Invicta seems to get a lot of abuse but from where I live I can't see another manufacturer willing to lower themselves to sell to my end of the market. Reputable and reliable movement, desirable features, durable build quality and affordable pricing. Of course, there are some styles that don't suit my taste and some I can't afford but that can be said for just about every watch manufacturer.
I bought the Invicta Pro diver 8927OB with a 40 mm case and I must say that it is a very nice piece well made, it is not a rolex, it does not pretend to be nor do I intend it to be, this watch is a piece of excellent quality / price in my case pay 88 USD for mine, In short, it is a well-made watch, with a good movement and excellent construction materials, the rotating spong may be a bit hard for some people, but since I am not a diver it does not bother me at all, I also have the Casio MDV 106G and it is also an excellent diver. I liked your video, it is always good to listen to opinions based on your own taste and experience and not on brand terms or prices from other universes.
I love my 8926ob 40mm Pro Diver. Got for a song on Amazon. $45 U.S. I actually like the fact that Invicta does not hold back making sure you know it's not a Rolex. I'd never wear a Rolex, anyway. Although, I like the look of the Submariner.
Great looking watch! I bought a limited Star Wars version and the value of these pro divers are hard to beat. I’m seriously thinking about getting a second one that has more of a traditional look.
Excellent video and good information, I can guarantee that the INVICTA watches are good, I have a Grand Diver for 9 years and a Pro Diver, both work well and without problem. I just bought a new Invicta model 29178 similar to a Rolex Submariner in black for $80 USD and also bought an Orient Kamasu watch. Among these I put Orient as number one with its F6922 machine followed by the Grand Diver Invicta with NH35A machine.
I just purchased the 8930OB Automatic Pro Diver 40mm for $48 US (It has since gone back up to $79 US) and am very pleased with it. It has the Seiko NH35A S11 movement. For the price it's hard to fault. The bracelet links do rattle a bit, but seem robust enough. The fit and finish overall is way beyond what I expected - since, as you said, the movement alone can cost a good bit. I had been wanting an automatic watch for a while and this fit the bill. Its accuracy, in the brief time I have used it, has been very good. Can't speak to longevity of course, but I did a bit of research on this brand and the movement. The opinion overall was favorable for both. I watched some reviews where folks had owned the watch for years - in one case 18 years - and it was still ticking along. It's a nice looking daily driver that won't break my budget if it gets damaged in some way.
The thing with Invicta and why I like them is value for your money. Example I bought the Invicta pro diver, with Sellita sd200 for $170.00. You can get any watch with a Sellita for that price. Love Invicta
My 8926ob has been running almost 15 years now. Dropped it years ago on warehouse floor and now something rattles in it. But still working just the same. I don’t like all the over the top, 75mm silly watches Invicta makes, but the divers are great for the money.
I'm a invicta man, my collection is getting bigger,I have the 8928 and the gold one 9743 they are very classy watches, I think a may get two more because now I'm buy 52mm and I may get one or two larger.
Can you do a follow up video on your efforts to loosen the stiffness of the bezel. My only complaint with my watch is the bezel. The stiffness makes the bezel feature worthless.
Cool video , I just got in. To watches , i to fly drones , .. my other hobby is Men's fragrances . I have a Invicta pro diver 25852 and i have a Invicta bolt on the way. . I have a question brother, you said you ordered something from Amazon bout a year ago, and nothing was in the box. Did Amazon take care of it or did you just lose ?
I'm no fanboy,I've got 40 years experience and I tend to get to the point faster than you do.Invictas are very best quality for the money.Ive never paid more than 80.00 USD! For an Invicta!
Interesting review of the Invicta 42mm 29178 Pro Diver. You are quite charming, however, you do not discuss what, if anything, makes this watch special to you. I own this watch. In fact, it was one of my first watches in the collection. I love it so much that after I scratched the crystal, I decided to simply buy another watch versus trying to get a proper crystal replacement. I just received the new one today and am quite happy with the watch in the main. Picked it up from Amazon for just under $70.00 US. Everything seems to be spot on! I can tell you that this watch looks fantastic on the wrist. I really do like the jubilee bracelet and think that the overall build and mareiial quality at this price point is exceptional. If you are looking for a solid and reliable automatic diver that is a homage to the Rolex Submariner, this is the watch for you! All the best . . . ! 😎
Someone stole my Rolex Submariner back in 1983. I was never able to buy another one, but decided to ease my broken heart and buy the 8026 OB in 2024. I can honestly say, it's much better than the Rolex I had. You're paying for the Rolex name, not the timepiece. The only thing that really upsets me is I saw all these people unboxing Their invicta Pro Diver with the gold rotor, and I ended up getting one with the blank. Stainless steel rotor that was the only thing I was not pleased about, Other than the fact that it arrived on my doorstep. By UPS in a plain brown paper envelope. No padding whathe room side and the tip of the yellow invictor box was crushed in a little bit. And the bag had about a 4 inch rip in it. I give them one star for shipping a $100.00 watch in a paper unpadded envelope. The Invicta box was not protected by an outside box as I had seen many others receive. No owners manual either, just a business card with a QR code to download Manuel. Not thoroughly impressed about all the things they shorted me on. Otherwise, the watch is highly accurate and given maintenance Every 5 or 7 years will last several generations.
