless he strips others on the property for parts(which would make sense ONLY if the guy has any intention of doing anything with it). The "Lookalike" BJ And The Bear K100 Aerodyne....yeah, not buying it's a legit series-used tractor unless that dash plaque is present. Otherwise, it's just what was ONCE a very nice cabover KW with a famous paintjob. That faux Lambo doesn't look as if it's EVER turned a wheel under it's own power....9 times out of 10, that whole collection will be crushed either when he croaks, or county zoning condemns it. Bit of a shame...
bowslap your so right thanks for watching
I watched it very week as a little kid