Make no mistake these invicta automatic pro divers are insane value for money... Absolutely fantastic and anyone who disagrees is a total watch snob... Listen I have a huge collection of mechanical watches from luxury Swiss brands & quality Chinese replicas... I've owned 2 ROLEX SUBMARINERS & AN AIRKING in my watch collecting journey and I can honestly say I get as much pleasure wearing my invicta pro diver as I did wearing my ROLEX SUBMARINERS they feel no different at all.... My pro diver cost sub £100 off amazon and is utterly reliable and the bullet proof seiko engine runs close to chronometer tolerances absolutely amazing..... Now the big question is how on earth do ROLEX get people to GET on good terms & well in with a ROLEX AD... then join a pathetic and absolutely redicolous waiting list and spend a kings ransom on a submariner???? ROLEX could sell snow to the Eskimos absolutely amazing... Guys save yourself a whole wedge of cash and just go buy an invicta pro diver..... Footnote I owned 3 ROLEXS in the early 1980s each one cost sub 1k just walked into the jewellery store and brought them the from the display in the window.... Try doing that now for a stainless steel sports model.... 2022 ROLEXS are way Way overpriced, overrated and overhyped.... Joe public dosent know or even care if your wearing a ROLEX or an invicta.....
I've bought this watch for my son for Christmas. I paid £50.00 for an immaculate, unworn second hand one. You'd be hard pressed to buy the seiko movement for that!
Invicta is much better quality than a lot of other cheap brands. Better than Pagani Design and so many other Chinese brands. Few cheaper watches are better like Casio and Timex.
It essentially boils down to whether you can deal with the stupid questions from people who are watch snobs or people who want to point out that you’re NOT wearing a “real Rolex”. I had one, but got tired of explaining to the snobs that I didn’t care nor want a Rolex. Then explaining to the other folks what an Homage watch is and isn’t. It got tiresome. Great video, however. I too am a beginner RUclips’r . Thanks and cheers from a Yank on the other side of the pond.
I have heard a lot of good things about these invicta pro divers. Apparently they are totally safe in water etc too. Great looking, and I think a heavy watch is a good sign. They have Seiko movements you know? 👍🇬🇧
I own quite a few Invictas, as well as watches from Seiko, Citizen, Orient, Casio, Timex, etc. Even in 2023, I've been able to purchase Invicta Pro Diver models with NH35 movements for as low as $60 US. I've had very few problems over the years, with only a couple of quartz examples having significant issues with their movements after 10 years or so (no issues at all with any mechanical or automatic movements). I only ever had a water resistance issue (and subsequent mold/mildew growth) with one example, but that was due to an old o-ring that I should have replaced sooner.
I have the 29178 (black bezel) and I think its great. I can't wear it everyday due to work, so I have to reset and wind it up. If I could wear it all the time, I'd have no issues at all. The Jubilee bracelet is horrible though so I replaced it with a bond nato strap. I've been looking though to put it back on a metal bracelet but I'd like to find an oyster style instead of going back to the Jubilee. All in all, ai really like the watch. No cosmetic issues and it runs good. All the hate comes from the big chunky gimmicky watches Invicta likes to produce. I hate them too, but the submariner homage and its variants is top notch for the price. Great video.
I'm not a collector and I can't for the life of me understand why people collect watches I've been wearing the same Timex for 30 years but I bought a quartz pro diver two weeks ago and I like it . But however it is only a tool that tells the time but it looks good so far I can't fault it and the bracelet fit perfectly but I am the size of a bear .
"Omega wins by a lightyear" . . . Ya think? Let's see - my Invicta automatic Pro Diver cost me under a hundred dollars US. An Omega Seamaster would cost me over $5,000 US. Not a valid comparison by any measure.
The logo is to much for me. I want a logo or name oy watches. But i dont want it to be a main feature. Same reason I i dont get a G shock. To much for me.
Invicta seems to get a lot of abuse but from where I live I can't see another manufacturer willing to lower themselves to sell to my end of the market. Here here. Rolex and Omega have some truly hideous designs as well, yet no one bashes them.
Yes that is true for any watch manufacturer whether they admit it or not!
Fine review. I own 3 Invictas and gifted three to my children. Great watches.
@@Tom_H327Rolex and Omega do not have massive chunks with cheap metals and fake gold.
For the price, this Chinese watch should at least have sapphire
These watches are great value for the money. I own quite a few of them in different color configurations. Enjoy.
That watch is very very pretty. I absolutely love my Invicta’s. All of mine are 51mm or above. My Favorite is my Venom. Great Video…..
The first Invicta I ever purchased. I like the green/black bezel insert. Not an Invicta you see every day. Cheers
Just bought one. Thank you for the great review.

Great looking watch. I've just got one in an Amazon sale. Did you ever replace the Jubilee bracelet with a Nato strap and did it look better?
I bought the black bezel model. I like it and wear it a lot. I put it on a leather strap for a more comfortable fit

It's a very good watch for the price. Got the gold finish.

Nice, been thinking about that (maybe with a strapcode bracelet) or an Orient Kamasu 2.

You just sold me this watch, cheers mate

Great watch I have the blue!!
They are great watches but their biggest vendor sent me a returned watch with the slip still in box instead of my new watch
Look very nice m8
I'm not a collector and I can't for the life of me understand why people collect watches I've been wearing the same Timex for 30 years but I bought a quartz pro diver two weeks ago and I like it . You should check out the new Timex lines but go to the Bank first!
You need to put the microphone closer so we can hear your commentary.
Imagine getting mugged by the roadmen "kommunity" because they mistaken you for a Rolex owner when in fact you wear a Rolex imitation. Well worth it.
That’s not a Rolex Imitation it’s a invicta 70% of the watch industry have a ROLEX LOOK ALIKE! I can name 10… that have a homage in there line up.
@@automaticdial1 no of course it's not an imitation. It's a blatant copy. Cry me a river, gringo.
The only reason why Imvicta wages are hated , is because you not brag about the price
If you find any Invicta's under a $100 (U.S.) they're close outs. I have two Invictas & two Omega Seamasters. Omega win by a lightyear.
Horse Hockey! You're talking about at least a five thousand Dollar Difference!
Plenty of Invictas are obtainable at less than 100.00 dollars Retail.
"Omega wins by a lightyear" . . . Ya think? Let's see - my Invicta automatic Pro Diver cost me under a hundred dollars US. An Omega Seamaster would cost me over $5,000 US.

The first 7 minutes is a waste of time, start at 7
It looks too much like a Rolex for me to put on my wrist.
